CRYSTAL A. RAVENSCRAFT
WELLERSBURG, Pa. - Crystal Ann Ravenscraft, 13, of Wellersburg, died Monday, Aug. 11, 1997, at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Born Sept. 10, 1983, in Meyersdale, she was the daughter of James W. Ravenscraft, Meyersdale, and Anna M. (Sturtz) Ravenscraft, with whom she resided.
Crystal had completed the seventh grade at Meyersdale Area High School.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, Keith D. Sturtz, at home; maternal grandparents, Ellsworth and Effie Sturtz, Wellersburg; paternal grandfather, James A. Ravenscraft, Meyersdale; eight uncles; and six aunts.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to services on Friday.
Services will be conducted at the Zion Lutheran and Reformed Church, Wellersburg, on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George R. Loar officiating.
Interment will be in the Wellersburg cemetery.

JOAN RICE
BEDFORD, Pa. - Joan Rice, 72, of RD 3 Box 280, Bedford, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1997 at her home.
Born June 10, 1924 in Sistersville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harry O. Morris and the late Laura Ann (Thorne) Morris. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, two brothers, and two sisters.
Mrs. Rice was a home maker. She was a graduate of the Fort Hill High School class of 1942. She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church. A member of the BedE ford Road Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for 51 years, she was president for six years.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Lester Rice of Bedford; one son, Leslee ``Hank" Rice and wife Beth of Bedford; one daughter, Diane Schade and husband Richard, Bedford; one sister, Mary Smith, Cumberland; and one brother, George M. Morris, Cumberland; three granddaughters, Heather Schade, Bedford, Michelle Loar, Cumberland, and Brandi Rice, Bedford; one great-grandson, Cody Bohn, Bedford; one great-granddaughter, Laura Loar, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward Dickel officiating.
Interment will be in the Zion Memorial Park.
JAMES E. ROBY
MEYERSDALE, Pa. - James E. Roby, 82, of Scotdale, formerly of Meyersdale, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 1997, at the VA Medical Center, Aspinwall.
Born Dec. 25, 1914, in Garrett, he as a son of the late William and Zella (Kimmel) Roby. He also was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Gray) Roby.
Mr. Roby was a retired B&O; Railroad trainman.
Surviving are one son, Robert Roby; and one daughter, Sharon Seifert, both of Cumberland, Md.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Thelma Romigh, Beaver, Mary Ellen Romesburgh, Pittsburgh, and Janet Tinder, Massillon, Ohio.
Friends will be received at the Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Larry Stewart officiating.
Interment is in Union cemetery, Meyersdale.
TREVOR B. ROWLEY
WELLERSBURG, Pa. - Trevor Bruce Rowley, stillborn infant son of Darrell T. Rowley and Lisa L. Kagarise-Rowley, Wellersburg, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Surviving in addition to his parents are maternal grandparents, Robert B. and Bette A. Kagarise, Osterburg; paternal grandparents, William T. and Althea C. Rowley, Wellersburg; paternal great-grandmother, Hazel Kimmel, Somerset; three uncles, Rodney Kagarise and fiance Denise Bienacker, Leesburg, Va., Todd Kagarise, Leesburg, and Eric Rowley and wife Jill, Finzel, Md.; and two cousins, Erica and Matthew Rowley, Finzel.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Michael Van Dyke officiating.
Interment will be in Cook cemetery near Wellersburg.
The Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, is in charge of the arrangements.
JEREMY S. RUGG
MARKLEYSBURG, Pa. - Jeremy Scott "Bo" Rugg, 20, of Markleysburg, died Sunday, October 5, 1997 as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born Nov. 17, 1976 in Meyersdale, Pa., and was the son of Joy Wilson Rugg Tucker, Hattiesburg, Miss., and the late James S. Rugg, who died in 1988.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Janet Rugg.
Surviving are his maternal grandparents, William and Shirley Wilson of Markleysburg, with whom he made his home; two brothers, Josh Rugg and Joel Rugg; and one sister, Janelle Rugg, all of Hattiesburg.
Jeremy was a member of the Markleysburg Gospel Center Church. He was employed by Green Acres Contracting and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #491.
"Bo" was an avid softball and sports enthusiast. He graduated from Uniontown Area High School in 1995.
Friends will be received in Donald R. Crawford Funeral Home, Markleysburg, on Tuesday from 7 to 9, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and in the Gospel Center Church Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. with the Rev. Martin Stewart officiating.
Interment will follow in Thomas cemetery.

BERTHA E. ROBINETTE
WELLERSBURG, Pa. - Bertha Ellen Robinette, 91, of Wellersburg, went with the Lord Wednesday, July 9, 1997, at the home of her daughter, Lois Cessna, R.D. 4, Meyersdale.
Born April 14, 1906, at Wellersburg, she was a daughter of the late William and Ida (Moser) Long. She also was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Charles O. Robinette, on March 28, 1993; a son, Ronald Robinette; a sister; and a brother.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Robinette and wife Jessie, Wellersburg, and Larry Robinette and wife Phyllis, Shelby, Ohio; two daughters, Alice Dietz and husband Calvin, Shelby, Ohio, and Lois Cessna and husband Robert, R.D. 4, Meyersdale; nine grandchildren, Neil Robinette, Fayetteville, N.C., Gary Robinette, Salisbury, Calvin Dietz II, Michael Robinette, DeAnn Bammerlin and Joy Baker, all of Shelby, Ohio, Sandra Wilson, Costa Mesa, Calif., Brenda Bowden, Rocky Mount, N.C., and Julie Deist, R.D. 4, Meyersdale; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sisters, Hattie Crissey, Somerset, Alva Weimer, Cumberland, Md., Pearl Robinette, Cumberland, and Nina Folk, Bowman's Addition, LaVale.
Mrs. Robinette was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing and knitting. She was an active member her entire life of Mount Harmony United Methodist Church, Wellersburg, and was active in the Somerset County Senior Citizens.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and at the church for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Services will be conducted at Mount Harmony United Methodist Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Pastor David A. Klink officiating.
Interment will be in the Cook cemetery near Wellersburg.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
DAVID ROBERTSON, SR.
GENEVA, Ohio - David M. Robertson, Sr., 85, of Lake Road East, Geneva, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 1997, at his residence.
He was born on May 26, 1912, in Lake Gordon, Pa., the son of Harry E. and Lottie M. (Hendrickson) Robertson.
He came to Geneva in 1949 from Cumberland and resided with his daughter, LaDonna, and son-in-law, Richard, also in Geneva since 1994.
Mr. Robertson was a Fireman in Bowman's Addition, Cumberland, and with the Saybrook Fire Department in 1949 and 1950. He worked as a Millwright with the Carpenters' Local 1871 for 25 years.
On March 2, 1936, he married
Florence (Ike) Lepley in Alexandria, Va.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, and he enjoyed traveling whenever possible. He attended the Free Methodist Church of Ashtabula, Ohio, and was a member of the National Carpenters Union. His military service was with the First Maryland Infantry National Guard from 1927 through 1936.
Surviving are sons David M. Robertson, Jr., and Fred L. Robertson, both of Mansfield, Ohio; a daughter, LaDonna M. and son-in-law, Richard D. Nichols, Geneva; a brother, Vernon R. Robertson, Geneva; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to both parents he also was preceded in death by his wife, Florence, who died July 29, 1994; brothers, H. McCorkle, Paul, Harold, Melvin, Ralph, and Emery; sister Leona, and son Ronald; and grand-daughter Ronda Robertson.
Family will receive friends at the Burton Funeral Home, Greenlawn Chapel, 3137 East Center Street (Route 20), North Kingsville, Ohio, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William O. Conaway of the Free Methodist Church of Conneaut officiating.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
