Mary Samolovitch of Bethel Park, formerly of Arlington Heights, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at the age of 84.
Mrs. Samolovitch was the beloved wife of Victor; loving mother of Patricia (George) Miller, Victor (Carol) and Tom (Diane) Samolovitch; proud grandmother of Andrew, Timothy, Rachel, Melissa, Nicole, Thomas, Steven and Ashley; great-grandmother of four; dear sister of Anna Stipanac and sister-in-law of Antoinette Delale and Paul Samolovitch.
Arrangements were handled by Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills.
Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Valentine Catholic Church in Bethel Park.
Interment was in Jefferson Memorial Park.

Pauline Bracken

Pauline M. Bracken of Bethel Park, formerly of Youngstown, Ohio, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at the age of 76.
Mrs. Bracken was the beloved wife of the late William Bracken Sr. for 49 years; loving mother of William (Sandy) Bracken Jr. and Pauline (Edward) Tissue; proud grandmother of Summer, Eddie, Katlyn and Billy; sister of Nancy Orr, Alice (Marvin) Wilds and Carolyn Rowe.

Interment was in Jefferson Memorial Park.

William Duffy

William D. Duffy of Upper St. Clair died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at the age of 80.
Mr. Duffy was the beloved husband of the late Eileen; loving father of William, Jean and Kathleen; brother of Francis Duffy and the late Genevieve (Buddy) LaBarge and the Rev. David Duffy; son of the late William and Genevieve Duffy; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A lifelong entrepreneur, Mr. Duffy was committed to serving his community. He was a past president and board member of the Pennsylvania Hotel and Motor Inn Association; board member of the Pennsylvania Travel and Hospitality Association; longtime member and former house chairman of Sewickley Heights Country Club; and an active member of St. Louise DeMarillac Catholic Church.

Entombment was in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Clayton 'Red' Buchanan
former Baldwin councilman
Clayton "Red" Buchanan, 89, of Baldwin Borough for more than 60 years, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2007.
He was husband of the late Madeleine and Carole; bel-oved father of Beverly (Jack) McKee, Kenneth Kushner, Michelle (Anthony) Kyne, Kevin (Lisa) Kushner and the late Barbara Buchanan; grandfather of Shelley (Louis Jr.) Clark Saban, Nicole Kyne, Brooke McKee and Brandi McKee; great-grandfather of Alexa Mitolo, Casey Mitolo and Mekenzie Saban.
He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Louis Fabian, and many friends at Paramount Senior Living.
Red was a drummer and member of the American Federation of Musicians. He served in the Army as a sergeant during World War II. He was an Allegheny County police sergeant of 29 years and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
He served as a councilman for Baldwin Borough, was a member of the Baldwin Borough Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 and the Baldwin Borough Library Advisory Board.
He was the skipper of the "Good Ship Lollipop" for the Gateway Clipper Fleet for 10 years, was appointed by the governor to the PA Fish and Boating Commission Boating Advisory Board, Deputy Waterways Conservation Off-icer PA Fish Commission and past commodore of Oakmont Yacht Club.
He also was a member of the United State Power Squadron, past commander of South Hills Power Squadron, member of the Baldwin Borough Kiwanas Club and the Ten Mile Power Squadron.

Robert Sciulli, 52, of Baldwin Borough, formerly of Oakland died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007.
He was the former husband of Maryann Sciulli; beloved father of Robert Sciulli and Gina Sciulli; loving son of Virginia Sciulli and the late Fred Sciulli; brother of Karen Sciulli, Susan Parnell, Cynthia Newmeyer, Gary Sciulli; brother-in-law of Richard Parnell, Terry Newmeyer, and Connie Sciulli; uncle of Captain Sean Parnell, Shannon Castner, Scott Parnell, Andrew Parnell, Freddie Sciulli, Terianne Sciulli and Shalynn Sciulli.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.
