RICHARD D. GLOTFELTY
SALISBURY, Pa. - Richard David Glotfelty, 75, of 118 Corliss St., Salisbury, died Saturday, April 4, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born Feb. 15, 1923, in Salisbury, he was a son of the late David and Margaret (Hanft) Glotfelty. He also was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Glotfelty.
Mr. Glotfelty was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a life member of Salisbury American Legion. He also was a member of the Salisbury Fire Department, and was a retired cement finisher.
Surviving are his wife, Grace A. (Swauger) Glotfelty; sister-in-law, Betty Glotfelty, Salisbury; nephew, Gary Glotfelty and wife Bonnie, Monrovia, Md.; and great-niece and great-nephew, Kelly and Scott.
Memorial services will be conducted at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, on Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating. Private interment will be in the Salisbury cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be directed to either St. John's Lutheran Church or the Salisbury Area Ambulance Association.
BERNICE M. HOUSEL
WELLERSBURG, Pa. - Bernice M. Housel, 84, of Wellersburg, died Dec. 7, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born Sept. 14, 1914, in Meyersdale, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Mary (Christner) Shuck. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene E. Housel; and two sisters, Waunetta Boyce and Margaret Petenbrink.
She is survived by a brother, Karl Shuck, Wellersburg; and two sisters, Pauline Nider and Ada Briskey, both of Meyersdale; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the Hostetler Church of the Brethren with Pastor William Davis officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Hostetler Church cemetery, Meyersdale.
WILLIAM E. GNAGEY JR.
SALISBURY, Pa. - William E. Gnagey Jr. 73, of 85 Gay St., Salisbury, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Oct. 10, 1925, in Elk Lick Township, Somerset County, he was the son of the late William E. Gnagey Sr. and Maude (Hay) Gnagey.
Mr. Gnagey was a lifetime farmer with Will-Ray Acres. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury, and a member of Somerset-Cambria Chapter Sons of the American Revolution. He was a patient coordinator for the Cumberland Regional Dialysis Center, and a member of the patient Advisory Committee for the Mid-Atlantic Renal Coalition.
Surviving are his wife, Daryle Eileen Gnagey; one brother, Norman H. Gnagey, Vermont; one sister, Mary Ann Wockenfuss, Adelphia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury, Sunday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Mount Lebanon cemetery, Fairhope, North Hampton Township, Pa.

ROY C. HUNT
EVERETT, Pa. - Roy C. Hunt, 70, of Everett, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998, in Bedford County.
He is survived by his wife, Flora, of Everett; five children and four stepchildren; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hunt was formerly employed at the Everett Railroad before retirement in 1992. He was currently employed at Tri County Milk Haulers, Everett.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. An avid railroad man, he belonged to a variety of railroad organizations and was active in those in the Cumberland, Md., area.
Friends may call at the Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, on Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday one hour prior to the services.
Funeral services will be held at the Dalla Valle Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Frank Wheeland officiating.
Interment will be in the Bedford County Memorial Park.
BETTY MAE GRANGER
HYNDMAN, Pa. - Betty Mae Granger, 71, of Palo Alto Road, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, at Warrenton, N.C.
She was born Dec. 23, 1926, a daughter of the late Oscar and Etta Louise (Hood) Wagner.
Mrs. Granger is survived by her husband, Robert M. Granger Sr.; two sons, Gary Granger, Fort Ashby, W.Va., and Michael Hays, Baltimore, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. David (Robin) Troutman Sr., Palo Alto Road, Hyndman; two sisters, Lillian Moon and Lola Savina, both of Baltimore; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Granger, a homemaker, was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
CLYDE R. HUTZELL
SALISBURY, Pa. - Clyde R. Hutzell, 83, of 101 Park Ave., Salisbury, died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, as a result of an auto-pedestrian accident earlier in the day.
Born March 1, 1914, in Springs, Pa., he was a son of the late Joe and Bertha (Cuschlag) Hutzell. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Jane (Shunk) Hutzell, April 30, 1994; and a son, Paul, Oct. 13, 1996.
He is survived by a daughter-in-law, R. Elaine Hutzell, Salisbury; a sister, Marion Poorbaugh, Mentor, Ohio; a grandson, Jody Hutzell, Salisbury; and a great-grandson, Paul Edward Hutzell.
He was a member of Saint John's United Church of Christ, and was a retired dragline operator for Sanner Coal Company.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted on Tuesday at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating. Interment will be in Salisbury cemetery.

WILLIAM GRENKE
HYNDMAN, Pa. - William Grenke, 90, Gooseberry Road, Hyndman, died Monday, July 20, 1998, at Smith's Personal Care Home, Buffalo Mills, R.D.
He was born Nov. 23, 1907, in Kingwood, W.Va., a son of the late August and Justine Grenke.
He is survived by a daughter, Gloria Jean (Emerick), wife of Fay Leydig, Hyndman R.D., and three grandchildren, Jena, wife of Gary Pensyl Jr., Buffalo Mills R.D., Steve, husband of Tammy (Blank), and Jerry, husband of Iris (Wentling), both of Hyndman R.D.; two brothers, Albert and Daniel Grenke, both of Cumberland, Md.; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In 1985, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Grace Elizabeth (Kiser) Grenke. Five brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.
Mr. Grenke worked as a B&O; Railroad welder for 37 years, and after retiring from the railroad was continuously employed in various capacities by Leydig family enterprises until 1996. He was a Pennsylvania forest firefighter for more than 70 years and a Pennsylvania fire warden for 46 years. He faithfully attended the Bible Gospel Church, R.D. 1, Hyndman.
Friends will be received at the Bible Gospel Church, 1« miles north of Hyndman on Pennsylvania Route 96, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Church by the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fay Leydig officiating.
Interment will be in Hyndman cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Steven Leydig, Jerry W. Leydig, Gary Emerick, Gary Pensyl Jr., June Emerick and Ron Emerick.
