Elizabeth Catherine Wilhelm, 90, of Dock Terrace, Lansdale, Pa., died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000. She was a daughter of the late Frank H. and Sara E. (Stough) Trauger. Born and raised in McKeesport, she also resided in Irwin, Pittsburgh, and Indiana, Pa. She was last employed in student life at Indiana University of Pennsylvania , where she worked until her retirement in 1976. Surviving are two daughters , Fayette Ridilla of Snohomish, Wash., and Rebecca Kriebel of North Wales, Pa., and Cape May, N.J.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Her husband, John, preceded her in death, as did her sister, Genevieve. She enjoyed a variety of activities including painting, archery, fishing, travel, and baking. Mostly she shared her love unconditionally with her family and with her many friends. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 6:30 p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446, where she was a member for the last 10 years. Memorial contributions may be made to the above church's Building Fund.

Charles F. "Andy" Anderson, 88, of Hershey, Dauphin County, formerly of Red Lion, York County, and Greensburg, died at 8:24 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at his residence. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Josephine (Flinchbaugh) Anderson of Hershey; a sister, Helen Kosylo of Greensburg; and two nephews, Bradley G. Flinchbaugh of Hanover and Dawson E. Flinchbaugh of York Haven. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery, York. Constance E. Blanciak, 50, of North Vandergrift, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, in her residence. Born Oct. 2, 1949, in Natrona Heights, she was a daughter of Julia Minarcin Blanciak and the late Stephen Blanciak, and had lived in the Kiski Valley all her life. She was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Vandergrift. Ms. Blanciak was a graduate of Kiski Area High School, Class of 1967, and had been a swimming coach for Kiski School of Aquatics. Additionally, she graduated from Penn State University, the St. Francis School of Nursing and Carlow College, both in Pittsburgh. She had been employed as a registered nurse at the Westmoreland Regional Hospital in Greensburg. Survivors include her mother , Julia Blanciak, with whom she made her home; a brother, Mark Blanciak of Long Island, N.Y.; six sisters , Mrs. Steve (Vickie) Filo of Vandergrift, Mrs. Ray (Tina) Bartha of Apollo, Mrs. Steve (Anne) Kanas of Allegheny Township, Mrs. Mike (Mary) Spagnolo of Lower Burrell, Mrs. Daniel (Ellen) Porter of North Vandergrift and Mrs. Patrick (Jane) Hirsch of Sewickley; 13 nephews; and six nieces. In addition to her Father , she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ambrose and Anna Blanciak; and her maternal grandparents, Mary and Martin Minarcin Sr. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. SUNDAY in the DUNMIRE-KERR FUNERAL HOME, A Golden Rule Member, 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. George J. Cook III, 27, of Orlando, Fla., died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000. Born in Greensburg, he was a son of Carol and George Cook Jr. of Chuluota, Fla. He moved to Central Florida in 1984 from Jeannette. He was a tree surgeon and was a member of the Oviedo Goodtimers Bowling League. He was Catholic by faith. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Lori Cook of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Kailee Renee Cook at home; two brothers , Daniel and Adam Cook, both of Chuluota, Fla.; his maternal grandparents, Paul and Sally DeGolia of Lady Lake, Fla., and John and Kay Moff of Jeannette; and his paternal grandmother, Ruth Cook Oshinsky of North Huntington. Gladys Dunhoff, 81, of Latrobe, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Oct. 6, 1918, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Phillip and Bessie (Levin) Poster. Gladys had been a co-owner of the Weiss Furniture Store in Latrobe. She was a member of the Beth Israel Synagogue, the Beth Israel Sisterhood, the Latrobe Civic Club, and was a very active volunteer for the Latrobe Area Hospital Aid Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Dunhoff, in 1995; a sister, Freda Weiss; and a brother, Leonard Poster. She is survived by her three children, David A. Dunhoff and wife, Susan, of Pittsburgh, Richard I. Dunhoff and wife, Dalia, of Unity Township, and Diane Dunhoff DeMaio and husband, Barry, of Alexandria, Va.; six grandchildren, Steven, Deidra, Adam, Hayley and Michele Dunhoff and Paul DeMaio; her brother, Milton Poster of Mt. Pleasant; and her sister, Norma Shapiro of Latrobe. Donald W. "Buck" Giles, age 13, accidentally on Wednesday, August 9, 2000, of Holiday Park, Plum Boro. Born on July 9, 1987 to Donald T. Jr. and Cherie (Alcorn) Giles. Brother of Chelsea; grandson of Donald T. Sr. and Patricia (Botti) Giles and Donald and Mary Dee Alcorn. Great-grandson of James and Louise Botti and Oddie and Dorothy Thomas. Active member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. He loved dirt bikes, working with heavy equipment, fishing and was an eighth grade student at O'Block Jr. High School. Buck was an outstanding son and brother, with strong faith and strong love. Sister Ann Gilliam

Sister Ann Gilliam, also known by her religious name, Sister Mary Hubert, 83, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, in the infirmary of the sisters of Divine Providence, McCandless. A graduate of Divine Providence Academy, Sister Ann entered the community of the sisters of Divine Providence in 1934 from St. Peter's parish in Washington , D.C. She received a bachelor's degree in education from Duquesne University and became an elementary school teacher. She taught in schools in the Pittsburgh and Altoona Dioceses, including St. Anne's in Castle Shannon, St. Joseph's in Duquesne, St. Mary's in Beaver Falls, St. Mary's in Glenshaw and St. Alphonsus in Springdale. She also taught at Toner Institute from 1949 to 1953 and from 1960 to 1962. In 1977, Sister Ann retired from teaching and became a companion to a woman she met at St. Anne's parish in Castle Shannon. In subsequent years, Sister Ann took care of several elderly women. In 1995, Sister Ann retired to the Provincial House in McCandless. At that time, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and eventually moved into the infirmary. She enjoyed art and music. Survivors include a sister, Margaret Tippy of Marysville, Wash., and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthias and Teresa Korr Gilliam; seven brothers , Carl, Edmund, Henry, Frank, Albert, Hubert and Matthias; and four sisters , Catherine, Marie, Gertrude and Theresa. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Monday at the sisters of Divine Providence Provincial House, 9000 Babcock Blvd., McCandless. Christian Funeral Mass will be at 4 p.m. Monday in the Provincial House Chapel. Burial will be in the community's cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Sister Ann's name to the sisters of Divine Providence Ministries Fund.

Roger Henry Kersten, 61, of Washington Township, died Thursday, August 10, 2000 in UPMC Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born August 1, 1939, in New Kensington, he lived in Washington Township the past 10 years, and was previously a Holiday Park, Plum, resident. He was employed for 22 years by U.S. Steel in Homestead. He later worked for National School Bus where he drove Access Vans for the handicapped and elderly. Mr. Kersten was a member of Pittsburgh East Full Gospel Church, Plum. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Regina Fernstein Kersten; a son, Joseph Kersten of Monroeville; two daughters , Lori L. Kistler, and Mrs. Gary (Denise R.) Woodring both of Vandergrift; a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Eleanor) Chovan of Leavittsburg, Ohio; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers , Norman, Richard, and Henry "Butch" Kersten; and his parents, Henry and Eleanor Risko Kersten. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 12, from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, August 13, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., a family owned funeral home, 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. His pastor, the Rev. Ronald G. Nadeau will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Full military honors will be accorded.
