Grace H. Hepler, 76, of 613 Fountain Street, Ft. Springs, PA. passed away Saturday, December 22nd, 2007 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.
Born in Ft. Springs, PA August 9, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Cyral and Marion (White) Hepler. She graduated from Butler Twp. High School in 1949; School of Cosmetology, Pittsburgh, PA and later operated a beauty shop in Frackville for 25 years. She was a graduate of Marywood College, Wilkes-Barre, PA then worked for the Pennsylvania Dept. of Unemployment Compensation for 25 years until retirement. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Retirement Association. She attended the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Mt. Carmel, PA.
One sister survives: Ruth Hepler, of Ft. Springs, PA.
An aunt survives: Ruth Hepler Schmidt, Wyncote, PA
Cousins survive.
Funeral Services will be held at Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 27, 2007. Rev. Joan Brown officiating.
Interment at Christ Church cemetery, Ft. Springs, PA.
Visitation Wednesday 6:00-8:00 PM. from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland and Thursday 10:00 - 11:00 AM from the Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the First Congregational U. C. C., South
Market St., Mt. Carmel, PA 17851. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA is in charge of arrangements.

Robert T. Brecker Sr., 84, of 1038 Walnut Street Ashland. passed away Thursday, December 27th, 2007 at Old Orchard Manor Care, Easton, PA.
Born in Ashland, PA August 1, 1923 he was the son of the late Charles and Annie
(Meyer) Brecker. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Ashland where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a United States Marine World War I I Veteran. He was a Life Member of the V.F.W. Post No. 7654, Ashland, PA where he was a Past Commander; American Legion Post of Ashland; Life Member of the
Fr. Butler Knights of Columbus; and a member of the Democratic Party of Schuylkill County. He was last employed for Shaw Plastic Corp., Stroudsburg, PA until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Grady) Brecker in 1996.
Preceding him in death was a son: Robert T. Jr. in 1980.
Preceding him in death were four brothers: Leo, Francis, Charles, &
Harold (Mickey) Brecker.
Surviving are three Daughters one son: James T, Brecker, of Houston, TX.
Karen Penney, of Bushkill, PA.; Peggy Anne Brecker, of Ashland, PA. and
Mary Dot Ravert, of Saylorsburg, PA.
Lady and Harry Potter, his two favorite pets survive.
Four grandsons, two great granddaughters, Nieces & Nephews survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Joseph's Church, Ashland, PA, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 29th, with Rev. Adam C. Sedar officiating.
Interment in St. Joseph's cemetery, Ashland, PA.
Visitation Saturday 9:00-10:30 AM from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland.

Daris C. Hosler, 97, formerly of 608 Center St., Ashland, PA died at Schuylkill Center Pottsville. Monday, January 7th, 2008
Born in Ashland, PA January 19, 1910 she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Clara ( Scheaffer ) Bracey. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Ashland. She graduated from Ashland High School Class of 1927. After high school she attended and attained her Masters Degree from Bucknell University
in 1931.
She taught at M M I, Freeland, PA where she taught Latin until retirement.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ashland Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Rev. George Hosler in 1985..
Two brothers survive: Elwood Bracey, of Winter Park, FL., Thomas Bracey, of Taylor, PA.
Nieces and Nephews survive.
Funeral Service will be held at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA, 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 10th, with Rev. Dana Heckman-Beil officiating.
Interment at Christ Church cemetery Ft. Springs, PA.
Visitation Thursday 10:00-11:00 AM. from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home,

Martha Petrusky, 77, of 1801 Walnut Street, Ashland. passed away Friday, January 18th, 2008 at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Pottsville, PA.
Born in Catawissa, PA December 15, 1930 she was the daughter of the late
John and Bertha ( Fago ) Litchko. She was a member of St. Peter & Paul Church,
Mt. Carmel, PA. Working for many years in local Garment factories until her retirement. She was a member of the Amalgamated Garment Workers Union.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda wife of Thomas Tloczynski of Mt. Carmel, PA.
a son, Thomas husband of Juanita Petrosky of Elysburg, PA.
Three grandchildren survive: Thomas, Kara, and Ryan.
Her dear companion survives: Harold Hammer, Minersville, PA.
She is survived by three brothers, three sisters:
Julie Fedako, of Ashland, PA., Theresa Banic, of Ohio., Elizabeth Walters, of Brignigsville, PA.
Wesley Litchko, of Ashland, PA., Nicholas Litchko, of Burnsville, PA., John Litchko, of Ashland, PA.
Preceding her in death were three brothers, three sisters: George, Joseph, & Michael Litchko; Bertha Uroskie, Mary Litwin, & Dorothy Cugusi.
Nieces & Nephews survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Peter & Paul Church,
Mt. Carmel, at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. A Prayer Service Monday
7:30 PM in the Funeral Home.
Interment at St. Mary's cemetery, Centralia, PA. Visitation Monday 6:00-8:00 PM. at Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland and Tuesday 8:15 to 9:30 from the Kull-
Heizenroth Funeral Home in Ashland.

Belle Miller, 100, formerly of Lavelle, Ashland, & Harrisburg, PA passed away Sunday, January 20th, 2008 in Titusville, FL.. She was currently a resident at Sands Point Senior Living Center, Titusville, FL
Born in Lavelle, PA February 4, 1907 she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Ida E. ( Hepler ) Keller. She was a former member of Christ Evangelical Congregational. Church, Lavelle, PA. She last worked for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board in Harrisburg, PA until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl H. Miller in 1946.
Preceding her in death were eight brothers and sisters: Breight, Nell, Walter, Harlold, Loretta, Kenneth, Forrest, and Anna.
Nieces and Nephews survive.
Graveside services will be held in Christ Church cemetery, Fountain Springs, PA at the convenience of the family. Kull- Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA is in charge of arrangements.

Alfred "Toppy" C. Lucas Sr., 75, of 442 Main Street Lavelle. passed away peacefully surrounded by his Wife & Family Thursday, January 24th, 2008 at his residence.
Born in Lavelle, PA September 9, 1932 he was the son of the late Charles and Carrie ( Kukuk ) Lucas. He was a member of Christ United Lutheran Church, Airport Rd., Ashland, PA. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in Korea in the Third Division as a Sergeant. He was a Life Member of the Lavelle Amvets No. 156, Lavelle, PA. He worked for many years as a mine foreman and on construction until his retirement. He also enjoyed woodworking.
Preceding him in death was a son Dean, died in 1977 and a grandson William Miller died in 2005.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Marlene (Deeter) Lucas, Lavelle, PA
Surviving are four sons four daughters:
Sandra wife of William Miller, Ashland; Alfred Lucas Jr., Lavelle, PA; Ralph Lucas
Germanville, PA; Gail Zerby, Germanville, PA; Mike husband of Eva, Mowry, PA;
Sheila wife of Robert Dengler, Taylorsville, PA; Lisa wife of Charles Johnson, Lavelle, PA; and Randy husband of Angie, Lavelle, PA.
Three sisters, one brother survive: Blanche Carl, Gordon, PA; Ruth Zeller, Gordon, PA; & Helen Cuthie, Girardville, PA. Brother: Charles Lucas, Mowry, PA
One brother, one sister preceded him in death: Kathryn Morgan, Willard Lucas.
Twenty (20) grandchildren Fourteen (14) great grandchildren Nieces & Nephews
Religious Service will be held at Christ United Lutheran Church, Airport Road. Ashland, PA, at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 28th, with Rev. Robert Hoenich officiating. Interment at Citizens cemetery, Lavelle, PA.

MERRE G. GABLE, 90, OF CAMP HILL, FORMERLY OF GORDON, PA, DIED TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2008 AT THE HARRISBURG HOSPITAL, HARRISBURG, PA.
SHE WAS BORN APRIL 25, 1917 IN GORDON, DAUGHTER OF IDA E. (GREEN) AND MONROE R. KIMMEL. SHE WAS PRECEEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND OF 62 YEARS, HENRY J. GABLE SR. IN 1998, A SON, HENRY J. GABLE, JR. IN 1984, A GRANDDAUGHTER HOLLY M GABLE AND THREE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, JARRED, KIRSTEN AND CHELSEA BROWN.
SHE WAS A LIFE LONG RESIDENT OF GORDON, ATTENDED GORDON SCHOOL AND WAS A MEMBER OF ST. PAUL’S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, GORDON AND THE GORDON SENIOR CITIZENS GROUP.
