FRED E. SCHUBERT
Fred E. Schubert, head teller 44 years at the Bank of McKees Rocks (now Equibank), died of a
heart attack Thursday night, April 12, 1981 at his home at 11 Crestview Drive, Kennedy Township. Mr. Schubert, 78, who retired in 1970, was a former CPA for the Triangle Oil Co. of Kennedy Township. He was a member of Christ Community Church of McKees rocks and a former member of its Session and board of trustees. He was former church treasurer and superintendent of its Sabbath School. He was a member of Chartiers Valley Lodge 747 F&AM, Pennsylvania Consistory, Valley of Pittsburgh, and Syria Temple. Surviving are his wife, Marie SLANEY Schubert; a daughter, Jane TIDWELL; three sons, Fred G., Donald E. and John W. Schubert; a sister, Louise HAINES; a brother Carl; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call from noon to 4 and 7 to 9pm today at the Stover Funeral Home, 534 Island Ave., McKees Rocks, where services will be at 11am tomorrow. Chartiers Valley Lodge will conduct services at 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Lutheran cemetery, McKees Rocks.

IRENE BLUMLING SCHUSTER
Age 91, on June 21, 2002, resided at the Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont, originally from McKees Rocks. Loving wife of the late Charles G. Schuster; mother of Catherine KANOZA of Tampa, FL & Janet ZALESKI of Lower Burrell, PA; sister of William BLUMLING of McKees Rocks; grandmother of Suzanne O'RORKE, Theodore Kanoza, Christine MANCINI & Paul CHANDLER; great-grandmother of Zachary Chandler, Brittany, Jesse & Jacob Kanoza; also survived by many nieces & nephews & great nieces & great nephews. Irene was a lifelong member of St. Mary Church. Family to receive friends 2-4 & 7-9 pm Sunday at MCDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1225 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks (Family owned & operated since 1886). Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Monday at St. John of God Parish in St. Mary Church.

LASKO, BRUNO J.
Lasko, Bruno J., 80, of Palm Harbor, died Tuesday (May 17, 1988) at Mease Hospital Countryside, Safety Harbor. He was born in McKees Rocks, Pa., and came here in 1969 from Miami Shores. He was a plant supervisor with the Puritan Dairy, Detroit. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Clearwater. Survivors include his wife, Martha; a son, Eugene, Birmingham, Mich.; three sisters, Rose PIATKOSKI, Carrie SZYMBORSKI and Ann WNEK, all of New Port Richey; three grandchildren and a great-grandson. JOSEPH W. LEONARD
On Friday, March 16, 1956, Joseph W. of 323 Woodward Ave, McKees Rocks, husband of the late Carrie GADWAU Leonard and father of Mrs. Veronica SINNAMON of Albany, New York; Mrs. Clara KENNEDY; four grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother of Henry Leonard, Cleveland, New York. Friends received at McDermott Bros. 1225 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks. Requiem mass at St. Francis De Sales Church on Tuesday, March 20 at 9 a.m.

ANNA G. (SAFRANEK) LEWANDOWSKI
Age 93, of McKees Rocks, on Wed., Oct. 18, 2006; beloved wife of the late Michael Lewandowski; loving mother of David (Beverly) Lewandowski and the late Gary Lewandowski and his wife Susan who survives; grandmother of Sunday, Noel, David, Michael, Carly, Christian and Caylin; sister of Mary and Vincent. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS, 412-531-4000. Friends welcome at Asbury Heights, Baum Chapel, 700 Bower Hill Rd., Mt. Lebanon, Sat. 9 a.m . until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in the Chapel. MARY J.LITTERINI
Peacefully on Sunday, April 8, 2001, Mary J., age 96, of Stowe Twp; wife of the late Andy Litterini; mother of Rosemarie Litterini, Antonetta (Nate) PRESUTTI and Lorraine (Ken) DOMIKOSKI and the late Ernest Litterini; sister of John SPANARD and the late Nicholas, Michael and Frank Spanard and Ella CAPUTO and Florence EGGIE; also seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was an active member of St Maria Goretti Chapel Christian Mothers. Friends received ANTHONY M. MUSMANNO FUNERAL HOME, 700 Seventh St., McKees Rocks. Funeral Mass in St John of God Parish, St Marys Church on Wednesday, time later. Visitations Monday 7-9 pm, Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

ALVIN R. LOGUE
Alvin R. Logue, 63, of McKees Rocks, a former McKees Rocks firefighter, died of a heart attack Monday at his home. Mr. Logue served six years on the McKees Rocks Planning Commission, 10 years as a state constable and 20 years as a McKees Rocks Democratic committeeman.
He attended schools in McKees Rocks and retired in 1976 after 18 years as a firefighter for the McKees Rocks Fire Department. He served in the Navy during World War II and in the Army during the Korean War. Mr. Logue was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 418 and American Legion Post 618, both in McKees Rocks. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine TAYLOR Logue; one son, Thomas of McKees Rocks; five daughters, Linda MADONNA of Marshall, Barbara DIECKS of Ross, and Maribeth TAYLOR, Karen Logue and Kimberly BOSETTI, all of McKees Rocks; one sister, June HUFNAGEL of McKees Rocks; and 12 grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow at the McDermott Funeral Home Inc., 1225 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Moon.

NICHOLAS LORIS
On Wednesday, December 12, 1973, Nicholas, husband of Olive Loris, of McKees Rocks; father of Barbara PHELPS, Margaret COPE and William Loris; nine grandchildren. On Sept. 18, 2001, Frank J. Loushil, age 90 of Kennedy Twp. Mr. Loushil was founder of West Park Monument. Husband of Margaret KEYS Loushil; Father of Margaret GENTILE, Frank Loushil & Donald Loushil, all of Kennedy Twp, Doris GLANCE of Robinson Twp. & the late Louise BROWN. Grandfather of Denise THOMAS, Michael KOSOL, Wanda COPP, Sheri KADLECIK, Douglas, Edward & Jason Glance; also 3 great-grandchildren. Friends received ANTHONY J. SANVITO, INC. GEORGE LUDZIK
George Ludzik, 80, formerly of South Hill Road, McKean, died Monday, Jan. 12, 1998, at Pleasant Ridge Manor West. Born in McKees Rocks, Pa., on April 6, 1917, he was the son of the late Michael and Julianna SPONTAK Ludzik. He was a dairy farmer in McKean until he retired. He was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Greek Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna NESZPAUL and Elizabeth FERRICK. Survivors include a sister, Mary KEAST of Campbell, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
No calling hours will be observed. Friends are invited to the Requiem of Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Church, 1115 East Ave., Wednesday at 1 p.m., with the Very Rev. Msgr. Ronald A. Hazuda officiating. Burial will be at St. Nicholas cemetery. The Brugger Home for Funerals, West 38th Street and Greengarden Boulevard, is in charge of arrangements. January 12, 1998

RUTH M. STRUBLE SEAGER
BLAIN - Ruth M. (Struble) Seager, 84, of Blain RR1 died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, in the Sara Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle. Born July 24, 1917, in McKees Rocks, she was the daughter of the late Daniel E. and Mary W. (McMULLEN) Struble. Her husband, John F. Seager, preceded her in death. Surviving are: a son, Donald E. Seager, Loysville RR1, two daughters, Barbara J. BOWER and Linda L. Seager, both of Blain RR1; and five grandchildren. She had attended the former Carlisle Commercial College. She was retired from the Perry Health Center, Loysville and had also worked at Carlisle Hospital, the State Civil Service Commission, Harrisburg and the Blain Garment Factory. She was a member of the New Germantown United Methodist Church, New Germantown, where she taught Sunday school for over 70 years and played the piano and organ for over 50 years. She was also president of United Methodist Women's Society. She was also a member of the Blain Ambulance Club, the ladies auxiliary of the Blain Fire Company, and the Blain Senior Citizen's Center. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing and church work. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Germantown United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Donald Raffensperger and the Rev. Dale Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in the Blain cemetery, Blain RR1. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville and 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to: the New Germantown United Methodist Church, c/o Denise Kuhn, treasurer, RR1, Box 246-A, Blain, PA 17006 or to the American Cancer Society, 1500 N. 2nd St., Harrisburg, PA 17102.

JAMES EDWARD JESKEY
James Edward “Jim” Jeskey, age 89, of Murfreesboro died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 at his home. He was born Jan. 15, 1918 in McKees Rocks, Pa. to the late Edwin J. and Mary COVERSTONE Jeskey. Jim began an airline career in 1941 with Pennsylvania Central Airlines as a radio operator, at Washington National Airport. Upon the company merging with Capital Airlines he was promoted to flight dispatcher, working at Dulles International Airport. His entire career spanned 41 years, culminating in his promotion to the position of Area Operations Manager of the Western Division of United Airlines, in San Francisco, Calif. Upon retirement in 1982 he donated his time to the American Theater Organ Society, the Retired United Pilots Association, and the Episcopal Church, of which he was a member. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Barbara WOLCOTT Jeskey; daughters Patricia Jeskey of Phoenix, Ariz.; Mary Kay Jeskey of Murfreesboro; Joann MAGNUSON of Lavergne; and Barbara (CLAYTON) SULLIVAN of Christiana; granddaughters Kelly, Caroline and Victoria Sullivan.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Theater Organ Society, P.O. JOHN JULA
HAMPTON - John Jula, 81, died Saturday, July 1, in Veterans Administration Medical Center.
A native of McKees Rocks, Pa., Mr. Jula had been a Hampton resident since 1951. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1951 after 27 years and from civil service at Fort Monroe in 1967. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea. Survivors include his wife, Miriam F. Jula; two daughters, Nancy J. CROFT of Arlington and Linda M. SAUNDERS of Hayes; one son, John Jula Jr. of El Paso, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Arrangements are incomplete. R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home is in charge. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
