WILLIAM D. GLOTFELTY
CARLISLE, Pa. - William Donald Glotfelty, 75, of 1828 Heishman Gardens, Carlisle, died Sunday, May 31, 1998, at Carlisle Hospital.
Born March 23, 1923, in Grantsville, he was a son of the late O.J. "Mike" and Elsie I. (Stahl) Glotfelty. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Sylvia (Toombs) Glotfelty, in 1970; and a brother, Carl B. "Peep" Glotfelty, in 1988.
Mr. Glotfelty was retired from the U.S. military after 30 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps, and three years with the Merchant Marines. He served in World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietman Conflict. He was a life member of Grantsville Post 214 American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Beecher Glotfelty; four stepsons, Michael, Paul and Glenn Beecher, all of Carlisle, and James Beecher, Fayetteville; a stepdaughter, Winifred Beecher, Carlisle; two brothers, Robert Glotfelty, Clarksburg, W.Va., and Joseph Glotfelty, Cumberland, Md.; four nieces; and four nephews.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md., on Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Earl A. Yoder officiating.
Interment will be in the Grantsville cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded by Grantsville Post 214 American Legion.
MARY ELLEN FALLON
SALISBURY, Pa. - Mary Ellen Fallon, 49, of Norristown, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998, at Suburban Woods Nursing Home, Norristown.
Born Aug. 16, 1948, in Charleston, W.Va., she was a daughter of Rita (Livengood) Fallon Walker, LaVale, and the late George Fallon.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Darren Fallon, Ohio, Troy Fallon, Cumberland; two brothers, George Fallon and Gary Walker; four sisters, Eleanor Ann, Winnie Mae, Mary Carol and Linda Kay.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. George Harpold officiating. Interment will be in Salisbury cemetery.
HARRY WILLIAM "BILL" GARLAND
BUFFALO MILLS, Pa. - Harry William "Bill" Garland, 71, of 2975 Milligans Cove Road, Buffalo Mills, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998, at UPMC Bedford Memorial, Everett, Pa.
A son of the late Carl William and Mary Grace (Stouffer) Garland, he was born June 1, 1927, in Buffalo Mills.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, L. Dorothy (Stanley) Garland; sons Carl W., married
to Lisa (Elliott), Cumberland, Md., and Stanley J. of Mechanicsburg; daughter Kathleen A., wife of Steven. J. Petrullo, Melbourne, Fla.; granddaughters, Jessica, Megan, Becky and Rachel Garland; brothers, Robert C. and Samuel A., married
to Annette (Palmer) Garland, both of Buffalo Mills; and sister Carle E. Huntsman, Bedford.
Mr. Garland, a lifelong farmer, was a Harrison Township Supervisor for 21 years. Home and church life were among his highest priorities, and he was a member of Milligans Cove Christian Church for 60 years. He had served the church as Trustee, and from 1967 until 1973 he was a vice president of the Bedford & Fulton Counties Christian Conference. Beginning in his youth, Mr. Garland often played the violin at church.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and at Milligans Cove Christian Church beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Services will be conducted at the church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Russell Hoffman and the Rev. M.W. Nesselrodt officiating.
Interment will be in Milligans Cove Christian cemetery.
PAULINE A. HILLEGAS
BOYNTON, Pa. - Pauline A. Hillegas, 89, formerly of Boynton, died Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. She had been a resident of the Frostburg Village Nursing Home for four years.
Born July 6, 1908, in Boynton, she was a daughter of the late Boaz and Savilla (Garlitz) Trent. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Hillegas, on Oct. 25, 1991.
Mrs. Hillegas was a member of the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church, where she participated in the choir and women's group. She also was a member of Queen Esther Bible Class, Boynton.
Survivors include a son, R. Dean Hillegas, Meyersdale; a daughter, Janet K. Miller, Frederick, Md.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the church on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Randy Haulk officiating. Interment will be in the Salisbury cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be directed to either Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church or the Frostburg Village Nursing Home.

DOROTHY N. FINCHAM
CLEARVILLE, Pa. - Dorothy Norma Fincham, 73, of Clearville, died Wednesday, March 25, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 14, 1924, in Bethesda, Md., she was the daughter of the late James Mark Stadtler and the late Pearl Cecelia (Parks) Stadtler. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon H. Fincham, on April 23, 1984.
Mrs. Fincham was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she served on the administration board, and a was member of the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda Darlene, Frederick, Md.; a brother, James Stadtler Jr., Clearville; a sister, Louise Arth, Interlachen, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Charles and wife, Melanie, Kenneth and wife, Gretchen, Robert and wife, Dawn, Linda and husband, James, Douglas, William and Juliet; and nine great-grandchildren, Tabitha, Audrey, Christopher, Samantha, Benjamin, Erica, Titus, Esther and Jacob.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Monday at 8 p.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. Robert Nair officiating.

NELLIE MAE HOLLER
BUFFALO MILLS RD, Pa. - Nellie Mae (Glessner) Holler, 89, of Buffalo Mills RD, died Monday, July 13, 1998, at Bedford Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 30, 1908, in Buffalo Mills RD, a daughter of the late Jacob and Grace (Clites) Glessner. She was raised by the late Jacob and Annie Holler, Buffalo Mills RD.
In 1987 she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Frank Silas Holler Sr. One daughter, Shirley M. Lafferty; three brothers, Benjamin, Earl and Arlo Holler; and one grandson, Gary Emerick, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Holler was a homemaker and worked for many years at Smith's Rest Home. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Dry Ridge.
She is survived by sons, Frank S. Jr., husband of Donna (Mortimer), Blair R., husband of Helen (Miller), Robert F., husband of Ida (Baer), Dalton W., husband of Faye (Herline), and James E., all of Buffalo Mills RD; daughters Dorothy E. Emerick, Hyndman RD, Blanche G. Lowery, Woodbridge, Va., and Anna Jean, wife of Roy Foor, New Enterprise; sisters, Anna Glessner, Atco, N.J., Pearl, wife of Bill Shoemaker, Buffalo Mills RD, and Pauline, wife of Marl Foor, Bedford; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

HYNDMAN, Pa. - Reuel E. "Jake" Lehman, 82, of Maple Street, Hyndman, died Thursday, April 2, 1998, at Donahue Manor, Bedford.
Born Sept. 6, 1915, in Hyndman, he was a son of the late John L. and Eva Pearl (Sherman) Lehman.
On Aug. 24, 1936, at Alexandria, Va., he married
the former Helen I. Johnston, who survives him along with a daughter, Lee Ann, wife of Robert C. Miller Jr., of R.D. 1, Buffalo Mills; three granddaughters, Randa, Jana and Krista Miller; a brother, J. Sherman Lehman and wife, Geraldine, of R.D. 1, Buffalo Mills; and five sisters, Dale, widow of the late Thomas Shuck, Baltimore, Md., Vivian, wife of Leonard Malas, R.D. 1, Buffalo Mills, Twila, widow of the late Sam Black, Kittanning, Faye, wife of Howard May, R.D. 1, Buffalo Mills, Anna, wife of John Waltman, R.D. 4, Bedford.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Regis Lehman; and five sisters, Lillian Lehman, Lois Lehman, Gloria Kinton, Vera Schmidt and Ilga Albritton.
Mr. Lehman retired in 1978 with 28 years of employment with CGR Medical Corporation, formerly a part of the Westinghouse Corporation in Baltimore. He previously had worked at the Amcelle Plant of the Celanese Corporation of America in Cumberland, Md.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he was a member of the First Avenue United Methodist Church of Hyndman.
