C. RICHARD MAIN
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - C. Richard Main, age 82, of 2670 St. Paul St., Chambersburg, died Dec. 11, 1998.
Mr. Main was a former resident of the Cumberland area. While in the Cumberland area he was a Right of Way Agent with the Maryland State Highway Administration. He also served as organist at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cumberland.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Main; two sons, Richard Edward Main, Vienna, Va., and David L. Main, Laurel, Md.
Services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at 11 a.m. from the Trinity Lutheran Church, 15 Randolph Ave., Hagerstown, Md.
Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
MARKLE E. MAUST
MEYERSDALE, Pa. - Markle E. Maust, 87, of 750 St. Paul Road, Meyersdale, died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at the Meyersdale Manor Nursing Home.
Born Sept. 30, 1910, in Summit Township, he was a son of the late Howard and Salome (Engle) Maust.
Mr. Maust was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Salisbury Lions Club; VFW; and St. Paul Wilhelm United Church of Christ, where he served as Sunday School superintendent, elder and deacon. He furnished transportation for the Salisbury-Elk Lick School District for many years, and operated a service station in the Village of St. Paul. He also attended McSweeney's Trade School in Detroit.
Surviving are his wife, Harriet Ruth (Hay) Maust; three sisters, Frances Stuck, Berlin, Ruth Foor, Everett, and Julia Hay, Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the St. Paul Wilhelm United Church of Christ on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bruce Ashlock officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Paul cemetery.
Military graveside rites will be accorded by the Salisbury area veterans service organizations.

EVELYN MAZZARELLA
OCALA, Fla. - Evelyn Raley Mazzarella, 88, a former Washington resident who retired in 1967 as a supervisor in the Naval Purchasing Office of the Department of the Navy, died of a pulmonary disorder on Aug. 10, 1998, at a rehabilitation facility in Ocala.
Mrs. Mazzarella, who was born in Bedford County, Pa., and later moved to Washington, graduated from the old Western High School. She worked as a retail clerk and later as a model for Garfinckel's department store in Washington during the late 1920s and early 1930s.
She then began a civil service career and worked about 25 years for the Navy Department.
She was active in the Society of Business and Professional Women in Washington, past president of a chapter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Her first husband, Ernest Ray Barnes, died in 1952, and her second husband, Charles E. Biggs, died in 1972.
Survivors include her husband, Anthony Mazzarella of Ocala; four children from her first marriage, Patricia Martin, Garrett Park, Md., Nancy Johnson, Vienna, Va., Beverly Blum, Ocean City, Md., and Donald Ray Barnes, Albuquerque, N.M.; two stepdaughters, Betty Nearey, Middletown, Md., and Katherine Schneider, Berlin, Md.; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
CAROL J. MCKENZIE
SALISBURY, Pa. - Carol Jean McKenzie, 60, of 2387 Greenville Road, Salisbury, died Tuesday, July 21, 1998, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.
Born July 9, 1938, in Meyersdale, she was a daughter of Margaret (Orner) Baer, of Salisbury; and the late Ralph Baer.
Mrs. McKenzie was a member of the Greenville Lutheran Church and was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Bernard F. McKenzie; three sons, Gary F., Richard Lee and Barry Wayne McKenzie, all of Salisbury; three brothers, Carl Baer and Ralph Baer Jr., both of Frostburg, Md., and Robert Baer, Elkins, W.Va.; two sisters, Anna Mae Hochard, Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Linda Arnold, Salisbury; and five grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md., on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Greenville Lutheran Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.
Interment will be in the Greenville cemetery.
ERVIN W. MCKENZIE
BUFFALO MILLS, Pa. - Ervin William McKenzie, 69, of 2779 Madley Hollow Road, Buffalo Mills, died Oct. 22, 1998, at his residence.
Born at Montell, Md., on Aug. 22, 1929, he was a son of the late Leonard Clarence McKenzie and Edna Elizabeth (Smith) McKenzie. Also preceding him in death were three brothers and three sisters.
He was a member of Lonaconing Methodist Church, Lonaconing, Md. He was a retired tractor trailer driver after 25 years. Mr. McKenzie was a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Twila J. (Hoover) McKenzie, Buffalo Mills; one son, Mike McKenzie, Glen Burnie, Md.; one daughter, Patricia Ann Valentine, Sunnyside, Md.; sisters Alice Albright and husband, Carl, Frostburg, Md., Anna Mae Brode, Somerset, Mary McKenzie, Cresaptown, Md., Mildred Middleton, Clinton Township, Mich.; one brother, Eugene McKenzie and wife, Rose, Millersville, Md.; four grandchildren; and 34 nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday from noon to 2 p.m. at Bible Gospel Church, Hyndman. Services will be held at the church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Fay Leydig officiating.
Interment will be in the Madley cemetery, Madley.

MARION Y. MCKENZIE
MEYERSDALE, Pa. - Marion Y. McKenzie, 79, of Meyersdale, formerly a resident of Rockville, Md., for 50 years, died Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at Meyersdale Manor.
She was born June 12, 1918, in Frostburg, Md., a daughter of the late Reginald and Kathryn (Ort) Yates.
She is survived by her husband, Harry B. McKenzie; a son, Bruce Y. McKenzie, McLean, Md.; a daughter, Kathryn Ann McKenzie, Frederick, Md.; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. McKenzie was a 1939 graduate of Frostburg State University. She was a school teacher in Allegany and Montgomery counties in Maryland. She was a member of the Rockville Presbyterian Church.
Friends will be received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Albert G. Valentine officiating.
Interment will be in the Union cemetery, Meyersdale.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Meyersdale Public Library.
RENA E. MCKENZIE
SALISBURY, Pa. - Rena E. (Minnick) Brant McKenzie, 79, of 9586 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, died Thursday, March 5, 1998, at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born Sept. 18, 1918, in Frostburg, she was a daughter of the late Bert and Edna (Layman) Minnick. She also was preceded in death by two husbands, Chester Brant and Cobey McKenzie.
Mrs. McKenzie was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Grantsville, Md.
Surviving are five sons, William Brant, Silver Spring, Md., Chester Brant, College Park, Md., Ervin Brant, Lonaconing, Md., Robert Brant, Riverdale, Md., and John Brant, Zihlman, Md.; four daughters, Evelyn Resh and Darlene Bone, both of Frostburg, Juanita Tuck, Salisbury, Pa., and Cheryl Garvey, Beltsville, Md.; 28 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Grantsville, on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. William Moody officiating.
Interment will be in St. Ann's cemetery.
