GEORGE J. KERINS
SHERBORN, MA. - George J. Kerins, 83, of Everett St., Sherborn, died Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at his home.
Born on Nov. 15, 1915, in Pittsburgh, Pa., he was the son of the late George T. and Margaret (Murphy) Kerins. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucille H. (Houck) Kerins; and by one sister, Marcella Kerins.
Mr. Kerins was a graduate of the Oakland High School, class of 1941, and Rider College with a BA in accounting. He retired as the regional auditor of the Interstate Commerce Commission, Boston.
He was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Sherborn, the Knights of Columbus and the Lions Club. An Air Force veteran of World War II, he retired with a rank of Lieutenant Colonel and was a member of the American Legion and the 386th Bomber Group.
He is survived by three sons, Joseph Kerins, Upton, Gregory Kerins, Bolton and Ralph Kerins, Sherborn; one sister, Dolores Truly-Thompson, Frostburg; one brother, James Regis Kerins, Bristol, CT; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
An inurnment service will be conducted at the Oakland cemetery, Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald Parson, officiating.
Interment will follow.
A Christian Wake service will be conducted at the funeral home, Wednesday at 3 p.m.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by members of the various veteran's organizations in southern Garrett County.
LOIS R. KORNS
HYNDMAN, Pa. - Lois Ruth (Emerick) Korns, 78, of Hyndman Road, Hyndman, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at the Cumberland Villa Nursing Home, Cumberland, Md.
Born March 2, 1921, in Fairhope, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin E. "Nick" and Mabel (Poorbaugh) Emerick.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, James R. Korns, Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, whom she married
on July 6, 1938, by Pastor Eugene P. Sicyles at the St. Mary's Reformed Church, Cumberland; three daughters, Faith Horner and husband, Richard, Hyndman, Londa Randall, Cumberland, and Debbie Harden and husband Chris, Waldorf, Md.; one brother, William Emerick, Bethlehem, Pa.; two sisters, Genevieve Reed, Cumberland, and Violet Lockey, Bethlehem; two grandchildren, Chris Harden Jr. and wife Heidi, and Jeffrie Harden; and two great-granddaughters, Brittany and Krystal.
Mrs. Korns, a homemaker, was associated with the First United Church of Christ, a member of the VFW Oscar Jordan Post Ladies Auxiliary, the Ladies Auxiliary Eagles, Cumberland, and the Hyndman Senior Citizens Group.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, Pa., on Tuesday, Dec. 14 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 12 p.m.
Interment will be in the Palo Alto Hilltop cemetery.
WILLIAM HANSEL
WOODBRIDGE, Va. - William Hansel, 86, of Summerville at Prince William, Prince William Parkway, Woodbridge, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999, at Hospice of Northern Virginia, Arlington, Va.
Born Sept. 1, 1913, in Lonaconing, he was the son of the late Morgan Hansel and Anna (Brode) Hansel. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nora A. (Bane) Hansel, who died Jan. 20, 1994.
Mr. Hansel was a retired Street Car and Bus Driver for the Metro Transit in Washington, D.C.; he was a member of the Calvary Nazarene Church, Woodbridge, Va.
Surviving are one daughter, Ruth A. Cox and husband, Earl, Woodbridge, Va.; one granddaughter, Wendy R. Perry and husband, Michael, Woodbridge, Va.; one brother, Oliver S. Hansel and wife, June, Cumberland; two sisters, Evelyn Diggs and husband, Paul, Wheaton, and Dorothy Fienblatt and husband, Stuart, Amarillo, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Kight Funeral Home, 309-311 Decatur St., Cumberland, MD 21502, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home, on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Earl Cox, officiating.
Interment will be at Bethel cemetery, near Centerville, Pa.
VICTORIA A. KNAUB
YORK, Pa. - Victoria A. (Logsdon) Knaub, 53, of York, died Sunday, July 18, 1999, at York Hospital.
Born July 24, 1945, in Cumberland, Md., she was a daughter of the late Robert E. and Phyllis (Amick) Logsdon.
Mrs. Knaub is survived by her husband, Michael A. Knaub; three sons, Jeffrey C. Rice, Florence, Ky., Robert J. Rice, West Palm Beach, Fla., and Ethan M. Knaub, York; a daughter, Alexis V. Knaub, York; a brother, Harlan Brooke, Cumberland, Md.; and two granddaughters.
Mrs. Knaub was a clerk in the medical records department at York Hospital for 17 years.
Friends will be received at the Workinger-Semmel Funeral Home Inc., 849 E. Market St., York, on Thursday, July 22, from 7 to 9 p.m., and at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Friday, July 23, from 1 to 2 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home on Friday, July 23, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Leroy Logsdon officiating.
Interment will be in Palo Alto Hilltop cemetery.

RICHARD A. KINSER
BEDFORD, Pa. - Richard Annon Kinser, 82, of Bedford, died Thursday, April 22, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born Feb. 8, 1917, in Oldtown, Md., he was the son of the late Garrett L. and Lizzie (Leasure) Kinser. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Iva Mae (Twigg) Kinser; one daughter; two stepsons; two sisters; and one brother.
Mr. Kinser was retired from the B&O; Railroad. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a member of the American Coon Hunters Association.
Surviving are one daughter, Joyce Butts, Hedgesville, W.Va.; one son, Dennis Kinser and wife, Ramona, Bedford; two sisters, Alice Hartsock, Cumberland, and Virginia Sears and husband, Art, Everett; two granddaughters; five grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Saturday from noon to 1 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Bernard Yost officiating. At Mr. Kinser's request, he will be cremated.
MAURICE E. IMLER
MEYERSDALE, Pa. - Maurice E. Imler, 85, of LaVale, Md., formerly of Meyersdale, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, at his home.
Born June 7, 1913, in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Elsie (Poorbaugh) Imler. He also was preceded in death by two brothers; and one sister.
Surviving are his wife, the former Evelyn J. Bowman; two children, Robert M. Imler, Newnan, Ga., and Patricia J. Paugh, Jefferson, Md.; five grandchildren, Tim Imler, Kim Imler, Brian Imler, Brent Paugh and Brianne Paugh; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Imler, Lorin Daniels, Abigail Daniels and Kyle Daniels; and a sister, Nell Imler, Meyersdale.
Mr. Imler was retired from the B&O; Railroad and was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
The family will receive friends at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Craig L. Lyman officiating.
Interment will be in the Union cemetery, Meyersdale.
