ZINKHAN J. R.
Funeral services for J. R.(Ray) Zinkhan, 65, secretary-treasurer of the North Pole Cold Storage and Ice Company, who died Saturday night in Mercy Hospital, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in his home, 129 Amelia Street, McKees Rocks. Burial will be private. Mr. Zinkhan, a son of the late William Zinkhan, one of the organizers of the North Pole Company, was associated with the late Captain David Shaw in the steel business before he became affiliated with the cold storage concern. He was born on the Southside but lived most of his life in McKees Rocks. He was a member of the Masonic orders; was a charter member and the first exalted ruler of the Elks Lodge of McKees Rocks and a member of the Duquesne Club; Chartiers Heights Country Club and the Trap Shooters of Pennsylvania. He leaves a sister, Mrs. C. E. HUSELTON; a brother, W. B. Zinkhan, and several nieces and nephews, one of whom is Sergeant William Z. Clark, United States Army, former clerk of courts in Allegheny County.

JAMES R. MAIZIE
A memorial mass will be offered Saturday for James R. Maizie, 77, who died of cancer last Saturday in his McKees Rocks home. The service will be offered at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 1011 Church Ave., McKees Rocks. Mr. Maizie was retired after 50 years with the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, during which he served as assistant international membership director, state president and state secretary. The Army veteran was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1331, McKees Rocks. Survivors include his wife, Magdaline; a daughter, Barbara Ann Maizie of Oakland, Calif.; a sister, Angeline PANUCCI of Coraopolis; and a brother, Lawrence, of Laguna Beach, Calif. MARIE A. NEELY
Marie A. Neely, 92, a resident of LAS Passavant Retirement Center, Zelienople, formerly of Leetsdale, died Sunday,July 10, 2005, at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford. Born Feb. 6, 1913, in McKees Rocks, she was the daughter of William and Marie SCHAFER WOHLGEMUTH. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Leetsdale. She attended Curry College and Duffs Business School. She was a very active member of WELCA and the 55 Plus Club of Ambridge. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Ellen Marie KAELIN and her husband, Donald, of Wexford and Linda Joyce Neely of Sewickley; a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel Dale Neely and his wife, Patricia, of Mechanicsburg; four grandchildren, Curt Kaelin of Wexford, Samuel and Melissa Neely, both of Mechanicsburg, and Christian SHAFFER of Glenfield; five great-grandchildren, Samuel Nicholas, Andrea and Ryan Neely,and Matthew and Abby Kaelin.She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel F. Neely; two brothers, Carl and Julius Wohlgemuth, and a sister Freda MERCER. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME, 833 Kennedy Dr., Ambridge. A funeral service will be at the home at 10 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Thomas Moog. Burial will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 3500 Brooktree Road, Suite 320, Wexford, PA 15090.

MORRIS L. NEMSER
LEWISTOWN - Morris L. Nemser, 82, of 67 Logan St., Lewistown, died at 3:05 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at Lewistown Hospital. Born June 23, 1918, in McKees Rocks, he was the son of the late Joseph and Emma (MARIANHOFF) Nemser. Surviving are: children, Mrs. Frank (Elissa) MAGUIRE, Casselberry, Fla., Mrs. Craig (Maryl) WEADY, Tracy, Calif., Neil C. Nemser, Abingdon, Md., Paula TETIRICK, Liberty, Ken., Marc A. Nemser, Evans, Ga., Mrs. Ionel (Jo) BAJESCU, Rochester, NY., Mrs. Jeffery (Rebecca) NADEL, San Luis Obispo, Calif., Michael J. Nemser, Martinsburg, W. Va., and Daniel Radha KRISHNA, Richmond, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. David (Myra) SEIGEL, Chatsworth, Calif. and Mrs. Saul (Phyllis) KATZ, Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a 1949 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and received a Masters of Social Work. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theatre. He was chief social worker for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in Harrisburg for 27 years, retiring in 1980. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Social Work, Room 530, Craig Hall, Pittsburgh, PA 15260. Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.

NICODEMUS, JOHN
Nicodemus, John, 83, of 14300 66th Street, Clearwater, died Friday (May 13, 1988) at Countryplace of Clearwater. He came here in 1972 from his native McKees Rocks, Pa. He was a car inspector with the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad. He was a member of the Ken Mar United Presbyterian Church, McKees Rocks. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners and a 30-year member of the Kennedy Township Volunteer Fire Department, all of Pennsylvania. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret HARCHA, McKees Rocks; two sisters, Marie BOATE, Davie, and Jewell JONES, Clearwater; two grandchildren and three great-grandsons. ELIZABETH NOAH
Miss Elizabeth NOAH, aged 51 years, who resided at McKees Rocks, died in a Pittsburgh hospital on Tuesday, September 4, after a long illness. The deceased was born at Burgettstown October 31, 1866, where the family resided about twenty years, then moved to Clinton, and later to McKees Rocks. Since that time Miss NOAH lived with her brother, Mr. John NOAH, at McKees Rocks. Four years ago she became ill of cancer of the liver, and was lately taken to the hospital where she died. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of McKees Rocks, where she had many friends and was an active worker. She leaves one brother, John NOAH, and two sisters, Mrs. James WELCH of Crafton and Mrs. R. D. BLISS of Oakland. The funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. BLISS, conducted by the Rev. W. R. EMMA STULTZ NOZLING
On Friday, May 5, 2000, Emma (Stultz) Nozling, age 96, of McKees Rocks; beloved wife of the late Thomas W. Nozling; sister of the late Ruth, Henry, and Albert Stultz; survived by Clara and Irene Sullivan of North Hills; also many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Nozling was a teacher at Sto-Rox High School for 44 years. She was active in the Civic Club, Boys and Girls Club, and numerous card clubs. Friends welcome at MCDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1225 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks (Family owned & operated since 1886) , Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Monday. THOMAS W. NOZLING
On Wednesday, November 17, 1999, Thomas W. Nozling, age 92, of McKees Rocks, beloved husband of Emma(Stultz) Nozling, beloved son of the late Stanley Burke and Anna(Donovan) Nozling; dear brother of Irene and Clara Sullivan and the late Edward nozling, Bernard and Marie Chupka; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

EDGAR F. MALONEY
Edgar "Ed" F. Maloney, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2007 at HealthSouth in Mechanicsburg, PA. Born August 26, 1930 in McKees Rock, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Gladys ASHTON Maloney. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Bobbie Jean EVANS Maloney; 2 children, Michael J. Maloney and wife, Brenda of Mechanicsburg, PA and Luanne Maloney of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; 2 grandchildren, Carey Maloney MILLER and husband, Dan of Boiling Springs, PA and Bryan GRUNDON and wife, Holly of Lincoln, Vermont; 3 great-granddaughters, Genevieve Miller, Sarah Jane Grundon and Carlyle Grundon; one brother, Walter J. Maloney of Farmington Hills, Michigan; 2 sisters, June REESE and husband, Art of Byesville, Ohio and Grace MALLOY of Pittsburgh, PA; 6 nieces and 6 nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mary Jane CHOJNICKI and Ruthie Maloney. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2007, in Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA, with Rev. Jon Uhlinger officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m., until the time of service.

JOHN A. MAMRAK
John A. Mamrak Sr., 83, of Mount Holly, died Thursday at Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly. Mr. Mamrak was born in McKeesport, Pa., and lived in McKees Rocks, Pa. for 27 years before moving to Mount Holly a year ago. He was a retired meat cutter.
Survivors: his wife, Lottie; a son, John Jr. of Mount Holly; two daughters, Barbara CHAPKO of Chester, W.Va., and Patricia PICKWORTH of Naples, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Services: held Monday; Lee Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Philadelphia Inquirer, The (PA) - August 8, 1990

At his McKees Rocks home, with his family by his side on February 5, 2009, David J., Jr., age 83; beloved husband of the late Lucille; dear father of David J. Thomas, Lynn A. PODNAR, Donald A. Thomas and Deborah A. (Anthony) MEDWID; grandfather of Ryan Thomas, Frank Podnar and Michael TARAVELLA; brother of Edna ZAMOS; brother-in-law of Jean KYLE, Judy (Tom) HARBAUGH, Peggy (Mike) LYNCH. Friends received at STOVER FUNERAL HOME, INC. 534 Island Avenue, McKees Rocks on Saturday 6-8pm and Sunday 12-3 & 6-8pm, where funeral service will be Monday at 11am. Dave was the former Mayor of McKees Rocks Borough and a WWII Army Air Corp Veteran, having served as a lower ball gunner on a B17. He flew 35 combat missions over Germany and was awarded the Silver Star.

FRANCIS S. RAFFERTY
Francis S. "Frank" Rafferty, 78, born Feb. 12, 1930, in McKees Rocks, Pa., to Stephen and Elizabeth (nee Finn) Rafferty, he died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, in McHenry. On Aug. 1, 1953, he married Elizabeth R. MURPHY in Kansas City, Kan. A veteran of the Air Force, he served during the Korean War. He retired from ElectroDynamics of Rolling Meadows in 1995, after 17 years. Survivors include his three children, Kevin A. Sr. (Billie) Rafferty of Monarch Beach, Calif., Daniel M. (Cheryl) Rafferty of Elk Grove, Calif. and Maureen E. FORGETTE (Rick) of McHenry; 13 grandchildren, Jason Rafferty of Fremont, Calif., Sean Rafferty of Charleston, S.C., Rose (Scott) LIDDICK of Chambersburg, Pa., Maggie Rafferty of Toledo, Ohio, Christopher Rafferty of Toledo, Patrick Rafferty of Elk Grove, Calif., Kevin Rafferty Jr. of Murrieta, Calif., Sarah Rafferty of McDonough, Ga., Erin Rafferty of Murrieta, and Alex, Adam, Mitch and Brittany Forgette of McHenry; one great-grandson, Noah Trowbridge of Severn, Md.; and a sister, Betty McCLARNON of Pittsburgh, Pa. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a son, Stephen J. Rafferty.

MARGARET REITER, 77, retired Pittsburgh Symphony Society comptroller, died Thursday, July 6, 1990 of kidney failure at Ohio Valley General Hospital, Kennedy Township. Miss Reiter, of McKees Rocks, was comptroller for 34 years, retiring in 1974. She was a life-long member of St. Mary Help of Christians Roman Catholic Church in McKees Rock and its women's guild. She also belonged to Pittsburgh AARP. Survivors include a sister, Marie Reiter, and two brothers, Frank and Edward Reiter, all of McKees Rocks. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the McDermott Funeral Home, 1225 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks. A mass of Christian burial will be offered at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow in St. Mary Church, Church Avenue, McKees Rocks. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, McKees Rocks.

ALEXANDER REPACK
On Monday, April 3, 1939 at 11:50 a.m. Alexander Repack, husband of Mary Tomas Repack at his residence, 108 Ella St., McKees Rocks, Survived by his wife, three sons, Stephen, William and Alexander, three daughters, Mrs. Marie WOJANIS, Mrs. Rosenna RUSIO of Los Angeles, Ca., and Miss Irene Repack. Funeral from the family home, Thursday, April 5, at 8:30 a.m. Mass at the Church of the Holy Ghost on Helen St. at 9 a.m.

IRENE (MIMI) FRANK REPACK
Age 82, of McKees Rocks on Thurs, Jan. 9, 1997; wife of the late Capt. William T. Repack; mother of Prof. William F. Repack and David B. Repack; also survived by four grandchildren. She was an executive assistant at the Graduate School, University of Pittsburgh. Services are private. Mimi Repack will be lovingly remembered for her tenacity, sense of humor, beauty, friendship and "plans for the future." Memorial Mass in St. John of God Church, McKees Rocks, on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 11 AM.
