JAMES F. MCFEELEY
James F. McFeeley Sr., 83, of Grove City died at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at his residence after a long illness. Born Dec. 3, 1921 in McKees Rocks, he was the son of William J. and Elizabeth Paula BERGER McFeeley. He retired in 1983 from Cooper Energy Service in Grove City where he was a coremaker for 31 years. He also had been employed at Johnstone Foundry in Grove City. He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Slippery Rock. Mr. McFeeley was a World War II Navy veteran. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family. Surviving are two sons, James F. and Mark A. McFeeley, both of Grove City; two daughters, Edith ANDERSON and Emilie McFeeley, both of Grove City; a brother, Raymond "Rip" McFeeley of Grove City; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois L. MCCARL McFeeley, whom he married
July 2, 1949, and who died April 9, 2003; one brother, and one sister. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME,

THOMAS F. MCKEE
Thomas F. McKee, one of the first settlers in what is now McKees Rocks, died yesterday morning at 11:50 o'clock at his residence, 59 Shingiss Street, that borough. Death was due to general debility incident to old age. Mr. McKee was born in Union township, back of Temperanceville, in 1827, and in 1857 he took up his residence in McKees Rocks, where he had resided ever since. He was married
on June 27, 1855 to Miss Rebecca Lockhart. Six children survive him - Mrs. John R. Thompson, of Evergreen; James E. McKee, of the East End, Pittsburg, and Alexander G. McKee, Mrs. George Jones, Mrs. E. J. Black and Elmer A. McKee, all of McKees Rocks. Deceased is also survived by his widow. Mr. McKee was the son of John and Elizabeth McKee, and a grandson of John McKee, from whom the town took its name. He was well known to many Pittsburgers, having at one time had a stand in the Pittsburg market. He retired from business many years ago. Funeral services will be held this evening at 8 o'clock at his late residence and the interment will be in Mount Pisgah cemetery, Greentree borough, tomorrow morning.

Age 82, of McKees Rocks, on Monday, December 18, 2006. Preceded in death by his parents James and Mary (BOFF) McNally; survived by cousins Joyce RAMELLA and Alfred Boff. Mr. McNally served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific theater during WWII and was awarded several service medals, he was also a member of Teamsters Local 249. Bruce Richard Metts, 90, of Bonita Springs, FL, and Wellsville, PA, died Saturday, April 14, 2007 in Florida. He was born March 26, 1917 in McKees Rocks, PA. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, retired from the Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Navy Reserves with 24 years of service. He was a member of New Bethel Methodist Church. Bruce was the loving husband of 11 years of Catherine Herman Metts. He is also survived by 1 step son, Kenneth S. Herman; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 1 sister; 2 step grandsons, Kyle and Jarred Herman; 4 step-great grandchildren, Blaise, Sky, Memphis and Zoe; and 2 sisters-in-law, Elizabeth WALTERS and Marie LEO. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anne Gamble Metts in 1984; a son, Bruce R. Metts in 2006; 5 brothers and 2 sisters. MARY (BECK) MEYER
Mrs. Mary Meyer, 86, widow of Conrad Meyer, who died late Thursday afternoon at her home in Kennedy Township, was buried at St. Mary's cemetery in McKees Rocks on Monday morning. Requiem mass was celebrated at nine o'clock at St. Mary's Church. Born in Derry, Penna., she has lived in McKees Rocks for 85 years. She and her husband were one of the pioneer families of the McKees Rocks district and were charter members of the St. Mary's church. She leaves nine children: Four daughters, Mrs. Jennie Minch, Mrs. Mary Dunmire, Mrs. Helen Siebert, and Anna; five sons, Blazius, John, William, Julius, and Frank; 32 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren; one brother John J. Beck, of Aliquippa; one sister, Mrs. Jennie Notte, of Kennedy township; one half-brother, Blazius Beck; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Mack, Mrs. Stella Burkhard and Mrs. Catherine Reckert of Detroit, Mich. Friends were received at the Heinauer Funeral home, 907 Chartiers Avenue, McKees Rocks, PA.

age 94, of Lake Mary, FL passed away September 26, 2007. Vera was born June 23, 1913 in
McKees Rocks, PA to Ludwick and Sophie BUMBUL. She had been a homemaker, was a Catholic and a member of the Daughters of Isabella for 65 years. Vera is survived by her son, Ray Miles of Lake Mary, two daughters, Helen PISARSKI of Michigan and Tina Miller of Longwood, FL; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchldren, one great great grandchild; one brother and one sister. Services will be held in Michigan at a later date. Memorial Services in Florida will be announced. Funeral services for August V. Miller, 81, retired Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad employee who died Monday morning in his home, 3313 West Carson street, will be held tomorrow morning in St. Mary's Catholic Church, McKees Rocks. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Forty-fifth street. He was born on the Northside and spent the greater part of his life in the McKees Rocks district. He retired in 1920 after 30 years of service with the railroad. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Johanna Blum Miller; three daughters, Mrs. Lena MEYERS and Mrs. Bertha Meyers, both of McKees Rocks and Mrs. Grace FRANKLIN of New Brighton; four sons, Joseph C. JAMES E. MINDA
James E. Minda, 44, of Butler died at 6:10 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2003 at Sunnyview Nursing Home. Born Aug. 22, 1958, in McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, he was a son of Earl and Jeannette PERGANTIS Minda. He had worked as a welder for Pullman Standard and Trinity Industries. Mr. Minda was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Laura CUMBERLAND Minda; two daughters, Maria Minda and Sara Minda, both of Butler; and two brothers, Timothy Minda of Butler and Greg Minda of Volant.
He was preceded in death by a brother. Private services were today at the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME in Butler. The Rev. John Neyman officiated. Burial was in West Sunbury Union cemetery.

MICHAEL J. MORGUS
Michael J. Morgus, 90, of Butler died Monday evening, Feb. 21, 2005, at Butler Memorial Hospital. Born in McKees Rocks, Oct. 24, 1914, he was a son of Nicholas and Josephine Morgus. In 1977, he retired from the Montgomery Ward store in Butler, where he had been the carpet manager when the store was on Main Street and also when it was at the former Butler Mall. Prior to that, he had owned and operated Painters Restaurant that had been on West Jefferson Street. He was a life member and the longest active member of the Butler Elks Lodge 170. He enjoyed sports, especially football at every level from youth midget leagues, Butler High School athletics to the college and professional level. He loved to spend time daily visiting his friends at Clearview Mall and enjoyed playing the lottery. He was a former Eucharistic Minister and member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are a son, Michael P. Morgus of Butler; a daughter, Mrs. Patrick (Kathryn) COYLE of Meridian; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, John Morgus of Johnson City, N.Y.; a sister, Ann PREBULA of Butler; numerous nieces and nephews. His wife, Catherine RATTIGAN Morgus, whom he married
June 24, 1940, died March 1, 1991. He also was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave. The Rev. James Dolan will officiate.
