GERALDINE M. LEHMAN
BUFFALO MILLS, Pa. - Geraldine Marie (Miller) Lehman, 83, of RD 1, Buffalo Mills, died Wednesday, June 10, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born Dec. 16, 1914, in Wilmore, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Jennie J. (Brindle) Miller. She also was preceded in death by her brother, John H. Miller, in January 1998.
On July 25, 1936, she married
John Sherman Lehman. He survives along with three sons, Robert S., married
to Carolyn Sembower, and Gary L., married
to Willa Leydig, all of RD 1, Buffalo Mills, and Vohn R., married
to Barbara Sisk, RD 1, Hyndman; two daughters, J. Carolyn of Altoona and Janet M. Willis, married
to Frederic, of RD 1, Buffalo Mills; two brothers, Robert F. Miller of RD 1, Buffalo Mills, and Donald Corley of Everett; one sister, Betty J. Diehl of RD 1, Stoystown; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lehman was a graduate of Hyndman High School, and was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, RD 1, Buffalo Mills, where she played the organ and sang in the choir. She belonged to the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Hyndman Senior Citizens. She also served as a regular RSVP volunteer.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at Christ Lutheran Church, RD 1, Buffalo Mills, on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David L. Wright officiating.
Interment will be in the Lybarger cemetery, RD 1, Buffalo Mills.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Building Fund or Community Outreach Fund of Christ Lutheran Church, RD 1, Buffalo Mills, PA 15534.
BETTY CHERLENE LEWIS
HYNDMAN, Pa. - Betty Cherlene Lewis, 65, of Ridge Road, R.D. 1, Hyndman, died Monday, May 18, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born Sept. 18, 1932, at Comps Corner, Southampton Township, Somerset County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Lydia Gertrude (Lepley) Emerick. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Emerick.
She married
Charles A. Lewis on May 7, 1953, in Cumberland. He survives, along with a son, Ricky C. Lewis, Frederick, Md.; two daughters, Linda C. Miller, and husband, John, R.D. 1, Hyndman, and Veinna L. Broadwater, and husband, Paul, Westernport, Md.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Alverda Shroyer and Gladys Leydig, both of Hyndman, and Dolly Emerick, Cumberland.
Mrs. Lewis attended the Bible Gospel Church near Hyndman.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Services will be conducted at the Bible Gospel Church, Hyndman, on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fay E. Leydig officiating.
Interment will be in Comps cemetery.
WILBUR B. LICHLITER
SALISBURY, Pa. - Wilbur B. "Wib" Lichliter, 94, of 168 Ord St., Salisbury, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at the Meyersdale Medical Center.
Born July 27, 1903, in Salisbury, he was a son of the late Christopher and Minnie (Enos) Lichliter. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth (Lichty) Lichliter.
Mr. Lichliter is survived by his wife, Nellie (Fay) Lichliter; a stepson, Stephen Monn, Claremont, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Fay Gnagey, Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Heil Lichliter, Grantham; two step-grandchildren, Gretchen Fitzpatrick and Erin Haegel; a step-grandson, Liam Fitzpatrick; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, where he was elder emeritus, and former treasurer and choir member for 35 years. He had been employed as an insurance agent with Mutual of New York for 66 years.
Mr. Lichliter was a charter member of the Salisbury Lions Club and member of Salisbury Fire Department; Meyersdale Lodge 548 F & AM; Uniontown Commandry; Harrisburg Consistory Scottish Rite; and Jaffa Shrine Temple, Altoona.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at St. John's United Church of Christ on Saturday at noon with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating.
Interment will be in the Salisbury cemetery.

CLARA E. LICHTY
MEYERSDALE, Pa. - Clara E. Lichty, 71, of Meyersdale, died Sunday, May 31, 1998, at her home.
Born Nov. 17, 1926, in Elk Lick Township, she was a daughter of the late Fay O. and Ressie A. (Rembold) Livengood. She also was preceded in death by a sister, E. Marie Llewellyn; and an infant brother and sister.
Surviving are her husband, Reid E. Lichty, whom she married
on Dec. 24, 1944; two children, Fred E. Lichty and wife Sue (Bowman), and Roger P. Lichty, all of Meyersdale; grandchildren, Kathy Paul and husband Terry, Patrick E. Lichty and wife Mary Ann (Evans), Joshua P. Lichty, Tracy M. Lichty and Corey I. Lichty, all of Meyersdale; two brothers, Guy Livengood and wife Louise (Otto), Springs, and George "Clayton" Livengood and wife Jean (Yommer), Cumberland, Md.; and two sisters, Pearl Lantz and husband Clarence, Cottage Grove, Tenn.; and Dorothy Lenhart and husband Belmont, Boynton.
Mrs. Lichty was a member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren.
Friends will be received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Nalley officiating.
Interment will be in the Union cemetery, Meyersdale.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Meyersdale Ambulance Association or the "InTouch" Hospice of Somerset.
DAVID L. LICHTY
SALISBURY, Pa. - David Lynn Lichty, 18, of 144 Somerset St., Salisbury, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 1998, as a result of an auto accident on St. Paul Road in Elk Lick Township.
Born Dec. 7, 1979, in Meyersdale, he was the son of Richard Lynn and Sandra Kay (Beals) Lichty, with whom he resided.
Mr. Lichty was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ira K. and Anna Pauline (Vought) Lichty. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and was employed as a furniture assembler at Maple Mountain Industries, Meyersdale. A 1998 graduate of Salisbury-Elk Lick High School, he was on the soccer team for three years, basketball team for four years, ski club for three years and was secretary of the F.F.A.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his sister, Jessica Kay Lichty, at home; and his maternal grandparents, Ward E. and Betty J. (Kinsinger) Beals Sr., Meyersdale.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md., on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating.
Interment will be in Salisbury cemetery.

JAMES R. "SLIM" LLEWELLYN
BEDFORD, Pa. - James R. "Slim" Llewellyn, 70, of Bedford Valley, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born Sept. 9, 1927, in National, Md., he was the son of the late Wesley E. and Cynthia (Korns) Llewellyn. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Edward Llewellyn.
Mr. Llewellyn was a retired dairy farmer and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a U.S. veteran of the Army Security Agency.
Surviving are four sisters, Evelyn Muhr, Baltimore, Nellie Lohr, Frostburg, Margaret Claycomb, and husband, John, Avon Lake, Ohio, and Mary L. Swanger, Cumberland; four brothers, Edman "Gene" Llewellyn, and wife, Laverne, Frostburg, William Llewellyn, and wife, Mary, Rawlings, David Llewellyn, and wife, Joann, Bedford Valley, and Joseph Llewellyn, and wife, Janice, Cumberland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George R. Loar officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
Pallbearers will be Don Llewellyn, Steve Llewellyn, Daryl Llewellyn, Blair Llewellyn, Jim Cessna and Lynn Mattas.
G. SYLVIA LOGUE
HYNDMAN, Pa. - G. Sylvia Logue, 81, of 2nd Avenue, Hyndman, died Friday, March 13, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Aug. 12, 1916, in Hyndman, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Huston Albright and Grace Sylvia (Mullin) Albright. She also was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donley C. Logue on Sept. 8, 1997.
Surviving are one son, Donley Logue Jr., married
to the former Marianne Deist of RD 1, Manns Choice, Pa.; twin daughters, Beth, married
to John Glencoe, and Nan, married
to Donald Kennedy, both of RD 1, Hyndman; six grandchildren and a brother, L. Huston Albright of Tyler, Texas.
Mrs. Logue was a member of First Avenue United Methodist Church, Hyndman.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Services will be conducted at First Avenue United Methodist Church on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Roger A. Johnson and the Rev. Julie L. Applegate officiating. Interment will be in Hyndman cemetery.
