ARTHUR C. MEYERS
MARKLEYSBURG, Pa. - Arthur C. Meyers, 85, of R.D. 1, Markleysburg died Friday, Oct. 10, 1997 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. following a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 16, 1912 at Glady, W.Va. a son of the late Orville M. and Martha Alice Chisholm Myers, Friendsville.
Mr. Meyers was a member of the Markleysburg Union Church and an associate member of the Glade Farms United Chapel, Bruceton Mills, W.Va. He was a member of the Carpenters of Western Pennsylvania Local 1010, Pittsburgh; a charter member of the Markleysburg-Henry Clay Volunteer Fire Department; a charter member of the Markleysburg Grange #1947; and a member of the Fayette County Firemen's Association #418.
In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by an infant daughter; three brothers, Roy M. Myers, Fred W. Myers, Bruce A. Myers; and one sister, Pearl M. Cuppett.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Pauline Cuppett Meyers; a daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Owen Frantz, Friendsville; one granddaughter, Sherri Frantz, Friendsville; a sister, Mary L. Glover, Markleysburg; sisters-in-law, Fern E. Myers, Markleysburg and Pansy Myers, Frostburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Donald R. Crawford Funeral Home, Markleysburg on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Monday in the Markleysburg Union Church from noon till 1 p.m., the hour of the service. The Rev. William Tribe and the Rev. Nevin Umbel will officiate. Interment will follow in Addison cemetery, Addison, Pa.
Markleysburg-Henry Clay Volunteer Fire Department will hold services Sunday at 8 p.m.

MELVIN MONROE NAVE
BEDFORD, Pa. - Melvin Monroe Nave, 86, of Lake Gordon Road, Bedford, died March 5, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born June 20, 1910 in Bedford Valley, Pa., he was the son of the late Hosea S. Nave and the late Minerva E. (Boor) Nave. He also was predeceased by a brother, Elwood Nave, in 1928.
Mr. Nave was retired from the Queen City Brewery, Cumberland. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of First United Methodist Church, and an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Ola Mae (Ford) Nave; a sister, Rita Athey and husband, Roy, Old Mt. Pleasant Road, Cumberland, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert L. Nair officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Gary Turner, Donald Wilhelm, Ray Nixon, Arthur Ford, Manuel Sanchez and Timothy Geary.
MARJORIE A. OLCOTT
MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Marjorie A. Olcott, 70, of Millersville, formerly of Cumberland, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Marcus R. and Margaret E. Zink Reinhard.
She was married
to Robert S. Olcott for 47 years on April 29.
Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Mark S., husband of Susan Olcott, Ephrata, Pa., Matthew S., husband of Nancy Olcott, Lancaster, and John Andrew, husband of Joy Olcott of Millersville; one daughter, Cynthia A., wife of William Bruckman, Lexington, Mass.; six grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy V. Barclay, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 441 North George Street, Millersville, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Homala as Celebrant.
Final commendation and farewell will be from the St. Joseph's New Catholic cemetery.

DOLLY F. OLIVER
BEDFORD, Pa. - Dolly F. Oliver, 89, of RD 6, Bedford, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997, at Pennknoll Village.
Born Oct. 17, 1907, in Cumberland Valley, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Lucy Jane (Hook) Rose. She also was preceded in death by her husband whom she married
on June 19, 1929, Lewis C. "Buss" Oliver, on Oct. 30, 1996; one granddaughter; six brothers, Sherman, Arthur, Vernon, Grant, William, and Oscar Rose; and three sisters, Grace Hite, Veda Imes, and Leona Hoy.
Mrs. Oliver was a member of the Bortz Lutheran Church, Bedford, and was employed for 12 years by the former Bedford Steam Laundry. She was an avid bowler.
Surviving are the following children: Glenn S. Deremer and wife Norma (Street), RD 3, Bedford; Dorothy Mazak and husband Andrew, Hollidaysburg; Burnadean Corley, wife of the late Robert J. Corley, Bedford; Harry H. Oliver and wife Dolores (Kramer), Jeffersonville, Ind.; Harriet Grove, wife of the late Victor Grove, Cumberland, Md.; and Lewis J. Oliver Jr. and wife Lana (Leydig), Buffalo Mills; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, R. Milton Rose and wife Mable (Frantz), Bedford.
Friends will be received at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, South Juliana Street, Bedford, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church on Friday one hour prior to the services.
Services will be held at the Bortz Lutheran Church on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Wright officiating.
Interment will be in Centerville Fellowship cemetery.
READA M. PRINTY
HYNDMAN, Pa. - Reada Marie Printy, 76, of R.D. 1, Hyndman, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997 at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Sept. 23, 1921 in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Emma F. (Day) Burley. She also was preceded in death by a son, Robert ``Sonny" Printy; a daughter, Emma Printy; and a brother, Benjamin Miller.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Robert A. Printy; two daughters, Darlene M. Faulkner and husband Neil, and Betty C. Klahre; two grandchildren, Cathy M. Reed and husband Larry, and John R. Klahre and fiance Joey Shroyer; and two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Katelynn Reed, all of R.D. 1, Hyndman. Also surviving are a brother, John Miller, Pittsburgh; and two sisters, Ruth Minnick, Corriganville, and Sara Kirchner, Nanty Glo.
Mrs. Printy retired with 17 years of employment in the Coning Department at the Amcelle Plant, Celanese Corporation of America, in Cumberland.
She was a member of the Ellerslie United Methodist Church where she belonged to the United Methodist Women. She also was a member of the Cumberland Chapter #56, Order of the Eastern Star, the Hyndman Senior Citizens, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Company.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday for one hour prior to the service.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Rebecca J. Vardiman officiating. Interment will be in Porter cemetery near Ellerslie.
Order of the Eastern Star services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. by Chapter #56.
W. EARL PRICE
BEDFORD, Pa. - W. Earl Price, 87, of R.D. 6, Bedford, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997, at the Veterans Home in Hollidaysburg.
Born Dec. 13, 1909, in Little Orleans, Md., he was a son of the late Walter A. and Margaret G. (Fletcher) Price. He also was preceded in death by one grandson; four brothers, Paul, Stanley, Frank, and Bruce Price; and three sisters, Pearl Price, Ali Farkas, and Ruth Hite.
Mr. Price was affiliated with the Colonial Hills Baptist Church, was a life member of the Bedford VFW Post 7527, the Everett American Legion, and was a retired teamster. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific theater. He was a retired truck driver for Warner-Continental.
Surviving are his wife, Helen W. (Frost) Price, and the following children, Charles E. Price and wife Delores (Guyton), Norwalk, Ohio, Wilma Mortimore and husband Jim, R.D. 6, Bedford, Lewis Price and wife Martha (Gayhafer), Louisville, Ky., Carole J. Mowry and husband John E., of R.D. 6, Bedford, and M. Dale Price, Bedford; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, W. Asbury Price and wife Betty (Smith), Cumberland; and three sisters, Marie Schaeffer and husband Gerald, Bedford, Jeannette Rhodes and husband Joe, Everett, and Sara Weimer and husband Bob, Jacksonville, Fla.
Friends will be received at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Bedford, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 1997, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Douglas Pilot officiating.
Interment will be in Bedford County Memorial Park with full military honors accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
