Anna B. Brubaker, age 100, of Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg, PA died Monday, December 17, 2001, at the village.
She was born November 11, 1911 in Lititz, PA the daughter of the late Herman T. and Alice K. Balmer Fry.
She was the widow of the late Mervin H. Brubaker.
She was a homemaker and member of the Messiah Village Brethren in Christ Church, Mechanicsburg. She also was a member of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union.
She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at 2:00 PM in her church. A viewing will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in the Mechanicsburg Cemetery.

Eleanor V. (Lanning) DeMers, age 85, of 999 West Harrisburg Pike, Middletown, PA and formerly of Philadelphia, PA died Tuesday evening, December 11, 2001 at the Middletown Home.
She was born Friday, July 21, 1916 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Horace & Ethel Chapman Lenning.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister as well as a retired Secretary and Day Care Worker. She was also a member of Sanctuary United Methodist Church, North Wales, PA.
She was the widow of the late George W. DeMers. She was predeceased by her sons: George W. DeMers, Jr. and Richard L. DeMers. She is survived by her grandsons: George, Christopher and James DeMers, her two great-grandsons and her sister: Annetta Smyth, of Philadelphia.
Graveside Services will be held Friday, 12:00 PM, December 14, 2001 at the Lawn View Cemetery, Rockledge, PA with the Reverend Harold E. Burkett officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. She was the widow of the late Jacob Detter. She was a retired seamstress. She was born January 14, 1900 in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late John and Annie Gerber Anthony. James E. Dorsey, Sr., age 76, of 100 Dorsey Lane, Dillsburg, PA died Saturday, 2:40 PM, December 1, 2001 at his home.
He was born Sunday, April 5, 1925 in Bertie Township, Welland County, Ontario, Canada, the son of the late Clyde J. & Donna M. Orndorff Dorsey.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother as well as a retied Auto Mechanic for Warrington Motors, of Rossville and an US Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Dillsburg and a former member of the Mechanicsburg Club.
He was the widower of the late Alma M. Dorsey who pass away February 28, 2001. He is survived by his sons: James E. Dorsey, Jr., of Middletown; Harold E. Dorsey, of Franklintown; Kenneth E. & John L. Dorsey, both of Dillsburg and Jacob A. Dorsey, of Maryland. His daughters: Joyce E. Eagle, Karen L. Worden, Kay I. Zeiders and Janet M. Dorsey, all of Dillsburg. His brothers: Bacil C. Dorsey, of Waco, TX; Ralph Dorsey, of Fostoria, OH and Dennis G. Dorsey, of Shiremanstown, PA. His sisters: Audrey M. McFarland, of Winchester, VA and Ruby O. Nelson, of Dillsburg along with 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 AM, December 4, 2001, at the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, Pa with the Reverends David L. Smith and Peter Keubler officiating. Burial will be in Filey's Cemetery, Monaghan Township, York County, Pennsylvania. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service from 10-11 am at the funeral home.

Lester R. Elicker, age 87, of Range End Road, Dillsburg, PA died Friday, October 19, 2001 at his home.
He was the widower of the late Violet Kline Elicker, who died in 1986.
He was born January 1, 1914 in Franklin Twp., York Co., PA the last of 13 children of the late Lewis and Annie Fanus Elicker.
He began working during the summer of his 14 year as a waterboy on the State Street Bridge project in Harrisburg, PA and continued in the construction field for another 67 years. During this time he had been superintendent on highway, school and sewer projects for Reisinger Brothers in Carlisle, PA, an inspector for Hartman Engineering Associates in Camp Hill, PA as well as a tax collector in Franklin Twp., York Co., PA.
He is survived by three daughter: Saundra L. Propst and Pamela J. Snyder, both of Dillsburg, PA and Debra K. Dively, Lewisberry, PA. One sister, Ethel Reasey, Dillsburg, Pa. 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2001 at 11:00 AM in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St. Dillsburg, PA with the Revs. Robert Klinger and Steve Boyer officiating. Burial will be in the Dillsburg Cemetery A visitation will be held Monday from 10-11 AMat the funeral home.

She was born May 20, 1920 in Franklintown, PA the daughter of the late Merl B. and Bertha Gibbons Hess.
She was retired having worked at the Shenadoah Floral Co., Mechanicsburg, PA; Gettysburg Shoe Factory; and Bakers Restaurant, Dillsburg, PA. She also had tended a stand at the former Farmers Hill Market, Harrisburg, PA. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Franklintown, PA. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and loved animals and walking.
She is survived by one son, Charles E. Erford, Dillsburg, PA with whom she lived. One daughter, Shirley A. Wilt, Dillsburg, PA. Five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday, November 19, 2001 at 10:00 AM in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St. Dillsburg, Pa with the Rev. Sandra Mache officiating. Burial will be in the Dillsburg Cemetery. A viewing will be held Sunday, November 18, 2001 from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.

Fannie Mae Slagle, age 82, of Dillsburg, PA died Tuesday evening at the Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, WV.
She was born April 5, 1919 in New Oxford, PA the daughter of the late Samuel L. and Annie Grove Wolf.
She was the widow of the late Theron A. Slagle.
She was a homemaker and member of the Arnolds United Methodist Church, Dillsburg, PA and its United Methodist Womans Group.
She is survived by one son, Robert L. Slagle, of Mechanicsburg, PA. Three daughters: Carolyn J. Weder, Donna M. Sherman, and Deborah A. Cardwell, all of Dillsburg, PA. She has 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2001 at 1:00 PM in her church, 412 Mountain Rd. Dillsburg, PA with the Rev. Dr. Newton Fritchely officiating. Entombment will be in the Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill, PA. A viewing will be held Saturday from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM at the church.

Kenneth A. Yingling

Kenneth A. Yingling, 91, of Box 435, Tyrone RD2, died Tuesday morning, February 1, 2005 at Beverly Healthcare-Hillview, Altoona.
He was born February 8, 1913 in Burnside, Clearfield County, a son of the late E. Blaine and Alice (Beck) Yingling. He was twice married, first to Edith A. Smith on June 21, 1941 in Bellwood, she died November 18, 1982. He then married Mary E. Houston on May 19, 1986 in Altoona, she died June 30, 2000.
Mr. Yingling is survived by two sisters: Wilda Cherry of Tyrone and Ann Dixon of Monroe Falls, OH and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother Eugene and sisters, Effie Campbell, Leda Eisenhower and Grace Turnbaugh.
He retired in 1973 as a machinist at Pennsylvania Railroad, Altoona. Mr. Yingling was a former member of the Bellwood F.O.P. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and vegetable gardening.
There will be no public viewing or visitation.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
