Ida M. Schweikert, 99, of Orwigsburg Center Orwigsburg., passed away at 8:30 PM, Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008 Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg, PA. She was formerly of Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania
Born in Port Carbon, PA January 17, 1909 she was the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Umbenhauer Wesner. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Schuylkill Haven. She worked in local garment factories until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband Russell C. Schweikert in 1965.
A grandson: Bryan Jacoby preceded him in death.
Four brothers six sisters preceded her in death also.
Three Daughters survive: Rosalie A. Jacoby of Schuylkill Haven, PA; Elizabeth Morgan, Brentwoood, CA; Margaret Brunwin, Walnut Creek, CA.
One sister survives: Ludy May Hughes, Salem, Ohio.
Surviving are 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren & one great great granddaughter, Nieces & Nephews.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Violet Grant Derr, 89, of 13 W. Center Street Ashland., passed away Sunday,
April 27th, 2008 at the Pottsville Hospital, Pottsville, PA.
Born in Ashland, PA July 17, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Violet
(Korn) Boyer. She was a lifelong member of Zion's Reformed United Church of Christ in Ashland, PA. Graduated from Ashland High School Class of 1936.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ashland Chapter. She worked for 30 years at Reidler Knitting Mills in Ashland until retirement.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Woodrow W. Grant and her second husband Leslie W. Derr.
Preceding her in death were two sisters three brothers: Elizabeth Metzinger, Mary Edna Knowlton, Arthur W. Boyer, Calvin Boyer, & Robert Boyer.
Surviving are a son: Rev. David husband of Susan Grant of Tamaqua, PA.
Surviving are two grandchildren: David L Grant and Susan E. Martin.
Seven great grandchildren Nieces & Nephews survive.
Memorial Service will be held at Zion's Reformed United Church of Christ, Ashland, PA, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 3, 2008. Visitation Saturday 9:00-10:00 AM in
Zion's Reformed U C C, Ashland.

Helen O. Seybrecht, 98, a lifelong resident of Ashland, PA passed away Sunday, April 27th, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Elmira, New York.
Born in Philadelphia, PA May 26, 1909 she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Parkhill Oestreich. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Ashland where she sang in the Church Choir until she was well up into her 90's.
Helen dedicated her life to her family and her church. She had a green thumb and could make anything grow coaxing the plants with her words of encouragement.
Mrs. Seybrect was a role model for family and friends and had a strong faith. She loved animals and always had a dog.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Seybrecht in 1996. They were married
for 66 years.
Surviving are two sons, one daughter: Albert husband of Marian Seybrecht, Joppa, MD; Ronald husband of Cyd Seybrecht, Cooper City, Florida; and Lois wife of Charles Grund, Elmira, New York.
Grandchildren: Gretchen & Ed Wiegand, Boulder, Co.; Greg & Michele Grund, Elmira, N.Y.; Gail & Dave Perrin, Boulder, Co.; Scott & Gina Seybrect, Conowingo, Md.; Stacy & Chip Wanek, Forest Hill, Md.; Sherry Seybrect & Tim Culver of Abingdon, Md.; and Kristy & Paul Carew, Wesley Chapel, Florida.
Great grandchildren; Teale Wiegand Darnell; Briana, Ricky, Scott, Austin, Jasmine, Sierra, and Aiden.

Lucille Flick, 99, of Gordon, PA. passed away Tuesday, April 29th, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Gordon, PA
Born in Westborough, Ohio March 24, 1909 she was the daughter of the late
John and Dollie Foster Lucas. She was active as one of Jehovah's Witnesses all her life and a member of the Pattersonville Congregation.
She was preceded in death by her husband German C. Flick in 1973.
A sister Alice Balzer preceded her in death and two brothers: Charles & John Lucas
preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter Linda wife of Daniel Kessler of Gordon, PA.
A granddaughter survives: Tamara wife of Gregory Fetterolf, Lavelle, PA.
Nieces & Nephews survive.

Raymond L. Frisch, 80, a lifelong resident of Ashland passed away Friday, May 2nd, 2008 at St. Catherine Medical Center, Ft. Springs, PA.
Born in Ashland, PA December 10, 1927 he was the son of the late Louis and Emma (Trathen) Frisch. He was a United States Army Veteran. Member of the Good Fellowship Club, Ashland; Washington Fire Company, Ashland and the American Legion Post of Ashland. He worked at Tri State Envelope Corp. in Ashland until retiring in 1988.
Preceding him in death was a Sister Theresa Noon in 1985.
Surviving are a brother and a sister: Charles Frisch of Ashland and Mary Wagner of Hegins, PA.
Cousins, Nieces and Nephews survive.

Born in Mahanoy City, PA May 31, 1915 she was the daughter of the late August and Sophia Yankowski. She was of the Catholic Faith. Worked at Ashland Shirt Corporation for many years until retirement.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Maxie Smarr and her second husband Ernest Rasmussen.
Preceding her in death: a son Maxmillion Smarr and daughter Eunice McAndrew.

Amil J. Bielarski, 86, of Oakland Ave. Ashland, PA
died Thursday, May 10th, 2007 at Broad Mt. Manor Nursing Center, Frackville, PA
Amil was born in Baxter, West Virginia on January 7, 1921. He was one of eleven children and the son of the late Jacob ad Nora ( Wrazien ) Bielarski.
On May 22, 1948, he married
the former Mary ( Mamie ) Bonish, who preceded him in death on February 10, 1993.
He resided in Ashland all his life. Amil was an avid reader of medical books and enjoyed researching alternative therapies throughout most of his life. He also loved Deep-Sea Fishing off the coast of New Jersey. Amil was a member of the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
He graduated in 1939 from Ashland High School where he played football and received three college scholarships which he forfeited to help support his family. During his earlier years,
He was a disabled veteran of World War I I having served in the United States Army Air Corps in both England and the South Pacific. He was also a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Union..
He was an Independent Coal Miner most of his life. In the later part of his career,
he was employed by the Locust Gap Colliery where he retired in 1980.
Surviving are two daughters: Diane ( Bielarski ) Spokus, of Lewistown, PA.;
Gail ( Bielarski ) Krause, of Ashland, PA.. A son preceded him death:
Mark Bielarski died 12-19-2006.
Six grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive.
One brother survives; Edward Bielarski, Maryland; Florence McGee of Parkridge, New Jersey; Violet Charnick, Mt. Ephraim, New Jersey, and Irene Schrader of New Jersey. Nieces & Nephews survive.
Preceding him in death four brothers: Jacob, Anthony, Stanley, and Theodore Bielarski.
