ELIZABETH R. PONCHAK
Elizabeth R. Ponchak, age 65, of Erie, died Monday March 10, 2008 after a long battle with diabetes and kidney failure at St. Vincent Health Center. She was born in McKees Rocks, Pa. the daughter of the late Patsy and Mariangela TRIMARCHI. She loved spending time with her family especially her adoring grandchildren. She also loved cooking, baking and reading. She was a member of St. Julia's Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Antonia. Survivors include her loving husband Joseph Ponchak; three daughters: Karen; Michelle NUCCI and her husband Mike; Veronica YOUNG and her husband Brian; and her grandchildren; Kaija, Traecy, Dakoda, and Mirranda Young; step grandson Brian and foster grandchild Stephanie; Robert Nucci; Sarah, Joe, Mary and Lauren Graves; her brother Dominic and his wife Nancy; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends. . Friends may call at Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend services there on Saturday at 1:00.

JEAN D. VOJTECKY
On Mon. Nov. 19, 2001, Jean D., age 73, of Ingram; formerly of Stowe Twp, wife of the late William S.; beloved mother of Gary W. Vojtecky, Dee HALEY and Alan H. Vojtecky; sister of Dolores CARLSON. Friends received HERSHBERGER-STOVER INC., FUNERAL HOME 170 Noble Ave., Crafton on WED. 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Fri. at 10 am in Church of the Ascension, Ingram. Jean was a member of the Am. Legion Aux. Unit 145.

WALTER S. VRUSK
Age 83 of Moon Twp., on Saturday, March 18, 2000; beloved husband of Stella (FRONCZEK) Vrusk; father of Melissa and her husband David ANDERSON; brother of Sophie HOGAN, Wanda TORSO, Helen MOSS and Mildred BURKHART. No visitation. Burial will be private. A memorial service will be on Saturday, March 25, 2000, at 4 pm in the Coraopolis Kingdom Hall, 132 Morrow Rd., Hopewell Twp., PA 15001. BERTHA FALVO
83, formerly of McKees Rocks, Pa., passed away July 30, 2007. She was preceded in
death by her loving husband of 57 years, Mike, and son, Mike Jr., along with sister, Marfissa, and brothers, Albert and Dante ANGOTTI. She is survived by her daughter, Josephine, and husband, Roland, grandchildren, April, Jason and his wife, Brooke Martinez, as well as her sister, Beatrice, and brother, Felix Angotti, along with several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Roland and Jason Martinez, Tony and Gino Mazza, Santo Muti and David Macheski. The family will receive friends for visitation 6-9 p.m. Thursday August 3, 2007. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday August 4, 2007, at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, with interment at Sunset Memory Gardens. MARY FEDYSKI
Mary Fedyski, 93, of Brighton Township, died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in the Beaver Valley Geriatric Center. Born Jan. 28, 1906, in McKees Rocks, a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna MORSZYN BARNICK, she was a retired cook from St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, Rochester. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Monaca; Third Order of St. Francis, and the Christian Mothers of St. Cecilia. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George POSTUPAC; her second husband, Steve Fedyski; a son, Peter Postupac; a daughter, Anna Postupac; two sisters, Ann DIMERLING and Kate SIREY, and three brothers, Pete, Steve and Tom Barnick. Surviving are four daughters and two sons-in-law, Ann L. Postupac, Monaca; Helen Young, Rochester; Mary J. and Richard NICHOL, Monaca, and Patricia and Gary ANKNEY, Valrico, Fla.; a son, George Postupac, New Brighton; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, John and BYRL Barnick, Raymond, Wash., and three sisters, Helen MILLER, Norfolk, Va.; Julia KING, Northfield, Minn., and Louise HEFNER, St. Louis, Mo. Private services were held in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester. Interment followed in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to the Alzheimers Unit, Beaver Valley Geriatrric Center, Dutch Ridge Road, Beaver, Pa. 15009.

ANNA J.(DROZDA) FERRY
Age 96, of McKees Rocks, Kennedy Twp Went to the home of the Lord Peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2001; wife of the late William Ferry, Ernest HANKEY and Joseph KURTZ; beloved mother of Elizabeth HOFBAUER, Dorothy KOLLER and Beatrice KRALL and the late Joseph Kurtz; also survived by eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; also nieces and nephews. Anna was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW #418 for over 60 years. Visitation Thurs. Only 2-4 & 7-9 pm at SCHEPNER-MCDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Fri., in St. Malachy Church.

EARL B. FETTERS, 98, of 202 Wedgewood St., Greensboro, NC died Wednesday, June 18, 1990 at High Point Regional Hospital. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park in Sanford, Fla. A native of McKees Rocks, Pa., he was a Methodist and a retired railroad locomotive engineer. Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Phyllis LaFOND of the home; sons, Charles Fetters of Los Angeles, Laten Fetters of Pittsburgh, Pa.; nine grandchildren. Harold C. Davis Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

JOSEPH E. FICKULAK
Joseph E. Fickulak, 88, of Canonsburg, died Saturday, December 8, 2007, in his home. He was born September 3, 1919, in McKees Rocks, a son of Vincent and Mary SCHULTY Fickulak.
Mr. Fickulak served as a tech sergeant with the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II in Rhineland and elsewhere in Europe. He lived most of his life in Canonsburg, where he was a member of St. Patrick Church, White Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 and American Legion of McMurray. Prior to his retirement in 1982, Mr. Fickulak was employed at the former McGraw-Edison Power Systems, Canonsburg. On July 22, 1950, he married Gilda BEVILACQUA, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Diane (Daniel) BAKER of Steubenville, Ohio, Dr. Joanne (Michael) OLECK of Coraopolis and Nancy (Carl) MARONDE of McMurray; six grandchildren, Lesley and Patrick Baker, Halley Oleck and Scott, Greg and Doug Maronde; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family. Deceased are a sister, Mary SEKORA; and two brothers, John and Vincent Fickulak.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Tuesday, December 11, in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick cemetery, Canonsburg.

MILDRED C. FIGGINS
Mildred C. Figgins, 63, of Strasburg, Illinois, died at 4:49 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001 in Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Illinois. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Shelbyville, Illinois. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. Graveside services with military rites will be in Annunciation Catholic cemetery, California, Missouri on Sunday at 2 p.m. Mrs. Figgins was born May 14, 1937, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Patrick Joseph and Julia Mildred McMAHON McGRATH. She was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Shelbyville and American Legion Auxiliary Post #289, Strasburg. She married William Eugene Figgins on January 14, 1956 at the U.S. Naval Training Center in Bainbridge, Maryland. Surviving are her husband; four children, Charlotte HEATHER and husband Mitchell of Clarksburg, Missouri, Eileen COFFELT of California, Missouri, William Figgins and wife Cathy of Vandenburg AFB, California and Robert Figgins and wife Cathy of Ozark, Arkansas; sisters, Gemma GOGAL of Harrison City, Pennsylvania and Geraldine PRINCE of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.

JOHN A. FILICKO SR.
Age 70, of Sheraden, formerly of McKees Rocks, on Thursday, January 25, 2001, beloved husband of Regina (SULLIVAN); loving father of Verna Ann, John Jr., Yvonne, Mark, James, Thomas, Paul and Regina; six grandchildren; brother of James, Jeanette and Ronald. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the MCDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1225 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks (Family owned & operated since 1886). Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Monday, Holy Innocents Church.

PAMELA DIANE (CUNNINGHAM) FINNIE
Pamela Diane (Cunningham) Finnie, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2008, at the age of 59. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Cunningham. She is survived by, dearly loved, and sadly missed by her mother, Hilda (Dempsey) Cunningham of Fombell, PA, brother Bernard "Smokie" Cunningham and his wife Mary of Portage, IN, sister Janet "Sissy" WARD and her husband Buddy of Aliquippa, PA, brother Bernie Cunningham and his wife Marybeth of Fombell, PA, sister Debbie GILLECE and her husband Pat of Bethel Park, PA, son Len Finnie and his wife Rachel of Gautier, MS, daughter Kim Finnie of Ocean Springs, grandsons Christian Finnie of Ocean Springs, MS, L.J. and Eli Finnie of Gautier, MS, 7 nephews and 2 nieces, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers, and her cat Sassy. Born in Richwood , WV on March 20, 1949, her family moved to southwestern Pennsylvania when she was a small child and she was a resident of the Pittsburgh area until 2002, when she moved to Mississippi to be closer to her children and grandsons. She graduated from Sto-Rox High School in McKees Rocks, PA in 1967, married her former husband James Finnie in 1968 and they raised their children together. She recently celebrated her 5 year anniversary at The New Palace Casino as a hotel room inspectress. Pam had a loving and generous heart, donating financial to the ASPCA and The Humane Society, where she adopted Sassy a little more than a year ago. Pam loved listening to her brother's Bluegrass band, which she was able to see perform live on a recent trip to Pittsburgh. She loved her family and her friends. She loved Frank Sinatra and James Dean. She loved playing POGO on the internet. She loved bingo. Services will be held at Water's Funeral Chapel in Summersville, WV, on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at West Virginia Memorial Gardens in Calvin, WV, on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at 11:00 a.m.
