RODGER L. BOHN
BUFFALO MILLS, Pa. - Rodger Lee Bohn, 47, of Alleghany Road, Buffalo Mills, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, in Somerset County, Pa.
Born June 8, 1952, in Bedford, he was the son of Evelyn (Amick) Bohn, Manns Choice, and the late Lloyd C. Bohn.
Mr. Bohn is also survived by his son, Travis L., Buffalo Mills; two brothers, Stephen A., his twin, and wife Susan, and Thomas R., both of Manns Choice; a sister, Sharon E. Gindele, Manns Choice; and a very special friend, Audrey E. Hockycko, Buffalo Mills.
Mr. Bohn owned and operated Rod's Auto Sales with his brother Tom. He served in the U.S. Army as a M.P. He was a member of Milligan's Cove Christian Church. He also belonged to Eagle Aerie 1801, Somerset and the New Baltimore Sportman's Club.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, on Friday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. with Russell Hoffman, officiating.
Interment will be in Milligan's Cove cemetery.
DWIGHT O. FOLK
SPRINGS, Pa. - Dwight Otto Folk, 79, of 1981 Springs Road, Salisbury, died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at Goodwill Mennonite Home.
Born Oct. 25, 1920, at Grantsville, Md., he was the son of the late Bruce and Olive (Kinsinger) Folk. He also was preceded in death by one sister, Marvette Fisher; and two brothers, Wayne Folk and Orlo Folk.
Mr. Folk was a self-employed auto body repairman. He was a member of the Springs Mennonite Church, Springs Historical Society, and Tub Mill Arts. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Ferne (King) Folk; two sons, D. Ronald Folk and Richard A. Folk, both of Grantsville; one daughter, Linda Hardesty, Salisbury; one sister, Retha Oester, Canton, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Steven Heatwole officiating.
Interment will be in the Springs cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to the Springs Mennonite Church.

LONACONING - Friends will be received for James Harold Evans Jr., 56, of 37 Furnace St., Lonaconing, at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father James Hannon as celebrant.
Interment will be at Frostburg Memorial Park. Graveside military rites will be accorded by Farrady Post #24 American Legion, Frostburg.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Kelly, Jim Stakem, Stan Raley, Jeff Sloan, Fred Sloan and Dan Sloan.

DONALD R. GEIGER
EVERETT, Pa. - Donald Ray "Buck"Geiger, 60, of Everett, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 1999, at the UPMC Bedford Memorial.
Born April 17, 1938, in Meyersdale, Somerset County, he was a son of the late Charles H. and Leona S. (Reiber) Geiger. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Geiger; and a sister, Doris Jean Wilt.
He was never married
and is survived by brothers and sisters, Leona Mae Beiler, Mount Pleasant, William Geiger Sr., Cumberland, Md., Mary K. Paul and husband Carl, Frostburg, Md., Linda Bond and husband John, Frostburg, and Judith Ann Wolf, Cumberland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Geiger was of the Protestant faith. He was a member of the Everett Happy Senior Citizens. He was a social member of the American Legion and the Bedford Moose.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

JACK D. BEAL
FRIEDENS, Pa. - Jack Darrel "Herk" Beal, 67, of Friedens, formerly of Somerset, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999.
Born March 17, 1932, in Boynton, he was the fourth child of the late Robert Fay Sr. and Margaret Marie (Fleigle) Beal. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Ann (Shearer) Beal and a son, Jack Darrel Beal Jr.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Darlene Ann (Steele) Beal; two daughters, Denise Ann Jacobs and husband Frank J., Somerset, and Nancy Diane Bodner and husband T. Jason, Brewer, Me.; two grandchildren, Zebulon Michael Holliday, Davidsville, and Christa Leigh Holliday, Somerset; one brother, Robert Fay Beal Jr., Hollidaysburg; and three sisters, Norma Ross, Somerset, Donna Lisha, Boynton, and Arlene Green, Springs.
Mr. Beal was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Somerset where he served as an usher, Meyersdale Masonic Lodge #554 F&AM;, Altoona Consistory, Jaffe Shrine, Somerset Sunshine Club, a board member of Somerset County Shrine Club, life member and post commander of American Legion Post #180, member of Traffic and Transportation Club of Pittsburgh and various other traffic clubs, the Western PA Motor Carriers Safety Council, first governor of Somerset Moose Lodge #973, and past member of the Somerset Country Club.
Friends will be received at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held in the Trinity Lutheran Church on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert L. Hoover Jr., the Rev. H. James Meyers and the Rev. David Fetter officiating.
Interment will be in the Salisbury-Elk Lick cemetery.

HYNDMAN, Pa. - John Patrick Beals, 26, of Hyndman, died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born Sept. 28, 1972, in Cumberland, he was a son of Rholand 'Ronnie' M. and Judith Ann (Merkel) Beals of Hyndman.
A brother, Rholand Jr. and wife, Pamela; a sister, Barbara Ryan and husband, Juan; and very special nieces Kayla and Megan, all of Hyndman, survive Mr. Beals.
Mr. Beals is a partner of Beals Lumber Company and Sons, and a member of the Kennells Mill Sportsman's Club.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Wednesday, April 28, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, April 29, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Herbst officiating.

GLENN A. BITTNER
MEYERSDALE, Pa. - Glenn A. Bittner, 87, of Meyersdale and Rawlings, Md., died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at the Meyersdale Medical Center.
Born Sept. 26, 1912, in Meyersdale, he was the son of the late Edgar A. and Clara (Wright) Bittner. He also was preceded in death by his wife, the former Eva Elizabeth Kiser; one sister, Oda M. Bittner; and one brother, Claude Bittner.
Surviving are two sons, Robert G. Bittner and wife Maureen Morrissey, Virginia Beach, Va., and Joseph E. Bittner and wife JoAnn Artino, East Hartford, Conn.; two grandchildren, Joy and Joshua; one brother, Ross E. Bittner, Corriganville, Md.; and three sisters, Beulah Conlon, Cumberland, Kathryn Rembold, Meyersdale, and Fern Rank, Milton, W.Va.
Mr. Bittner was a member of Saint John's United Methodist Church. He was a retired airline pilot for Capital and United Airlines.
Friends will be received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted there Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Craig Lyman officiating.
Interment will be in the Saint John's (Temple) cemetery, Meyersdale.
