OREAN LEE "BILLIE" BARNES, JR.
MEYERSDALE, Pa. - Orean Lee "Billie" Barnes, Jr., 43, of Springfield, died Jan. 12, 1998, at Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Romney, W.Va.
He was born Sept. 30, 1954, in Three Churches, W.Va., a son of the late Orean L. and Ivadella (Moreland) Barnes, Sr.
He is survived by two sons, Michael and "Cueball;" a brother, Dailey, Cumberland; sisters, Evelyn Sherman, Berlin, Pa., and Alma Sherman, Meyersdale, Pa.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where the service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in White Oak cemetery.
RUTH BARTHOLOW
CHANEYSVILLE, Pa.- Ruth Bartholow, 88, of Chaneysville, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, at the Penn Knoll Nursing Home, Bedford.
Surviving are four children, Clyde and Raymond Bartholow, Janet Shipley and Doris Troutman; and one brother, Abraham Fisher.
Friends will be received at the Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Everett, Monday from 5 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted there Tuesday at 2 p.m.
Interment will be in Chaneysville.
CLYDE W. BARTON
WELLERSBURG, Pa. - Clyde W. Barton, 85, formerly of Wellersburg, Pa., died on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998, at Port St. Lucie (Florida) Nursing and Restorative Center.
Born Nov. 10, 1912, in Langdondale, Pa., he was the oldest son of the late Lafayette Fontaine and Frances (Melius) Barton. He was preceded in death by brothers, Lloyd C. Barton, Charles Barton, and sisters, Agnes (Barton) Ramsey and Betty Barton.
Before retiring to Florida where he resided for 18 years, Mr. Barton was a carman for some 37 years for the Baltimore and Ohio/Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad. Prior to working for the railroad, he was a miner. He was a member of the Transportation Communications Union 6656 and its predecessor the Brotherhood of Railroad Carmen.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby (Glass) Barton of Port St. Lucie; two daughters Jean Lenderking and husband, Michael of Sterling, Va., and Bonnie Fairall and husband, Al of Cumberland. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Julie Lenderking Hendren and husband, Mike of Norfolk, Va., and Shawn Eric Ritchie and wife, Kathy of Thurmont and three great-grandchildren Ashley Nicole Ritchie and Samantha and John Little.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Wellersburg (Pa.) Zion, Lutheran Reformed Church on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Ken L. Korns officiating. Friends and family are invited to attend. Memorial donations may be made to the Wellersburg Volunteer Fire Department, of which Mr. Barton was a founding member, or as designated by the donor. Mr. Barton is buried at Restlawn Memorial Park, LaVale.
WALTER F. BAUGHMAN
MEYERSDALE, Pa. - Walter F. Baughman, 82, of Meyersdale, died March 30, 1998, at Meyersdale Medical Center.
Born Jan. 25, 1916, in Sand Patch, Pa., he was a son of the late William and Agnes (Bittner) Baughman.
He was a veteran of World War II; and he was a member of the Charles E. Kelly American Legion Post 112. He also was a retired PennDOT employee.
He is survived by his widow, Margaret (Hampe); two sons, Walter James, Hyndman, Willard "Sock," Meyersdale; a daughter, Sharon Knobsnyder, Somerset; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Stella Baughman, Delores Hutzel and Violet Reiber, all of Meyersdale.
Friends will be received at the Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Manley officiating.
Interment will be in the White Oak cemetery.
RYNTHIA P. EDWARDS
CLEARVILLE, Pa. - Ryntha Pauline Edwards, 74, of RD 2, Clearville, died at her home on Jan. 27, 1998.
She was born Oct. 12, 1923, in Chaneysville, Pa., a daughter of the late Raymond E. and Mary P. (Miller) Redinger. She was also preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Church of God International and was primarily a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Robert P. Edwards and these children from a former marriage: Connie L., wife of Gary Foor, RD 3, Clearville; Donnie V. Gendron, Fort Ashby, W.Va., and wife, Tammy; stepchildren, Sharon, wife of Joseph Wyont, Philadelphia, Pa.; Robert P. Edwards Jr., Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Darren M. Beck; Dalton V. Gendron and Cherie Pauline Gendron; two great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren and was a caregiver for Autumn Trail.
Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Clifford J. Redinger and Fern Mock, both of Sprowl, Pa.; Mary M. Bussard, Six Mile Run and Iva N. Day, Ridgeley, W.Va.
Friends will be received at the Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, Pa., on Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Friday one hour prior to the service.
Services will be held Friday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m. in the Dalla Valley Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Michael James officiating. Interment will be at the Mount Zion Christian cemetery near Chaneysville.
ELIZABETH E. BEACHY
SALISBURY, Pa. - Elizabeth E. Beachy, 73, of 558 River Road, Salisbury, died Sunday, April 19, 1998, at his residence.
Born Oct. 30, 1924, near St. Paul, she was a daughter of the late Eli L. and Amanda (Hershberger) Yoder.
Mrs. Beachy was a member of Mountain View Christian Fellowship and was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Ernest N. Beachy; two sons, Daniel Beachy, Conestoga, and Philip Beachy, Salisbury; five daughters, Naomi Petersheim, Oakland, Md., Dorcas Yoder, Grantsville, Md., Anna Tice, Dover, Del., Mary Jane Yoder, Meyersdale, and Miriam Bruno, West Jefferson, Ohio; three brothers, Henry Eli Yoder and Paul H. Yoder, both of Grantsville, and John Yoder, Salisbury; two sisters, Lena Beachy, Salisbury, and Edna Beachy, Paoli, Ind.; 30 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at Mountain View Christian Fellowship on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Jerry Yoder and the Rev. David Yoder officiating.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.

LEONA C. BEAL
HYNDMAN, Pa. - Leona Claire Beal, 89, a resident of Pennknoll Village, RD1, Everett, formerly of Hyndman, died Monday, March 9, 1998.
Born Jan. 26, 1909, in Hyndman, she was a daughter of the late Royal C. and Gertrude G. (Tipton) Menges. Her husband, Clifton N. "Nick" Beal, preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1988, ending their 58-year marriage.
Surviving are two daughters, Janet C. Waltman and husband Charles W., Port Charlotte, Fla., and N. Lynne Leap and husband Don T., RD1, Hyndman; a brother, Devon "Doady" Menges, Cumberland, Md.; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; and two nieces.
Mrs. Beal had been a homemaker and caregiver for her mother prior to her 1987 admission to Pennknoll Village. Her pleasant smile and friendliness brought pleasure to all who knew her. She was a life member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hyndman, and was a 50-year member of the Bedford Springs Chapter 41, Order of the Eastern Star.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Roger Johnson, the Rev. Julie Applegate, and the Rev. Leroy Logsdon officiating. Interment will be in the Madley cemetery.
The Order of the Eastern Star will conduct a service at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Winters, Jack Cheney, Baron Leap, Del Biller, Stanley Pensyl and Donald Shaffer. Harold Sherman will serve as honorary pallbearer.
