Jennie L. Clark, 55, of Line Drive, Hegins, PA. passed away Friday, December 12th, 2008 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA.
Born in Gordon, PA November 18, 1953 she was the daughter of the Ethel (Smith) Hoffman, of Gordon, PA and the late Lester Hoffman. She was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School Class of 1971. She helped at the Gordon Area Food Pantry and was an avid Base Fiddle Player and loved to crochet.
Surviving are her husband Stephen Clark of Hegins, PA
One daughter- two sons survive: Maryellen and her companion Thomas Stehr, Hegins, PA; Stephen husband of Johnna, Hegins, PA; and John and his companion Bronwen of Shamokin, PA
One sister - one brother survive: Jane Hoffman of Gordon, PA; Lester husband of Valory Hoffman of Newton, Kansas.
Two sisters preceded her in death: Mabel, 2005 and Jean Louise, 1947.
Seven grandchildren Nieces & Nephews survive.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Bethany E.C. Church in Ashland, PA. Rev. Daniel DeSchoolmeester officiating.
Interment in Christ Church cemetery, Fountain Springs, PA.

Kenneth A. Spencer Jr., 60, of Meadowview Drive Selinsgrove, PA. went to his heavenly home Wednesday, December 17th, 2008 at his residence. He had been a resident of Selinsgrove for nearly 4 years and previously lived at 1806 Market Street in Ashland, PA.
Born in Columbus, GA August 21, 1948 he was the son of the late Kenneth A. and Ruth (Heizenroth) Spencer. He Graduated from Ashland High School Class of 1966
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War wounded in action he received a Purple Heart. He was a member of the Ashland Elks B P O E 384;
V. F. W. Post of Ashland and the American Legion Post of Ashland. Kenneth was of the Christian Faith and was loving, caring, and generous to his family & friends. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of the Good Fellowship Club in Ashland. He enjoyed baseball, football, and spending time with family & friends. Kenneth had an excellent sense of humor & always thought of everyone else before himself. He enjoyed bowling, golf, & pilot lessons.
He was self employed as a Title Abstractor/Landman for oil and gas companies for many years.
Three sisters- one brother survive:
Donna wife of David Shipe of Millville, PA., Lucille Dunleavy of Ashland, PA., Jo A.
wife of Ben Weirick of Selinsgrove, PA.
Brother: Ronald L. husband of Melinda Spencer of Ashland, PA.
Nieces & Nephews survive.
Funeral Service will be held at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA, 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 23, 2008. Rev. Thomas Krampert officiating.
Interment at Indiantown Gap National cemetery Annville, PA.
Visitation Monday evening 6:00-8:00 P.M. and Tuesday 10:00-11:00 AM from the

Helen T. Cannon, 89, of 904 Spruce Street, Ashland, PA passed away Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 in Ashland.
Born in Philadelphia, PA April 28, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Peter and Margaret O'Brien Leinenbach. She was a member of St. Mauritius Church in Ashland. Worked as a cook at the Ashland State Hospital and later at the Ft. Springs Country Club in Ft. Springs until retiring. She attended Ashland High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Cannon in 1981 and also her son
Thomas P. Cannon in 1999.
A daughter survives: Eileen wife of John O'Donnell of Ashland, PA.
Daughter in law Carol Cannon survives and six grandchildren:
Andrea wife of Ryan Brennan, Feasterville, PA; Edward O'Donnell, Ashland;
Colleen Cannon, Ashland; John O'Donnell, Ashland; Patrick O'Donnell, Ashland; and Joseph O'Donnell, Ashland.
A Memorial Mass will be held from St. Mauritius Church, Ashland, PA, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 10th, with Rev. John W. Bambrick officiating.
Interment at St. Joseph's cemetery Ft. Springs, , PA. Visitation Saturday 9:00-10:00 AM from St. Mauritius Church in Ashland. Memorial contributions can be made to

Ruth G. Schmidt, 87, of 1245 Church Road Wyncote. passed away Thursday, January 8th, 2009 at Hillcrest Center in Wyncote, PA
Born in Ashland, PA January 26, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude Beck Hepler. She graduated from Ashland High School Class of 1939 and Ashland School of Nursing. She worked for many years as a Register Nurse at the Sunbury General Hospital, Sunbury, PA until her retirement. She was of the Methodist Presbyterian Church in Ashland and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Schmidt in 2000.
Preceding her in death were six brothers: Cyral; Harold; Jack; Alfred; Frank; & Lawrence Hepler. A sister Helene also preceded her in death.
Nieces & Nephews survive.
Funeral Service at Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA, at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 12th, 2009.
Interment at Christ Church cemetery Ft. Springs, PA.

Wanieta M. Weinreich, 83, a guest at Broad Mt. Manor Nursing Center, Frackville. passed away Sunday, January 11th, 2009 at Broad Mt. Manor in Frackville, PA.
Born in Ashland, PA April 25, 1925 she was the daughter of the late David and Sarah (Martz) Fetterolf She attended Lavelle Schools.
She attended Lavelle Schools, was a member of the Barry E.C. Church, worked at local garment factories and last worked at the Friendly Nursing Home in Pitman until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Weinreich in 1989.
A son preceded her in death Paul Weinwreich in August of 2008.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons:
Holly Bolich; Sherry Martin; Sandy Marlow; Gary Weinreich, Wayne Weinreich,
all living in Lavelle, PA.
One sister survives: Ida Heim, Shamokin, PA
Four brothers- one sister preceded her in death:
Elwood, Lewis, Paul, Herb Fetterolf and Viola Bolich preceded her in death.
12 grandchildren 20 great grandchildren Nieces & Nephews survive.

Christ United Lutheran Church, Airport Road, Ashland, PA.

George E. Strohecker Jr., 76 of Folly Road, Chalfont, PA passed away Saturday,
January 10th, 2009 at Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington, PA.
Born in Barry Twp., December 28, 1932 he was the son of the late George and
A. Valeria (Beury) Strohecker. He attended Barry Twp. Schools and graduated from Hegins High School class of 1950. He worked as a test technician for SPS Technologies and later Yale Fork Lifts until his retirement. He was a United States Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Green) Strohecker in 2006.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Olive Love & Sarah Herb.
Surviving are are two sons: David R. husband of Sharon Strohecker, Hatboro, PA and Daniel G. husband of Karen Strohecker of Chalfont, PA.
Two sisters, one brother survives: Ella Mae Schwalm, Hatboro, PA; Betty Herb,
Baltimore, Md.; and James Strohecker, Centre Square, PA.
Five (5) grandchildren survive Nieces & Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, Jan. 16, 2009 at 12:00 Noon from St. Johns U.C.C., Barry Twp., PA. Interment in Kimmels cemetery, Barry Twp.

RICKY DIETRICK, 28, 7 South 19th Street, Ashland, PA died Tuesday in
Centralia, PA.
Born in Ashland, PA July 30, 1978 he was the son of Lewis and Lynn (Stabler)
Dietrick of Ashland. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church,
Ashland. Attended North Schuylkill High School and was currently working for
Wolfgang Hauling.
In addition to his parents surviving are a son: Garrett and his mother Jasmine Soto
of Fountain Springs, PA.
Three brothers, one sister survive:
Lewis J. Dietrick Jr., Ashland; Brian Dietrick, Ashland; Kevin Dietrick, Plainfield, Ill.;
and Denise wife of Scott Brennan of Orwigsburg, PA..
Nieces survive.
Memorial Services will be held Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 8:00 P. M. from the Kull-
Heizenroth Funeral Home in Ashland. Rev. Dana Heckman-Beil officiating.

Regester, James W.
Air Force

James W. Regester, age 88, of Quarryville and formerly of Aston, PA. Died Monday, October 4, 2010 at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community of Quarryville, PA. Born July 24, 1922 in West Grove, PA, the son of the late Earl and the late Emma (Parke) Regester.

He had been a resident of Aston before moving to Quarryville 4 years ago.

Graduate Kennett Square High School Class of 1939

Veteran of the US Army Air Force as a Technical Sergeant and Radio Operator. He flew 33 missions in Northern Europe and England during World War II.

Mr. Regester was employed by duPont de Nemours and Company, Wilmington, Delaware, as a Lab Technician.

Mr. Regester was a member of Faith Reform Presbyterian Church, Quarryville, PA

Former member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Concordville, where he served as an Elder and Sunday School Teacher.

He was a man devoted to his home and family.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sara Jane (Bigger) Regester; One Daughter: Judith Rinker of West Virginia; Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by his first wife Marian Rothwell Regester wo died in 1974 and son James Regester.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Memorial Service 10:45 a.m. Friday at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community, 625 Robert Fulton Hwy., Quarryville, PA 17566-1400.

INTERMENT: Graveside Service and Interment 2:30 p.m. Friday in Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA.

MEMORIAL GIFTS: Contributions in memory of James Regester may be given to Faith Reform Presbyterian Church, 611 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA 17566; or Hospice of Lancaster County, 695 Goode Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
