John Vince, 81, of Baldwin Borough, formerly of Carrick, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007.
He was the husband of Geraldine Vince; father of Lynda (Ken) Piscacik, Catherine Gallagher, Joan (Gary) Morgan and the late Jewel Rose; grandfather of Mollie (Barret) Rea, Candice Gallagher, Victoria and Patrick Morgan; brother of Mary Tirpak and the late William Vince, Anne Kurcsis, Betty Rakoczy and Margaret Rakoczy.
Mr. Vince was a member of SOAR and was a World War II Navy veteran.

Geraldine Thompson

Geraldine Thompson, 80, of Whitehall, formerly of Philadelphia, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007.
She was the wife of 58 years to the late Robert Thompson; mother of Robert, Mary Denise, Gregory, Christopher (Anita), and Mark (Robin); grandmother of Eric, Lanie, Paige and Michael; sister of William, Louis (Marie), Catherine (Jack) Mitchell and the late Richard; sister-in-law of Claire Gatzmer; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mrs. Thompson was a faithful member of St. Gabriel Church for 34 years, serving as a soloist and as a member of the choir.
She expressed her faith through her God-given musical gifts.

William Davidson
Henke Fair Gulf employee of 41 years
William (Dave) Davidson of Peters Township, formerly of Brentwood, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007.
He was the brother of Mildred (Edward) Palmer of South Park and John Davidson of Tampa, Fla.; uncle of Cheryl (Dan) Densmore, David (Sharon) Palmer, Diane Wheeler, Jennifer (Carson) Judge. Also survived by 12 great-nieces and nephews.
Bill was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran and retired from Henke Fair Gulf after 41 years of service.

Josephine Hasenkopf
Born in Brazil
Josephine "Jo" (Jardini) Hasenkopf, 86, of Brentwood, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007.
She was born in Taquaritinga, Brazil on Dec. 15, 1921, the daughter of the late Paschoal "Patsy" and Michelina (Mancini) Jardini. She arrived in Pittsburgh with her mother and brother, John, in October 1927, joining her father who had emigrated from Brazil in 1923.
She married her high school sweetheart, Frank Conway Hasenkopf, in February 1942.
She and Frank had three children, Francis "Skipper" Hasenkopf, who died at age 15 in 1958 in a home accident, Jon Patrick (Karen) Hasenkopf of Brookline and Cathlene (Hasenkopf) Porco of Jefferson Hills.
She is also survived by two brothers, John (Teresa) Jardini of Palm Springs, Fla. and Orlando (Linda Price) Jardini of Brentwood; three grandchildren, Melissa, Joseph and Katy; and four great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by an aunt and many cousins and nephews in San Jose do Rio Preto, Brazil, as well as many relatives in Pennsylvania and Florida.
She was a graduate of Brentwood High School, Class of 1940 and was a charter and active member of the Brentwood High School Alumni Association (BHSAA).
She was devoted to her classmates of the Class of 1940, a group that meets several times each month.

She was daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Urban; sister of Arlene (William) Gera; aunt of Christopher Gera.

William Fritz, 88, of Baldwin, died Dec. 20, 2007.
He was the husband of the late Mary Fritz; father of Billie Tkach; grandfather of Stacy Moser and Geri (Kevin) Bradke.
Also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Fritz was a ham radio operator, W3LHN, and an avid golfer.
