NOBLE H. GILLESPIE
BEDFORD, Pa. - Noble H. Gillespie, 92, of the Kensington Algonquin, Cumberland, Md., formerly of Bedford, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998, at the Lions Manor Nursing Home.
Born Aug. 4, 1906, in Bloomington, Ind., he was the son of the late James and Maggie Estella (Tungate) Gillespie. He also was preceded in death by two half brothers.
On June 21, 1952, in Bedford, he married
Helen L. Amick, and she survives along with two stepsons, Leroy Mack and wife Bernice, Michigan, and Edward Mack and wife Elaine, Grosse Point, Mich.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gillespie was a member of the Bedford United Methodist Church, and was a life member of Hazel Park Lodge 570 F & AM of Michigan. He was a truck driver for Chrysler Corp. for 27 years.
Friends will be received at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Bedford, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. D. Guy Carrigan officiating.
Burial will be in the Bedford cemetery.

ELIZABETH C. JOHNSON
ARTEMAS, Pa. - Elizabeth C. Johnson, 84, of Goodwill Mennonite Nursing Home, Grantsville, Md., formerly of Artemas, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born July 2, 1914, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late James N. and Jesse (Teal) Long. She was also preceded in death by her husband, W. Ralph Johnson, in 1986; and two brothers, Melvin H. Long and James N. Long.
Mrs. Johnson was a former employee of the Celanese Corporation and Fisher and Robinettes Restaurant. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Women of the Moose.
Surviving are three stepchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mark C. Dill officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Cumberland.
R. MARCUS "MARK" HOOVER
EVERETT, Pa. - R. Marcus "Mark" Hoover, 42, of R.D. 1, Everett, died at his home on March 29, 1998.
He was born Jan. 2, 1956, in Snake Spring Township, a son of Robert M. and Dolores (Rice) Hoover, of R.D. 1, Everett.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two brothers, Charles "Jack" Hoover, R.D. 1, Everett, married
to the former Melanie Whisel, and Michael Hoover, R.D. 1, Everett; two nephews, Phil and Jim; and one grand-niece; and a special Uncle Jack Hoover, R.D. 1, Everett.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard H., on Oct. 8, 1983.
Mr. Hoover was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Everett. He was a graduate of Bedford High School, Class of 1973, where he was a member of the F.F.A.
He was employed at the family farm, R.D. 1, Everett, and was an avid hunter.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call at the Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Interment will be in the Everett cemetery.

DOROTHY M. ISIMINGER
TUCSON, Ariz. - Dorothy Miller Isiminger, 84, of Tucson, formerly of LaVale, Md., and Hyndman, Pa., died Monday, May 4, 1998, at Life Care Center of Tucson.
Born March 18, 1914, in Hyndman, she was a daughter of the late George D. and Eva Mae (Humbert) Goodwin. She also was preceded in death by two husbands, Ralph C. Isiminger, on June 14, 1997, and William H. Miller, on April 14, 1978; a son, William H. Miller Jr.; two brothers; and a sister.
Surviving are a son, James G. Miller, and wife, Sharon (O'Ferral), with whom she resided; a grandson, W. Jeffrey Miller; two step-sons, Ralph Isiminger Jr., LaVale, and John Isiminger, Massapequa, N.Y.; a step-daughter, Carol Aaron, Acton, Mass.; and seven step-grandchildren.
Mrs. Isiminger retired with 29 years of employment as a postal clerk at the Hyndman Post Office.
She was a member of 1st Avenue United Methodist Church in Hyndman, and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David A. Klink and the Rev. Dale R. Shunk officiating. Interment will be in Hyndman cemetery.

RUTH L. JOHNSON
UNIONTOWN, Pa. - Ruth Lee Johnson, 80, of Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown, formerly of Champion, Pa., and Cumberland, Md., died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, at the nursing center.
Born Oct. 28, 1917, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mae (Holzen) Frantz. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Johnson, in 1990; one brother, George Frantz; and one sister, Virginia Knippenberg.
Mrs. Johnson was associated with the former Frantz Bakery, Cumberland.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are one daughter, Betty M. Clark and husband, John, with whom she resided; one son, Richard R. Johnson, Cumberland; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at noon with the Rev. Wayne R. Turner officiating.
Interment will be in Rocky Gap Veterans cemetery, Flintstone, Md.
AUDRAINNE M. HORNING
MEYERSDALE, Pa. - Audrainne Mary Horning, 74, of Meyersdale, died Sept. 1, 1998, at Conemaugh Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 1, 1923, in Salisbury, a daughter of the late Hubert and Nira Fern (Merrill) Brown Sr. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Roseann; great-grandson, James; and a brother, Hubert Brown Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Donald L.; and these children, Mona Lee, wife of Donald Oester, Meyersdale, Donald Kenneth and wife, Patty, Boonsboro, Md., and Roger Dale, and wife, Donna, Forrest, Va.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was a sister of Jon and Richard Brown, both of Salisbury, James Brown of Richmond, Va., Margaret Schrock and Marcie Thomas, both of Meyersdale, and Rayetta Brant of Springs.
She was a member of Amity United Church of Christ, Meyersdale Eastern Star, and Post 112 American Legion Auxiliary.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Leckemby Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Amity United Church of Christ with the Rev. Bruce Ashlock officiating.
Interment will be in the Union cemetery, Meyersdale.
