Raeburn K. Fisk
Raeburn K. Fisk, 84, of Bethlehem formerly of Hellertown, Pa. and Barberton, Ohio died Mar. 4, 2003 at the VNA Hospice at St. Luke’s Fountain Hill, Pa.
He was the husband of the late Jean E. (Doles) Fisk.
Mr. Fisk was born in Hunter, N.D. to the late Warren C. and Ruby )Knudtson) Fisk.
He was an Automotive Parts salesman in Barberton and Akron, Ohio areas until retiring in 1981.
He served in the United States Air Force during WWII.
He is survived by three sons, Robert R. of Barberton, Ohio, Jody L. of Clinton, Ohio, and Kevin D. of Akron, Ohio; one daughter, Janelle J. with whom he resided; one brother, Wilbert of Florissant, Mo.; one sister, Joyce Folk of Kissimee, Fla.; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were private and at the convenience of the family. Interment was at the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.

Pauline E. Christman
Pauline E. Christman, 85, of Lower Macungie Twp. formerly of Slatedale, died Mar. 6, 2003 at the Lehigh Center Genesis Elder Care.
She was the wife of the late Albert S. Christman, Sr.
She was born in Washington Twp., Lehigh County, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Nancy C. (Weiss) Hess.
Until her retirement Mrs. Christman was a cook at the Swain School in Bethlehem Twp.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald R. of Bethlehem, Donald L. of Allentown, Clarence F. of Hellertown; one daughter, Nancy J. Muth of Walnutport; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one daughter, Janet L. Sterner and one son, Albert S. Christman, Jr.
Funeral services were held Mar. 10. Interment was in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Allentown, Pa.

Verna V. Fluck
Verna V. Fluck, 77, of Fountain Hill, formerly of Hellertown died Mar. 8, 2003 at the VNA Hospice at St. Luke’s, Fountain Hill.
She was the wife of LeRoy A. Fluck. They were married
for 59 years.
Born in Lower Saucon Twp., she was the daughter of the late William and Naomi (Strock) Strauss.
She was a self employed Beautician for 7 years.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Springfield Twp., Pleasant Valley.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Cynthia L. Fulmer of Hellertown, and Kathleen L. Schiavone of Catasaqua; eight sisters, Grace Ruch of Hellertown, Ruth Moyer of Quakertown, Dorothy Danecker of Perkasie, Florence Arena of Allentown, Eunice Hanselman of Quakertown, Betty Jane Shannon of Hellertown, Marjorie Map of Holmes, Pa., and Faye Wetzel of Souderton; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Mar. 11. Interment was in Union cemetery, Hellertown.

Neal G. Bergstresser
Neal G. Bergstresser, 80, of Columbia, Md., formerly of Edina, Minn. and Paris, France, died Mar. 6, 2003 at the Sinai Hospital, Baltimore, Md.
He was the husband of Annamae B. (Beidelman) Bergstresser. They were married
for 56 years.
Born in Hellertown, he was the son of the late Stanley E. and Florence S. (Grube) Bergstresser.
Prior to retiring in 1986 he was employed by Honeywell/General Electric for 39 1/2 years as a Financial Systems Executive.
He served with the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Center Valley, Pa.
He was a life member of the American Legion in Howard County. Md., Charter Member of the WWII Memorial in Washington, DC, Phi Alpha Theta Honor Fraternity for History, Lehigh University, Phi Beta Kappa Honor Fraternity, Lehigh University. He had a Bachelor of Science Degree from Lehigh University, a Master of Business Administration from Siena College in New York. He was also a Charter member of the Battle Ship Missouri Memorial, in Hawaii.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Carole A. of Falls Church, Va.; two sons, Lee R. of Easton, and Ray M. of Wyomissing; four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Mar. 11. Interment was in Union cemetery, Hellertown

George C. Cabak
George C. Cabak, 79, of Hellertown, died Mar. 8, 2003 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill, Pa.
He was the husband of the late Eloise (Strohl) Cabak.
Born in Hellertown, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Cuprich) Cabak.
Prior to retiring he was a laborer for the Bethlehem Steel Co. from 1942 until 1982.
He was a Navy veteran of WWII, where he served in the Pacific Theater.
He was a member of the Hellertown Democratic Club and the American Legion Post #397, Hellertown.
Mr. Cabak is survived by two sisters, Margaret Zettlemoyer of Allentown, and Ann Marie Mish of Hellertown. He was predeceased by four brothers, Michael, Stephen, Andrew, Joseph and two sisters, Elizabeth and Mary.
Services were held Mar. 10.

Virginia F. Heckman, 86, of Myerstown formerly of Emmaus and Coopersburg died Apr. 8, 2003 in E.C.C. Retirement Village, Myerstown.
She was the wife of the late Frank Heckman.
Born in Virginia Beach, Va. she was the daughter of the late Albert and Bertha (Crossen) Emrich.
Mrs. Heckman retired from the former Shernay Printing, Coopersburg, in 1984.
She was a member of St. Matthews Evangelical Congregational Church, Emmaus.
There were no immediate survivors.
Services were held Apr. 14.

Charles J. Szvetecz, 84, of Bethlehem died Apr. 2003 at his residence.
He was the husband of the late Mary S. (Bennish) Szvetecz.
Born in Bethlehem he was the son of the late John and Anna (Lancecsk) Szvetecz.
Mr. Szvetecz worked for the Union Steam Fitters Local 670, Allentown & Local 420 Philadelphia. Prior to that he worked for Bethlehem Steel.
He is survived by one son, Richard S. Szvetecz of Hellertown; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Services were held Apr. 12. Interment was in Holy Saviour cemetery, Bethlehem.

Verna G. Madison, 85, of Hellertown died Apr. 9, 2003 at the St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill, Pa.
She was the wife of the late Eugene A. Madison.
Born in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Addie (Weaver) Gerhab.
She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, of Hellertown.
In addition to being a housewife she volunteered at the Muhlenburg Thrift Shop, Bethlehem and was a member of the Muhlenburg Hospital Ladies Aux.
She is survived by one step-daughter Lorette Miller of Midlothian, Va; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren’ nieces and nephews.
Services were held Apr. 12. Interment was in Union cemetery, Hellertown.

Rosary V. “Rose” Munsch, 80, of Richlandtown, formerly of Hellertown died Apr. 8, 2003 at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville, Pa.
She was the wife of the late Walter G. Munsch.
Born in Allentown she was the daughter of the late William and Marguarite M. (Miller) Kistler.
Prior to retiring in 1997 she was a Crossing Guard for the Borough of Hellertown. Previously she worked at the former A & P in Hellertown.
She was a member of the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown where she had previously served on the Church’s Choir.
She was a former volunteer for the Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post #297, Hellertown, the Hellertown Little League, and a Den Mother for Hellertown Cub Pack #11.
She is survived by three sons, David B. of Wellsville, Pa, Timothy R. of Hellertown, and Jeffrey R. of Bear, Del.; one sister, Mary M. Mathias, of Hellertown; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Apr. 11. Interment was in Union cemetery, Hellertown.
