Helen Goulding
Mt. Pleasant

Helen Goulding, 76, of Sand Hill Road, Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, in Mt. Pleasant. She was born Sept. 10, 1923, in Mammoth, a daughter of the late Lewis and Viola O'Neil Heide. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Greensburg, and the Mt. Pleasant Senior Citizens. Helen had driven a school bus van for many years, and retired from Mt. Pleasant Senior Citizens Center on March 31, 1999. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Goulding, in 1979; and an infant daughter. Survivors include four sons , William G. of Tampa, Fla., Richard J. and wife, Judy, of Youngstown, Ohio, Ronald A. and wife, Marie, of Mt. Pleasant RD and Donald D. of Mt. Pleasant RD; a brother, Vernon Heide of Stahlstown; five grandsons, Billy, Richie, Ronnie, Donnie and Dustin; and six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Christ Episcopal Church, Greensburg, with the Rev. Larry Knotts officiating. Interment Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. Memorial contributions, if you so desire, may be made to one's choice. Sandra L. Hoffer, funeral director.

Albert J. Hunkele
Pine

Albert J. Hunkele, 78, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, at his residence. Mr. Hunkele was a past president of the AARP of Wexford, Salem Methodist Church branch. He also volunteered at the Crossroads Presbyterian Church Meals on Wheels for a number of years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II in the European Theater, where he was awarded the Purple Heart and Oak Leaf Cluster. Mr. Hunkele was a former employee of Western Electric where he served as a supervisor of installation before retiring in 1980. Survivors include his wife, Roberta Melvin Hunkele; four sons , Al Hunkele and Bill Hunkele, both of Pine, and Greg Hunkele and Wayne Hunkele, both of Richland; a daughter, Jan Hunkele of Pine; three sisters , Marcella Jackovac of Calif., Rosemary Rau of West View, and Patricia Rossulek of Wis.; four brothers , Edward Hunkele of West View, Clyde Hunkele of Youngstown, Ohio, William Hunkele of Allison Park and Francis Hunkele of Ross; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers , Richard Hunkele and Thomas Hunkele. Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the GEORGE A. THOMA FUNERAL HOME, 10418 Perry Highway, McCandless. Christian Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Pine.

Thomas F. Kattera
Mt. Pleasant

Thomas F. Kattera, 75, of Mt. Pleasant, went to his eternal rest Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, at his residence. He was born July 16, 1925, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late James and Anna Slater Kattera. Thomas was a member of the Visitation Roman Catholic Church, and was a student at the former Ramsay High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II in the European Theatre. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Fisher Body in Dravosburg. He was a member of the U.A.W.A. and VFW Post 3368. Tom's memories will be cherished by his two sons , Kenneth M. Kattera and wife, Mitzi, of New Alexandria and Michael A. Kattera and wife, Lisa, of Greensburg; and his grandson, Mark Kattera. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Kuczkowski Kattera on Aug. 11, 1999; four brothers , Robert, Charles, David and Ernest Kattera; and three sisters , Josephine Hauger, Martha Kattera and Jessie. Friends will be received in the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service and interment arrangements will be announced.

Eva Jean (Kuhn) Kerr
Delmont

Eva Jean (Kuhn) Kerr, 75, of Delmont, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, in Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. She was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Brave, Pa., a daughter of the late Samuel H. "Deny" and Sally (Taylor) Kuhn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Samuel R. Kerr; a stepmom, Elizabeth Kuhn; two brothers , Alva Clarence and Samuel Kuhn; and a sister, Virginia Lutes. Eva is survived by a son, Samuel R. Kerr Jr. and wife, Millie, of Trees Mills; a brother, Charles Kuhn and wife, Madeline, of Burgettstown; a sister, Virginia Clayton of Waynesburg; two grandchildren, Stacey Shaffer and Michelle Christner and husband, Jerry; two great-grandchildren, Minni Jones and Cody Shaffer; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family received friends at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC. AT TWIN VALLEY, 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, PA 15626, (724) 468-1177, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Eva's funeral service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Frederick Heitzenroder of the Salem Lutheran Church, Delmont. Private interment will be held Tuesday in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. Kevin P. Altman, supervisor, in charge of arrangements.

Dolores C. Kraemer
Carrick

Dolores C. Kraemer, peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Saturday, September 2, 2000, of Carrick; age 70. Beloved wife of Richard A. Kraemer. mother of Richard (Dorothy), Amy (Michael) Kohler, Michael (Mary), John (Debbie), Margie (Gary) Cerrone, Christopher (Patty), Eric (Lori). Beloved sister of Rita Mae (Sam) Abbott and the late Frederick Singer. Beloved sister-in-law of Rita Singer. Will also be dearly missed by 18 grandchildren. Friends received at the JOHN F. Louise Irene Kivinski Lacaria

Louise Irene (Kivinski) Lacaria, 74, of Murrysville, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, at the Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was born in Denbo, Pa., a daughter of the late Louis and Jennie (Zaremba) Kivinski. Preceded in death by her husband, Nick Joseph Lacaria. mother of the late Dennis Keith Lacaria. Survived by her sister, Helen (Kivinski) Keenan of Delmont; two grandsons, Dennis and Nicholas Lacaria, both residing in North Carolina; also two great-grandsons; and nieces and nephews. Family will be receiving friends on Labor Day, Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JOHN L. BASH FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 15626, (724) 468-8381. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Lubic officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. Ray Clark Lauffer
North Huntingdon

Ray Clark Lauffer, 80, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, at the Baldock Health Care Centre, North Huntingdon. He was born June 12, 1920, in Manor, a son of the late Charles P. and Cornelia E. Yinger Lauffer. He was a graduate of the Norwin High School Class of 1938. He was a retired employee of Westinghouse Electric, Trafford, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Norwin Church of the Nazarene, and had served as financial secretary of the Manor V.F.D. since 1955. He was also a member of the Irwin Male Chorus since 1948 and a member of Shidle Lodge 601 F&AM, Irwin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters , Eleanor Jones and Sara Barras. He is survived by his wife, Margaret M. "Peggy" (Neidigh) Lauffer; three children, Ray M. Lauffer of Fort Myers, Fla., Russell T. Lauffer of Greenville and Laura M. Jackel of Ruffsdale; seven grandchildren; four sisters , Ruth Moffa of Harrison City, Mary Kay Lauffer, Lois Jones and Vivian Horsmon, all of Manor; two brothers , Martin Lauffer of Manor and James Lauffer of New Jersey; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Norwin Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. David Troxler officiating. Interment will follow in Irwin Union Cemetery. Masonic services will be held Monday at 8 p.m. and Manor V.F.D. service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m., both in the funeral home.

Frances Marie Liscinsky, 80, of Wilmerding, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000. Wife of the late John F. "Chic." mother of Kathy Swisshelm of Harrison City, Frances Marseglia of Scotia, N.Y., Joan Imhof of Novi, Mich., and Charles Liscinsky of Wilkinsburg. Also seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the JAMES F. FILIA FUNERAL HOME, 354 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 1 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Jude the Apostle Church.

Martin J. Lydon, of the North Side, on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2000. Son of the late Martin J. and Penelope Lydon. Brother of Helen Collins. He was predeceased by five brothers and sisters . Also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Marty was a U.S. Army E-7, having served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Visitation Tuesday 1-5 p.m. at the STEPHEN M. BRADY FUNERAL HOME, 920 Cedar Ave., Pittsburgh, with funeral blessing Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery Wednesday at 3 p.m.

She is survived by her husband John P.; mother of Larry Fairtrace Sr. of North Huntingdon, Randy Fairtrace of Butler, Jeffrey Fairtrace of North Huntingdon, and the late Patricia Fairtrace; two grandchildren; sister of Elizabeth Fairtrace, and William Allen. Friends received 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at GENE H. CORL INC. FUNERAL CENTER OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike, where services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Eric D. Ash Sr. officiating. Interment in Plum Creek Cemetery, Plum Boro.

Anna Matalic, of Crafton, peacefully, in her 101st year, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2000. Beloved sister of Carolyn Pendleton and the late Christine Garrison, Mary Weible, Susan, Catherine, Frank, George and Joseph Matalic. Sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. ONLY (no evening viewing) at the SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 165 Noble Ave., Crafton.
