M. Marie Snyder
M. Marie Kissinger Snyder, 78, formerly of Elizabethville, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at the Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg.
Born September 13, 1924 in Gratz, she was a daughter of the late Ernist and Mabel Wagner Kissinger.
She was a retired seamstress from the former Elizabethville Shirt Factory, Elizabethville. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Elizabethville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis O. Snyder.
Surviving are a son, Francis L. "Sonny" Snyder, of Rife; a brother, Harold "Boots" Kissinger of Berrysburg; four sisters, Mildred Artz of Colonial Park, Betty Spicher and Faye "Dolly" Werner, both of Elizabethville, and Phyllis Keefer of Millersburg; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, May 24, at Hoover Funeral Home, Inc., Elizabethville, with the Rev. Roger Snyder officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove cemetery, Elizabethville.

Bertha L. Shiley
Bertha "Byrt" Lillian Shiley, 69, of Lykens, died Saturday, May 17, 2003, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Born in North Dakota, she was a daughter of Frank and Helen Kralicek.
She worked as a legal secretary for the law firm of Skarlatos and Zonarich in Harrisburg, for several years; later she worked for her son's business in Lynnwood Herb Farm and D&L; Farm and Home in Elizabethville.
Surviving are a son, Jack Shiley of Lykens; a daughter, Georgena Yanoff of Palmerton; two sisters, Judy Fisher and Claudia Maychrzak; two grandchildren; cousins; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 24, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Millersburg. A second memorial service will be held on Friday, May 30, at 2 p.m., at Sacred Heart Church, Scranton, North Dakota.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Donald R. Lebo
Donald R. Lebo, 74, of Tower City, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at home.
Born in Clarks Valley, April 7, 1929, he was a son of the late Clarence and Ruth Hossler Lebo.
He retired after more than 55 years as the co-owner of the former Lebo Saw Mill, Kalmia.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rose Marie.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Carol "Guelle" Brown; two daughters, Yvonne M. Seiger and Linda J. Faust, both of Tower City; five brothers, Paul of Florida, Richard of Tower City, Harry of Bernville, Fred of New Cumberland, and Dale of Grantville; three sisters, Dorothy Bender of Tower City, Betty Kemmerling of Pine Grove, and Carol Walker of South Carolina; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services were private. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery, Tower City. Dimon Funeral Homes Inc., Tower City, was in charge of arrangements.
Linda T. Klinger
Linda T. Klinger, 57, of Millersburg, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003.
Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Norma Hoffman Trunzo.
She was a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School. She had worked at the PA Department of Labor & Industry, as an administrative assistant. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Millersburg.
Surviving are her husband, Alphus S. Klinger II; a son, Alphus III of Millersburg; a daughter Kara Hale of Millersburg; surrogate step-father, Floyd Russ Sheetz of Camp Hill; mother-in-law, Helen Klinger of Millersburg; and an aunt, Elizabeth Quinn of Ardmore.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 31, at 11 a.m., at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Millersburg.

Chet Douglas Richard Hubler, infant son of Shannon Zerby and Chester Hubler III of Lykens, died Saturday, May 24, 2003, at the Harrisburg Hospital.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Charlene and Ronald Zerby, Jr. of Lykens; paternal grandparents, Donna and Chester Hubler, Jr. of Lykens; maternal great-grandmother, Arlene Ressler of Wiconisco; maternal great-grandparents, Charlotte and Ronald Zerby, Sr. of Lykens; paternal great-grandmother, Helen Heintzleman of Tower City; paternal great-grandparents, Marian and Chester Hubler, Sr. of R.D., Halifax; maternal great-great-grandmother, Ruth Ressler of Lykens; and aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28th, at the John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens. Interment in Calvary United Methodist cemetery, Wiconisco. There will be no viewing or visitation. John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, is handling arrangements.
Lee I. Henninger
Lee I. Henninger, 82, of Elizabethville, died Friday, May 23, 2003, at home.
Born in Lykens Twp., he was a son of the late Charles and Clara Troutman Henninger.
He was a retired carpenter and farmer; was a member of St. Peter's U.C.C., Lykens RD, where he was a choir member for 67 years and Sunday School Teacher for 60 years; was a member of the Lykens Valley Charge of the Men's Brotherhood and the Lykens Valley Charge Bible study group; was sexton of the St. Peter's church cemetery; and a member of the Upper Dauphin branch of the Gideon's International.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Leer.
Surviving are his wife, Jean K. Straub Henninger; a daughter, Yvonne Henninger of Elizabethville; two brothers, Pershing and Russell, both of Elizabethville, RD; a nephew and six nieces.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, at 11 a.m. at his church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Rodney C. Hartwig
Rodney Charles Hartwig, 73, of Gratz, died Sunday, May 25, 2003, at home.
Born July 18, 1929 in Flint, Michigan, he was a son of the late Donald and Shirley Betleyton Hartwig.
He was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Flight Controller. He was a member of the Susquehanna Lodge 364 F&AM; , of Millersburg; and a member of Simeon United Methodist Church, Gratz.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara March Hartwig; three daughters, Debra Baker of Tampa, FL, Sharon Hartman of Dauphin, and Terry Snyder of Gratz; a sister, Lea Jean Weber of Santa Rosa, CA.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at Simeon United Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, with Rev. Barry Ridge officiating. Interment will be in Gratz Union cemetery, Gratz. Friends are invited to call Thursday at 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Evelyn G. Hain, 92, of Millersburg, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at home.
Born in Trevorton, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Annie Haupt Hain.
She retired from PP&L; with 44 years of service, as a customer service representative. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Millersburg.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Barnhart.
Surviving are her sister, Myrtle Hain of Millersburg; three nieces, Kay Fralick of Millersburg, Nancy Parsons of Mechanicsburg, and Carol Weiss of Hawaii.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, May 24, at Oak Hill cemetery, Millersburg. Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc., Millersburg, was in charge of arrangements.
Ira W. Fetterhoff
Ira W. Fetterhoff, 80, of Tower City, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at the Harrisburg Hospital.
Born in Tower City on March 21, 1923, a son of the late Henry and Gerte Koons Fetterhoff.
He was retired from the former J.E. Morgan Garment Factory with over 40 years of service. He was of the Protestant faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Bixler Fetterhoff in 1993.
Surviving are a son, Ronnie L. Bixler, Sr., of Shoemakersville; a grandson, Ronnie L. Bixler, Jr., of Tower City; a brother, Rowland Fetterhoff of Muir; a great-granddaughter, Kyleigh M. Bixler; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 27, from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., Tower City, with the Rev. Donald Morgantini officiating. Interment was in St. Andrews cemetery, Valley View. Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., Tower City, was in charge of arrangements.
Raymond C. Donley
Raymond C. Donley, 89, of Lykens, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2003, at Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg.
He was a teacher and principal at both Lykens and Upper Dauphin Area School Districts; a member of St. Christopher Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ashlar Lodge No. 570 F&AM; , both of Lykens; PA Education Association; and Director of Miner's Bank of Lykens-Mid Penn.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, "Honey".
Surviving are a daughter, Linda Donley Sheesley of Elkton, Maryland; a son, Stephen Donley of Leesburg, Florida; a twin brother, Ronald Donley; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services were held Tuesday, May 27, at St. Christopher Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lykens.
