Romayne M. Horne, 94, of Latrobe, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, in the Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1905, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Robert and Estella (Miller) Seaton. She was a member of the Latrobe United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 221 of Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Horne, in 1972; an infant son, Robert; her son, Paul W. Horne, in 1991; her daughter-in-law, Patricia (Shaffer) Horne, in 1999; a brother, Robert Miller Seaton; and a sister, Margaret Zitterbart. She is survived by her grandson, John P. Horne, M.D., of Latrobe; two nieces, Nancy Evans and Penny Tranquilla; and a number of great-nieces and -nephews. Friends will be received at the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with her pastor, the Rev. Aimee W. Twigg, officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.

Jennie A. Kazusky, 78, of Trafford, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000. Loving wife of 57 years to Walter Kazusky; beloved mother of Mary Jo Solomon and her husband, John; grandmother of Heather Anne Solomon and John Walter Solomon and his wife, Ashley; also survived by three brothers , Edward, Anthony, and Frank Bugajski; and a sister, Mildred Petrini. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Johanna Bugajski; an infant son, Robert John Kazusky; three sisters , Mary Ruby, Pauline Raciborski, and Cecilia Bugajski; and three brothers , August, Charles, and Louis Bugajski. Jennie served as a Girl Scout leader and also as a lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and sang in the St. Regis Choir. Jennie was an avid writer, painter and musician. She won a first-place ribbon at the W.C.C. Artshow and once was a Zayre Correspondent of the Year. Friends are invited Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the DAVID A. Clyde A. Klingensmith, 86, of Stahlstown RD1, formerly of Jeannette, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at his residence. He was born in Ohio, Dec. 22, 1913, a son of the late James A. and Cleo Ream Klingensmith. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent of Jeannette and the Mended Hearts Association of Latrobe. Prior to his retirement in 1975, he had been employed by the former ITE Co. in South Greensburg for 20 years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Klingensmith; and a sister, Blanche Richmond. Surviving are his wife, Grace Buttermore Klingensmith; two sons , Ralph A. and his wife, Wanda, of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Mark A. and his wife, Kathy, of Jeannette; a daughter, Karen Bortz and her husband, Raymond, of Farmington; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the LAWRENCE J. McCLURE FUNERAL HOME, 112 N. Second St., Jeannette, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home chapel Saturday morning at 10:30 with Father Joseph Martin officiating. James H. Newmeyer, 78, of Vanderbilt, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at home. He was born Dec. 10, 1921, in Carrick. He was a 1940 graduate of Clairton High School. He served as a tech sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific during World War II. He graduated with a B.S. degree from St. Vincent College in 1949. He received a master's of education from the University of Pittsburgh in 1956. He was a retired Frazier High School teacher, where he also coached both junior and senior high football and taught driver's education. He played football for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1948 and the Philadelphia Eagles. He was awarded the 1997 Letterman of Distinction from St. Vincent College. He was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Perryopolis, VFW Post 07023 and the Sokol Hall. He was an avid golfer and belonged to several leagues. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice R. Newmeyer. He is survived by daughters , Pam Newmeyer and Susan McAninch, and son and daughter-in-law, James T. and Donna Newmeyer, all of Vanderbilt. A granddaughter, Noelle C. Smith, and two great-grandchildren, reside at Travis Air Force Base, California. A grandson, James H. Newmeyer II resides in Jeannette. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at St. John's Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. John Euker and the Rev. George Newmeyer as concelebrants. military honors, reception and wake will follow at Perryopolis Sokol Hall. He will be buried in the Gulf of Mexico. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Frazier High School Library, Perryopolis Heritage Society, Westmoreland Fayette Council Boy Scouts of America, or the Crime Victims Center of Uniontown.

Mary Pagnanelli, 82, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at St. Anne Home, Greensburg. She was born Oct. 3, 1917, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Michael and Sara George David. She was a housewife and a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Rego" Pagnanelli; a brother, Eziekel David; and a sister, Ann Riddell. She is survived by her children, Henry Pagnanelli of Dowingtown, Mrs. John (Mary Jo) Silvis of Greensburg, Joanne Pagnanelli of Pittsburgh, and Dr. David Pagnanelli of North Wells, Pa.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, John David of Latrobe; a sister, Christine Tornavacca; and several granddogs. Mansfield; beloved mother of Harriet Conrad (William), and William Mansfield (Margaret); sister of Harry Schrott of Florida and the late Robert, Lawrence, and William Schrott, and Betty Foster. Arthur H. Schultheiss, 53 died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at his home. Mr. Schultheiss was a self-employed architect. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects, Network Professional International, Small Business Association of North Hills, the Cranberry Chamber of Commerce, North Allegheny Chamber of Commerce and the Airport Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Schultheiss was on the directing board of the Lutheran University Center. Survivors include his wife Emily Ekonen Schultheiss; his mother , Euretta B. Schultheiss of Newark, Del.; two sisters , Euretta L. Schultheiss of Newark, Del., and Diane Schultheiss of Atlanta; and a brother, Charles R. Schultheiss of New York.
