LESTER C. MYERS
BEDFORD, Pa. - Lester C. Myers, 88, of Donahoe Manor Nursing Home, formerly of R.D. #3, Bedford, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at UPMC Bedford Memorial.
He was born May 2, 1910, in Johnstown, son of the late William Blair and Jennie (Iddings) Myers.
On Nov. 21, 1936, he married
Daisy (Gordon), and she preceded him in death on Sept. 17, 1991.
He is survived by the following children: William C., married
to the former Ida Mae Kegg, R.D. #6, Bedford, Jenny, wife of David H. Evans, R.D. #3, Bedford, Carol L., wife of Warren A. Feaster, R.D. #6, Bedford, and L. James Myers, married
to the former Darlene Renner, Coon Rapids, Minn. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; one step great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Bertha Phillips, San Francisco, Calif.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, William, Elmer, Ellis, Elwood, Edward and James Myers, husband of Dorothy, who survives in Alexandria; and one grandson, Darrin Evans.
Mr. Myers was a mechanic and drove a truck for Spector-Mid State for over 20 years.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Bedford, with the Rev. David L. Wright officiating.
Burial will be in the Bedford County Memorial Park.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
ROBERT E. MINNICK
BUFFALO MILLS, Pa. - Robert Edward Minnick, 66, of Rankers Lane, Buffalo Mills, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999 at Washington Medical Center, Washington, D.C.
Born Feb. 15, 1933 in Hyndman, he was a son of the late Raymond E. and Myrtle M. (Smeak) Minnick. He also was preceded in death by three brothers; Jack, Sam and Jim Minnick; and one sister, Grace Minnick.
Mr. Minnick is survived by his wife, Katinka "Kitty"Minnick, of Buffalo Mills; one son, Michael E. Minnick and wife Brenda, of Hyndman; one daughter, Bobbie L. Browne and husband Brad, of Ashland, Ohio; one brother, Reggie K. Minnick, of Phillippi, W.Va.; four step-children; eight grandchildren; eight step-grandchilren and one very special aunt, Geraldine Kennell and Uncle Buck.
Mr. Minnick, a glass cutter for P.P.G., Inc., served in the Army Military Police, and was a member of the Bedford American Legion, Hyndman Rod and Gun Club and AARP.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Hyndman cemetery.
NINA J. OHLER
STOYSTOWN, Pa. - Nina J. Ohler, 91, of Stoystown, formerly of Fairhope, died March 13, 1999, at Somerset Hospital.
Born May 14, 1907, in Humbert, she was a daughter of Noah and Mary (Hutzell) Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alex Z. Ohler; son, Alex, Jr.; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by these children, Harvey N., married
to the former Marylou Emerick, Stoystown; Cinda, married
to George Emerick, Fairhope; Robert L., married
to the former Shirley Smith, Springfield, W.Va.; Anna 'Dolly," married
to Roy B. Smith, Stoystown; and Dorothy, married
to Jack Cottle, Hyndman; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harvey Mitchell, Boswell.
She was a former employee of the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman. She was a member of Kantner Assembly of God.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday with the Rev. Marty Critchfield officiating.
Interment will be in Somerset County Memorial Park.

LENA CLUSTA MASON
SALISBURY, Pa. - Lena Clusta Mason, 80, of 104 Mechanic St., Salisbury, died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at Meyersdale Medical Center.
Born Aug. 22, 1918, in Jennings, Md., she was a daughter of the late Fred and Leattie (Hoover) Stein. She was preceded in death by her husband, Galen R. Mason, Dec. 13, 1998; two sons, Eugene and Mansel; two brothers, Roy and Sylvan Stein; and a sister, Ruth Eisentrout.
Mrs. Mason was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God and was a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Bradley L. Mason, Meyersdale; a daughter, Loretta F. Paul, Salisbury; a brother, Frank Stein, Grantsville, Md.; four sisters, Marguerite Deal, Manassas, Va., Verna Twombly, Addison, Pa., Wilda Hollada, Fort Hill, Pa., Shirley Brinegar, Grantsville; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Maranatha Assembly of God with the Rev. Joseph Snodgrass officiating.
Interment will be in Salisbury cemetery.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.
Pallbearers will be Elmer Paul, David Mason, Richard Mason, John Mason, Barry Jacobs and Dan Haines.
HELEN G. MAZER
MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Helen (Glessner) Mazer, 85, of Milwaukee, formerly of Hyndman, Pa., died April 3, 1999, at the Tudor Oaks Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William.
Mrs. Mazer was the beloved mother of three sons, Boyd and wife, Marites, Bernard and wife, Dianne, and Blair and wife, Cheryl; two daughters, Cheryl, and Kathy Gray and husband, Terry. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and lots of friends.
Helen was a lifelong piano teacher and church organist.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
SYLVIA C. MCCOY
COOKS MILLS, Pa. - Sylvia Clark McCoy, 90, of Cooks Mills, Hyndman R.D., died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at the Cumberland Nursing Center, Cumberland, Md.
Born May 23, 1908, in Cooks Mills, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Grace (Stair) Clark.
Mrs. McCoy is survived by three sons, James W., married
to Jean (Shaffer) and Robert C., married
to Paulette (Emerick), both of Cooks Mills, Hyndman R.D., and John L., married
to Dorothy (Emerick), Dillsburg; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Marjorie M.) Shroyer, Stringtown, Hyndman R.D.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by 1982 by her husband of 55 years, Joseph L. McCoy.
Mrs. McCoy was a homemaker and a member of Cooks Mills United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Roger A. Johnson, the Rev. Julie L. Applegate and the Rev. David L. Klink officiating.
Interment will be in Cooks Mills UMC cemetery.
