D-Day veteran
Howard W. Fiedler Jr. 85, of Baldwin Borough., passed away on Fri., June 12, 2009.
He is survived by Mary Pat Millslagle; beloved father of Joseph (Christina), John, (the late) Mary Jo, and Michael (Heather) Fiedler; dear grandfather of Emily, Lindsay, Matthew, and Benjamin; great-grandfather of Christian; brother of Norma Bangert, Albert Fiedler, Claire Wesling, and the late Robert Fiedler.
Mr. Fiedler served in the Army in World War II and took part in the D-Day Invasion of Normandy.
Friends were received at the Cieslak and Tatko Funeral Home, Inc., 2935 Brownsville Road, Brentwood. Mass of Christian Burial was in St. Albert the Great Church.

Jeff A. Reis, 50, of Pleasant Hills, died June 8, 2009.
He was the husband of Carol (Winterhalter) Reis; father of Jason, D.J. and Lauren Reis; son of Wendel Reis and the late Elizabeth McConnell; brother of Wendy (Vic), Ed, Marie (Steve) Genesse, and John (Janice) Reis.

Gregory P. "Snake" Gardner, 59, of Baldwin Borough, died June 6, 2009.
He was the husband of Eileen Gardner; father of Gregory of Scott Township and Matthew of Carrick; brother of Sheila (the late Edward) Henry of Arizona, Timothy (Leslie) of New Jersey and Kevin (Verna) of South Park; and his brother-in-law, Dan Ross. He also is survived by nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gardner was preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine Ross.

Anthony J. "Tony" Tomaszewski, 89, of Baldwin Boro passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2009.
He was the loving husband of 58 years to the late Irene (Madeja); beloved father of Sandy (George) Kalberer and Joan Siebert; brother of Monica Tomaszewski; predeceased by three brothers and two sisters; proud grandfather of Alicia, Aubrey, George, Chris, Nathan, Roy, Timothy and the late Phillip; proud great-grandfather of Phillip Joseph.

John W. Parrish Sr., 81, of Baldwin Borough, died March 31, 2009.
Mr. Parrish served in the U.S. Army/Air Force and was a 24-year retired employee fromJ & L Steel.
He was the husband of 54 years to Mary (Passante); father of John W. Jr. (Mary) and Patricia P. (Hank) Vermeulen; brother of Audrey Wotherspoon and Kate (Paul) Mittermeier of Maryland; grandfather of John W. III and Ryan C. He also is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur L. and Vera E. (Nevergold); and a sister, Roberta Hilinski.

Edward Hancock

Edward C. "Buddy" "Itch" Hancock, 73, of Overbrook, died April 1, 2009.
Mr. Hancock was a Korean War veteran serving in the Marine Corps.
He was a 32-year member of International Union Of Elevator Constructors Local 6, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1810 and the Brentwood High School Alumni Association.
He was the son of the late Edward G. and Dorothy (Morrall) Hancock; husband of Melrose (McLaughlin) Hancock; father of Timothy Hancock and Kimberly (Mark) Kusmira; step-father of Robert Bereksazi, James Bereksazi, Beth Ward, Melanie Zeitler and Bernard Bereksazi Jr.; grandfather of Hannah Hancock, Natalie and Ryan Kusmira; and step-grandfather of Amanda, April, James, Barbara, T.J., Heather, Rachael, Kristy, Greg, Jessica and Bernard.
Friends were received at the Cieslak & Tatko Funeral Home Inc., Brentwood.A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Wendelin Church.
Marie Sites
Choir member, organist
Marie G. (Kruschka) Sites, 93, of Baldwin Borough, died April 2, 2009.
After raising her family of eight, Mrs. Sites returned to school and earned her bachelor's degree at the age of 62. She was active in her church as a CCD and home economics teacher, organist and choir member.
She was the wife of late William M. Sites; mother of Bill (Donna) Sites of North Carolina Richard (Luci) Sites of Texas, Claudia (Joe) Reljac, Barbara Sites, Kathy Cadman (John), Roberta (Don) Reiland, Laura (Bob) Spiegel and the late Michael (Cincy) Sites of Virginia.
She also is survived by 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister of Margaret Kruschka, Rita Seemiller, Dorothy Kostelnik and the late Elizabeth Kruschka.
Friends were received at the Cieslak & Tatko Funeral Home Inc., Brentwood. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Wendelin Church.

Katherine M. (Doerschner) Mueller, 77, of Brentwood, formerly of the South Side, died April 5, 2009.
She was the wife of the late Edmund W. Mueller; mother of Katherine R., Patricia A. and Edmund K.; sister of Kenneth Doerschner, and grandmother of Andrew, Emily, Kristina, Robert and Claire.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.

Stephen Veres
Pleasant Hills resident
Stephen J. Veres, formerly of Pleasant Hills, died April 4, 2009.
Mr. Veres was a tourist and a member of the Card Players Benevolence Society.
He was the brother of Paul, Joe and Mary; and uncle of Shaun, Lauren, Paul, Leslie and Emmy.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc. handled arrangements.

Margaret L. Noschese, 87, of Whitehall, died April 5, 2009.
She was the wife of the late Alphonse J. Noschese; mother of Thomas (Mary) and Donna (Drew) Cetnarowski; grandmother of Gina (Bill) Falcon, Kip (Shannon) Noschese, Brad and Ryan Cetnarowski; great-grandmother of William and DominicFalcon; and sister of the late Angeline Bamonte, Rose DiCaro, Josephine Sabino, Teresa Moore, Gloria Schultz, Tony, Nick, Fredrick, Robert and James Marino.
