Josephine (Rini) Niespodzianski, 77, of Brentwood, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007.
She was the wife of the late Carl Niespodzianski; mother of Mamie (Robert) Staudenmaier, Carl (Janice), Diane (Bob) Samuelson and John (Jeannine); grandmother of Julie Hundley, Luke Staudenmaier, Tracy and Bobby Samuelson, Ryan and Alex Niespodzianski; great-grandmother of Anthony Hundley; daughter of the late Charles and Girolma Rini; sister of the late Mildred, Cosma, Antoinette and Jeroma.
Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was a former employee of the Brentwood Giant Eagle. Arrangements made by the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc.
Dan Evans
married 61 years
Dan Evans, 89, formerly of Brentwood, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007.
He was the husband of 61 years to Kathryn Evans; father of Fred (Trish) Evans of Rockville, Md., Anne (Tony) Payling of Wexford and Daniel (Michele) Evans of Kensington, Md.; grandfather of Dyan Gomez, Ian Payling, Karie Evans, Olivia Evans and Grace Evans; caring brother of Gerry Karlson and the late Anne Talvadge, Emil Evosevic, Fred Evosevic and Nell Siemon. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Evans was born on the South Side and was a 1936 South High graduate. He was a steelworker for J&L Steel for 36 years, an active member of the United Steelworkers, served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a POW.
Mr. Evans, along with his wife, was an elder and trustee of the Brentwood Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the American Legion and active in ex-POW affairs. He was both proud and active in his Serbian heritage and a great supporter and lifelong fan of Pittsburgh sports.

Richard Morrell
Former police dispatcher
Richard Morrell, 60, of Brentwood died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007.
He was the brother of Susan (the Honorable Kenneth) Lockhart; uncle of Kenneth (Dawn) Lockhart Jr., Kevin (Debbie) Lockhart, and Kelly (Matt) Wichelmann; great-uncle of Austin, Grant, Jake, Abby, Tiffany, Andrew and Jessica.
Mr. Morrell was a 1965 graduate of Brentwood High school and went on to Gateway Technical/IBM School.
He was a Brentwood police dispatcher for 18 years and a lifelong member (joined in 1974) of the Brentwood Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Morrell also was a lifelong and founding member of the Brentwood EMS.
Mr. Morrell was also voted the Brentwood VFW's "Man of the Year" in 1989.

Anna Neal of Whitehall died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007.
She was the wife of the late Emery Neal; daughter of the late Frank and Anna Scherer; sister of Elsie Morrison of Maryland and the late Ethel Buck of Louisiana. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Patricia Kramer, 65, of Baldwin Borough, died Sept. 25, 2007.
She was the wife of the late Richard; mother of Michelle (Alan) Lesutis and Amy (Sean) Sleeman; grandmother of Zachary, Lance, Darryn and Braden; sister of Sharon Norris, Perry Cunningham II and Susan Graham.
Mrs. Kramer was the breakfast hostess for the Holiday Inn Express in West Mifflin and was a member of Young at Heart and the Ladies Guild of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Janis Hank of Pleasant Hills, formerly of Monongahela, died Sept. 26, 2007.
She was the daughter of the late Walter and Jane Hank; sister of Betty Hank and the late George Hank and Walter Hank Jr.; aunt of Kathy (Roger) Rulong and Walter Hank III; great-aunt of Matthew, Geoffrey and Carolyn Rulong.

Elias Khalil, 76, of Baldwin Borough, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007.
He was the husband of Yassemine Khalil; father of Jamil, Atallah, Firas and John Khalil, Josephine Aboud, Nasra Aboud, Lina Makhoul, Georgette Farah, and Han-nah Kahwash; brother to Mikhail, Georges, Essa, Hana and Karim Khalil. Also survived by 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Margery Ann Geiser of Baldwin Borough, formerly of Mt. Oliver, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007.
She was the wife of the late Edward Geiser; mother of Peggy (Bob) Schemm of Baltimore, Md.; grandmother of Michael Edward Schemm of Frederick, Md.; great-grandmother of Samantha Schemm; sister of Paul (Laverne) Croke of Fairfax, Va. and the late James (Lilla) Croke of Boston, Mass.; daughter of the late Paul and Margaret Croke.
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Harry Sanders

Harry Sanders, 82, of Whitehall, died Oct. 1, 2007.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Enid; beloved daughter Karen; brother-in-law Richard Bower and family; sister-in-law Jean Bower and family of Columbus, Ohio.
Mr. Sanders served three years in the Navy and worked for 38 years for J.W. Galbraith in maintenance, ending as building manager.
He was owner and manager of S & S Maintenance Company, a member of Baldwin Community United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge 794 for 50 years and a member of South Hills Country Club.
