Mary Lou Noonan, 69, of Greensburg RD8, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, at her home. She was born March 12, 1931, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late John W. and Mary Benford Bytheway. She was a member of the Charter Oak United Methodist Church of Greensburg. Mary Lou had worked for many years at Kennametal Inc. in Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Richard B. Bytheway; and a nephew, John Scott Bytheway. She is survived by her loving family, her husband, Donald E. Noonan; her daughter, Cathleen J. Noonan of Greensburg; and her two sons , Patrick T. Noonan and his wife, Jennifer, of Greensburg and Sean E. Noonan and his wife, Colleen, of Baltimore, Md. Friends will be received at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Charter Oak United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. David A. Eversdyke officiating. Constance Hillman Oliver O'Neil, age 83, a long time resident of Sewickley, died on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000. Daughter of the late James F. and Marguerite (Wright) Hillman. Wife of George P. O'Neil and the late John C. Oliver, Jr. mother of John C. Oliver III, Marguerite O. Standish, James H. Oliver, and Sally O. McVeigh. Sister of Marguerite H. Purnell, Audrey H. Hilliard, and Sally H. Childs. Also 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Oliver O'Neil was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Allegheny Country Club, Rolling Rock Club, Edgeworth Club and the Garden Club of Allegheny County. She was a graduate of the Masters School, Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., and continued Art History in Florence, Italy. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Constance Hillman Oliver O'Neil's home on Spanish Track Road, Sewickley. A funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 405 Frederick Ave., Sewickley. Burial will be private. Emily McRae Orr, 95, of Southwest Greensburg, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, in I.H.S. of Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg. She was born Jan. 13, 1905, in Glasgow, Scotland, the daughter of the late James and Emily McRae. She was a retired executive secretary for the former Walworth Valve Co. in South Greensburg. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #281 and the Westmoreland Shrine #18 of Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Orr in 1991. Surviving are her daughter, Margaret Chishko and husband, William, of Southwest Greensburg; two granddaughters, Susanna Valerio and husband, Carl, of Hannastown and Carolyn Frye and husband, Todd, of Latrobe; a nephew, James McRae of Latrobe; and six nieces, Marion Sherrow of Greensburg, Emily Dahlmann of Greensburg, Isabelle Taylor of Greensburg, Margaret Patton of McKeesport, Betty Moyer of Arizona and Eleanor McRae of Pittsburgh. Friends and family will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday Service will be in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Jeffrey P. Paschal officiating. John E. Palkay, 88, died Sept. 3, 2000, in Presbyterian University Hospital, Oakland. Born Aug. 5, 1912, in Etna, he was the son of the late John and Anna Palkay. Mr. Palkay was a retired accountant. Survivors include his wife, Anne Palkay; one daughter, Arlene Palkay; and two brothers , Walter Palka and Edward Palka. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the BOCK FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Shaler. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Ursula Church, Allison Park, with the Rev. Garrett Dorsey officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery, O'Hara.

Edward V. Rozantz, 76, of Ruffsdale RD1, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. Born Aug. 12, 1924, in South Huntingdon Township, he was a son of the late John and Mary Dimits Rozantz. Prior to retirement, he was employed as an electrician by the Westmoreland Regional Hospital. He was a member of the Seven Dolors Roman Catholic Church, Yukon. He was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop O'Connor Council #921 of Connellsville; and the Knights of Columbus Council #3334 of Mt. Pleasant. He was also a member of the Hempfield Hunt Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Emma Harper; and two brothers , William and Emil Rozantz. Surviving are his wife, Ann Marie "Amy" Stana Rozantz; two daughters , Marie Yvonne LeRoy of Indianapolis, Ind., and Annaleta Cunningham and her husband, Mark, of Greensburg; three brothers , John Rozantz of Hempfield Township, Adolph Rozantz of Ruffsdale RD1 and Walter Rozantz of Erie; and a sister, Mary Hravatic of Ruffsdale RD1. Friends will be received at the BEATTY-RICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 136, Madison, Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Seven Dolors R.C. Ernest Charles Scavincky, 78, of North Braddock, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, in Shadyside Nursing Home. He was born Sept. 7, 1921, in Braddock, the son of the late Stephen and Barbara Sinchak Scavincky. He was retired from Bethlehem Steel and Carnegie Mellon University (shuttle bus driver). He was a member of the L.O.O.M. Lodge 57, VFW Post 5008 and the Slovak Club of Braddock. Ernie proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and helped in the construction of the Alaskan Highway. He was the devoted Father of Ernest Jr. of Jefferson Borough, Rita Sima of Murrysville, Susan Welker of Kinsman, Ohio, Joseph of Lincoln Place, Jean Harpley of Greenfield, Joyce Hubbard of Dittmer, Mo., and Joanne Witkowski of Lincoln Place. Beloved brother of Rose Scavincky, Margaret Kotvas, Edward Scavincky and the late Albert and Rudy Scavincky. Also survived by 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the RONALD V. Mary Elizabeth Shriver, 96, of Washington , Pa., on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000. She was born March 7, 1904, in United, a daughter of George Ewing and Maude Lela Jones Danser. Member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church. Twice married, first to the late William Berkley and later to the late William Shriver. Surviving are two sisters , Jessie Blackburn and Fern Obot, both of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a daughter, Emma Marie Berkley; four sisters ; and five brothers . Friends will be received Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at WILLIAM G. Robert P. Stitt, 56, of East McKeesport, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, in McKeesport Hospital. He was born June 8, 1944, in Wilkinsburg, a son of Robert Stitt of North Versailles and the late Ruth Cunningham Stitt. He was a retired employee of East Allegheny School District. In addition to his Father , he is survived by his wife, Elizabeth E. "Sis" Byron Stitt; a son, David Manion; and a daughter, Rachael Manion, both of Irwin; three sisters , Carol Kane of North Versailles, Marlene K. Povanda of North Braddock and Janeann Kauffman of Nevada; two brothers , Norman J. Stitt of Illinois and Christopher Stitt of North Versailles; also aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Frank J. Weisser, 81, of Bethel Park, on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000. Son of the late Frank J. and Elizabeth M. Beloved husband of Stella M. Loving Father of Frank J. Weisser Jr., Debbie Campbell, Judy Spinnenweber, Marilyn Stemp and the late Janet Romanyshyn. Also survived by 11 grandchildren. Brother of Eugene and John. He was well known and respected in the business and banking communities, and as a volunteer and musician for local senior centers. He was also a member of the Elks, the American Legion and the Keystone Chorus of the South Hills. Paul Ziros, 91, of Ligonier, formerly of North Huntingdon, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie Mae Bell and her husband, David. He was born Aug. 30, 1909, in Czechoslovakia, a son of the late Paul and Mary Vargo Ziros. He was a retired employee of Westinghouse Electric Corp., East Pittsburgh. He was a member of Unity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manor; the United Lutheran Society; the National Slovak Society; and the Westmoreland City Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Selchan Ziros. In addition to his daughter and son-in-law with whom he resided, he is survived by a daughter, Helen Dolores Roumillat and her husband, James, of Boerne, Texas ; four grandchildren, Randy Roumillat, Kenneth Roumillat, Jennifer Bell and Stephanie Larson; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Sapp of North Huntingdon; two brothers , Alex Ziros of Ohio and Andy Ziros of California; and nieces and nephews.
