Ruth McClaskey King, 84, of Baldwin Borough died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007 at Asbury Heights in Mt. Lebanon.
She was the wife of the late David King; mother of Barbara Baker Lahr (Phil), Steven (Trudy) King and Susan (Mark) Gleason; grandmother of Susan Carter, Cheryl (Pat) McCabe, Traci (Chris) James, John (Tracy) King, Mark, Matt, Erin and Colin Gleason; great-grandmother of Connor McCabe, Abby and Ryan Carter, Emily, Olivia and Sophia James.
Mrs. King grew up in Bellevue and graduated from Bellevue High School. She met her husband Dave while walking down the beach of Lake Erie. They moved to the South Hills in 1950 and spent the rest of their married lives raising their family in Baldwin Borough.
She was a longtime employee of PNC Bank in the St. Clair Office. She was a member of Baldwin Community United Methodist Church for 57 years, serving as a volunteer for years.

Sally (Bahr) Shelpman, 59, of Baldwin Borough, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007.
She was the beloved mother of Jamie (Tracy) Pape, Ryan (Heidi) Pape, Krysten and Krystle Shelpman; proud grandmother of Amber Hanbury, Haley Hunter, Victoria Brenden and Aiden Pape; daughter of the late Neil and Annamae Bahr; sister of Jim (Colleen) Bahr Sr., Sharon (John) Knetzer and the late Neil "Butch" Bahr Jr.; niece of Dorothy Zeremenko and Jan Duffy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Guy Fazzoni
World War II veteran
Guy Fazzoni, 83, of Pleasant Hills, died Sept. 16, 2007.
He was the husband of Kathleen for 61 years; father of Beverly (Jim) Jurcic, Patty (Ben) Huber and Peggy (Ray) Dennin; grandfather of Matt (Shay), Kayti, Heather (Bill), Brent, Adam, Chad, Brooke, Kelly and Luke; great-grandfather of Laney, Riley and Lydia; brother of Marie Valdiserri, Rose Monchecourt and the late Frank Fazzoni. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fazzoni was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus for 59 years, Lions Club for 46 years where he served as district governor, and the American Legion Post 712.
Mr. Fazzoni served on the West Jefferson Hills School Board and was a founding member of the Thomas Jefferson High School All Sports Boosters and the TJ Band Parents.
Interment is in Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Thomas A'Becket Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.

Albert Kish

Albert Kish, 81, of Whitehall, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007.
He was the husband of Genevieve; father of Ronald and his wife, Suzanne; son of the late Elizabeth and Andrew Kish, brother of Andrew (Helen) Kish. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kish worked for the Pittsburgh Fire Dept. for 32 years and was a member of Bellavista Lodge.

She was the wife of Paul Yekel; mother of Mike (Jeri) Sweeney of Baldwin, Pam (Cory) Murr of West Mifflin and Sherri Orner; grandmother of Josh and David Murr. Also survived by her cousin and friend, Arlene Motus.

Joseph Monaco, 85, of Baldwin Borough, died Thursday, May 8, 2008.
He was the husband of 61 years to Anna (Frank) Monaco; father of Samuel (Jean), Joanne (Dennis) Murdy and Janice (Michael) Kochis; pap of Joseph, Daniel, Nicholas, Chad, Jodi, Kelli, Diane and Lauren; great-grandpap of Andrew; son of the late Samuel and Ella Monaco; brother of Samuel and the late Mary Jane Krupa.
He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Monaco served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant during World War II, was a member of the VFW and worked for the Port Authority for 43 years.

Susan (Lyman) Jones, 61, of Baldwin Borough, died Monday, May 5, 2008.
She was the wife of Jim Jones; mother of Brian Jones; sister of Carole Henderson, Patty Bailey and Margie Catlos. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jones was a 20-year employee of the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was the husband of Kathy (Olnhausen) Kuhta; father of Sean (Lauren) Ganoe; grandfather of Maddie, Will and Grace; son of Steven and Daisy Kuhta; son-in-law of Dolores Olnhausen.

Steve Juarin
Grandfather of nine
Steve Juarin died Wednesday, May 7, 2008.
Born Oct. 27, 1920, he was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Hornyak) Juarin of Hazelwood.
He was preceded in death by siblings Joseph, Olga, Elizabeth, Julia and Mary Ethel.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was employed by Carnegie-Illinois Steel Co., Pittsburgh Railways and H.J. Heinz.
He is survived by his wife Laura (Gutowski); sons David (Jimmie Lou), Michael (Kimberly) and Stephen, and daughters Diane (Joe) Kubiak, Joanne (Steve) Hallock and Nancy (Tony) Lisiecki.
He also is survived by nine grandchildren.
