HELEN ARNOLD NEE
BEDFORD, Pa. - Helen Arnold Nee, 96, of the Allegany County Nursing Home, Cumberland, Md., died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at the home.
She was born on March 15, 1902, in Bedford Township, a daughter of the late Clayton R. and Ada E. (Boor) Arnold. On April 7, 1928, she married
Ralph J. 'Bing' Nee and he preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1983.
She is survived by four sons, Glenn L., married
to the former Emma Lou (Skinner), Camarillo, Calif., Bernard R., married
to the former Ruby (Barnes), Cresaptown, Md., Ronald E., married
to the former Karen (Peiffer), Lebanon, and Paul A., married
to the former Georgene (Geist), Meyerstown. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter; and two brothers, Clyde and Willard Arnold.
Mrs. Nee was a member of the Cresaptown United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Burning Bush Methodist Church. She was a member of the Bedford County Retired Teachers Association and A.A.R.P. She attended Shippensburg State Teachers College. She first taught at the Arnold School House in Bedford Township and retired in 1965 from the Centerville Elementary School.
Services will be conducted at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Bedford, on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold McClay Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Bedford County Memorial Park.
RAYMOND J. MORGART
HYNDMAN, Pa. - Raymond J. Morgart, 79, of Second Avenue, Hyndman, died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999, at his residence.
Born Oct. 10, 1920, in Bedford County, he was the son of the late Richard and Sadie Irene (Bingham) Morgart. He also was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Morgart; one step-brother, Charles Morgart; and one step-sister, Iona Cook.
In 1951 he married
his wife of 48 years, Eileen E. Morgart. She survives along with one brother, Clair Morgart, Bedford; four sisters, Mary Bradley, Kalamazoo, Mich.; Martha Mock, Kenosha, Wisc.; Janet Crownover, Mountain Home, Ark.; and Helen Wigfield, Cumberland, Md.; and one step-sister, Rebecca Kasper, Baltimore, Md.
Mr. Morgart served in the 10th Air Force during World War II. He served in the China/India Theater as engineer gunner on B24s, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Metal with Cluster.
Mr. Morgart was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Hyndman, and also attended the Faith Community Church. He served the First United Church of Christ as President and Secretary/Treasurer of the Consistery, and was President and Secretary on the Joint Consistery of the Hyndman/Wellersburg Charge. He was a Deacon for 11 years, an Elder for 15 years, and was a member of the church choir. He taught Sunday school for 62 years and was Sunday School Superintendent and Treasurer.
Mr. Morgart served as the President of the Sophomore Class of the Bedford High School Class of 1939. He was active in baseball, played in the Bedford County Baseball League for 15 years, one year at Frostburg Teachers College, eight years in Penn Mar, and served as President of the Penn Mar League for three years.
Mr. Morgart attended Potomac State College and the Pennsylvania State University, and in 1950, graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Frostburg State College. He taught at Beall High School, Frostburg, Md., for one year, and was a substitute teacher for 20 years. He also worked for the Kelly Springfield Tire Company, Cumberland, Md., in the service department for 20 years; Newton Manufacturing Company, Newton, Iowa, as a salesman for 25 years; Johnston Memorial Company, Meyersdale, as a salesman for 24 years; Commercial Press, Cumberland, Md., as a salesman for 15 years; and First Class Printing, Bedford, as a salesman for seven years.
Mr. Morgart was active in the Hyndman Civic Association, the Hyndman Health Center Board, the Gideon Organization, Scouting as leader for 17 years, five and a half years in Boy Scouts, two and a half years in Explorers, eight years in Cub Scouts, and was Cub Master for 18 years. He also was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Friends will be received at the First United Church of Christ, Hyndman, on Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Services will be conducted at the church on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Steven Craft and Pastor Terry Campbell officiating.
Interment will be in Cooks Mill cemetery.
The Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, is in charge of arrangements.

VADA G. MORRIS
EVERETT, Pa. - Vada Glee Morris, 70, of Everett, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, in Woodbridge, Va., while visiting her son.
Born Nov. 17, 1928, in Inglesmith, she was the daughter of Lula (Robinson) Barnes, Carmichael, and the late James O. Barnes.
Mrs. Morris was a member of the Clear Ridge Fellowship Church, where she was an active member of the church ladies group, in the church kitchen, with making crafts, ministry, and social and spiritual activities. She also served with her husband on the mission committee at the church. This was a very important part of her life. She had been employed for 26 years by the former Lion Manufacturing Company of Everett. After the factory closing, she worked at the Post House in Breezewood until retiring in 1994. She was president of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 155 Artemas where she served for 15 years.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ralph C. Morris, whom she married
March 16, 1946, in Winchester, Va. She also is survived by two sons, Roger Morris and wife Barbara, Woodbridge, and James Morris and wife Linda, Bend, Ore.; one grandson, Kenneth Morris; one great-grandson, Tyler James Morris; and two sisters, Mary Hartley, Carmichaels, and Alverta Hall, National City, Ca.
Friends will be received at the Dalla Valle Funeral SVC, Main Street, Everett, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and at the church on Thursday one hour prior to the services.
Funeral services will be held at the Clear Ridge Fellowship Church on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. John Hodge officiating.
Interment will be in the Fairview cemetery.

URSELORE M. PORTER
HYNDMAN, Pa. - Urselore M. (Sermersheim) Porter, 76, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at her home in Hyndman.
Born Aug. 5, 1922, in Berlin, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Heinrich and Margarite Sermersheim.
Mrs. Porter is survived by her husband, Harlan E. Porter; two sons, Wesley R. and wife Kathleen of Sicklerville, N.J., and Joe H. and wife Maryann of Doylestown, Pa.; a daughter, Jo-Lynn Savoy and husband Michael of Bear, Del.; sister, Barbara Wittko of Bamberg, Germany; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Porter was a homemaker.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, Pa., on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Julie Applegate of Palo Alto United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will be in the Porter cemetery, Hyndman, at the convenience of the family.
JUANITA P. MORRISON
HANOVER, Pa. - Juanita Pearl Morrison (nee Dennison), 76, of Homewood Retirement Center, Westminster Avenue, Hanover, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Homewood.
Born July 21, 1922, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late John and Alice Gross Dennison.
She was the widow of the late L. Carl Morrison, who died in May 1997.
She retired from Rosewood State Hospital where she was an LPN Supervisor.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Barbara Morrison, Hanover, John and Darlene Morrison, Hampstead, Md.; one daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and Ken Ward, Ellicott City, Md.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John and Paul Dennison, Cumberland; and one sister, Mildred Hite, Marietta, Ga.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Homewood of Plum Creek, Hanover. There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Arthritis Foundation.
DOROTHY E. MURRAY
KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Dorothy E. Murray, age 77, formerly of Jordan Road, Fairplay, Md., residing at 357 E. Main St., Kutztown, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999 at her residence.
She was born in Cumberland, Md., a daughter of the late Neva (Rieger) and Joseph Wilson Sr.
She was an electrical assembler for more than 10 years at the former Western Electric, now Lucent Technologies, Reading, last working in 1981. Prior to that she was also an LPN at St. Joseph's Hospital, Reading, for several years.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas J. Murray, with whom she resided, and Frederick J. Murray Jr.; sisters, Esther (Wilson) Welsh, Hyndman, Josephine (Wilson) McMannis, LaVale, Md., Gwen (Wilson) LaCasper, Cumberland; a brother, Earl Wilson, Wellington, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be conducted on Friday at 1 p.m. in St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 234 E. Main St., Kutztown. There will be no visitation.
