Elizabeth Butler
Elizabeth Mae "Betty" Butler, 84, of Sweet Arrow Lake Road, Pine Grove, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, at Pottsville Hospital.
Born in Pine Grove Township, June 27, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Jesse J. and Alma V. Hughes Kintzel.
She was a member of Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, Pine Grove.
She was employed for eight years as a custodian in Pine Grove area schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Leonard F. Butler, on Feb. 11, 1998; a great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Marie Butler; four brothers, Harvey "Hip, " Frank, Jesse Jr. and Abel Kintzel.
Surviving are two sons, Lamar L. Butler Sr. and Theodore B. Butler Sr.; two daughters, Lois J. Lehman and Michele E. Rhody; eight grandsons, Todd, Scott, Timothy, Lamar Jr. and Theodore Jr. Butler, Michael and Matthew Lehman and Craig Rhody; two granddaughters, Sheila Cavaluchi and Marlena Rhody; 12 great-grandsons, Ty, Garrett, Lane and Chase Lehman, Nathaniel and Alexander Cavaluchi, Dakota, Wyatt, Zachary, Colton, Gavin and Logan Butler; four great-granddaughters, Nicole Blain, Olivia and Maura Lehman and Allison Butler; three brothers, Nathan, Monroe and Ira Kintzel, all of Pine Grove; three sisters, Rachael Strouphauer, Vera Brown and Leona Kintzel, all of Pine Grove.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 20, in Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, 347 Sweet Arrow Lake Road, Pine Grove, with the Rev. Calvin Roop and the Rev. Rick Hoffman officiating. Burial was in Schuylkill Church of the Brethren cemetery. H.L. Snyder Funeral home Inc., Pine Grove, was in charge of arrangements.

Elsie Bordner
Elsie I. Bordner, age 85, of Polk Assisted Living, 301 North Street, Millersburg, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005 at the Manor at Perry Village, New Bloomfield.
She was born in Herndon on October 30, 1920, a daughter of the late Walter and Carrie Thomas Wolfe. She was the widow of Roy E. Bordner.
She was a member of Halifax Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.
She is survived by children, Marlin W. Bordner of Dillsburg; Arlene R. Reed of Middletown; Barbara D. Carter of Hummelstown; David L. Bordner of Winfield; Steven R. Bordner of Duncannon; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Service were held Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. from Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, 325 N. High Street, Duncannon. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Dauphin.

Robert E. Bettinger
Robert E. Bettinger, 72, formerly of Tower City, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005 at Tremont Health and Rehab.
Born in Orwin on September 5, 1933, he was a son of the late Arthur and Hilda Hand Bettinger.
He was a Korean War Army Veteran; retired from the Banking and Insurance industry in FL; was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tower City; and the Porter Tower Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Leroy; and two sisters, Pauline Hand and Alverta Bettinger.
Surviving are three sisters, Shirley Nasodos and her husband, William of Tower City, Faye Jones and her husband, Russel of Muir and Myra Shomper of NC; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 10, from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., with Rev. Edward Gobrecht. Burial was in St. Peters cemetery, Orwin.

Linda S. Clouser
Linda S. Clouser, 52, of Elizabethville, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, in the Harrisburg Hospital.
She was born November 14, 1952 in Lancaster, PA, daughter of the late Galen R. Shoop, Sr. and Anna S. (Ruhl) Shoop.
She is survived by her mother; 2 daughters, Tammy M. and Yvonne R. Clouser, both of Elizabethtown; 2 brothers, Galen R. Shoop of Mount Alto, PA, Lynn Shoop of NC; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 7 in the Lykens Valley House of Prayer Assembly of God Church. Interment will be in St. James cemetery, Carsonville.

Ida M. Leitzel
Ida M. Leitzel, 82, of 117 W. Church Street, Muir, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005 at ManorCare, Pottsville.
Born in Hegins on November 3, 1922, she was a daughter of the late George and Minnie Swinehart Carl.
Ida was owner of the former Ida's Craft Shop in Reinerton. She was also a demonstrator for American Home Toys and Beeline Clothing. Very active with foster parenting, during the holidays she provided emergency shelter for Children Services and took children in from Topton Home and the Hershey Home. She also was a sponsor for Fresh Air Children during the summer months.
She was a 1941 graduate of the former Hegins High School, and a graduate of the Pottsville School of Nursing. Upon graduation, she was an LPN with Home Health Care. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Muir, where she was active in the Ladies Bible Class, Alter Guild and had been a teacher of Vacation Bible School and Children of the Church.
In her community, Ida was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, the Williams Valley Elementary School, active social member with the Tower-Porter Ambulance Association, a former Girl Scout Leader, ran the refreshment stand at Tower-Porter Pool, and very active with the Old Home Week Committee.
Ida was very active with the Senior Olympics winning over 100 medals in the Schuylkill County, State and National Olympics in numerous athletic events. She was a member of the Pottsville and Pine Grove Bowling Leagues and won many trophies. Her greatest joys were working in her yard and planting, cooking, doing crafts and oil paintings. She was also an avid hunter, preferring small game.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Robert J., a daughter, Lois Reiner; and a sister, Edna Rhoades.
Surviving are two daughters, Monica S. Romberger and her husband, Bill of Muir and Kimberly M. Leitzel of Harrisburg; one son, Glenn Baker of Tower City; two grandsons, Robert J. Reiner and his wife, Julie of Orwin and Brandon Baker of Tower City; three great-grandchildren, Robert, Justin and Rachael Reiner; two brothers, Charles Carl of Gordon and George Carl of Tower City; three sisters, Violet Lucas and Anna Marwine, both of Tremont, and Joan Kroeck of Annville; nieces and nephews; and 46 foster children.
Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 11 from her church, with Rev. Donald Raffensperger and Rev. Charlene Reitz officiating. Burial was in the Methodist cemetery.

Lynne M. Wynn, 47, of Dalmatia, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at her home.
She was born in Sunbury, May 26, 1958, daughter of Derl and Audrey Brubaker Schaffner, RD Dalmatia.
She was employed as a dental assistant at Endodontic Specialties, Camp Hill.
She was a member of Hillside Christian Fellowship Church, Millersburg.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Timothy H. Wynn, Dalmatia; a daughter, Heather Henninger, Dornsife; a son, Brian Henninger, Gratz; three sisters, Joanne Snyder, Millersburg, Tarnie White, Millersburg and Pamela Novinger, Pillow. She is also survived by a granddaughter.

Jacob Andrew Zeigler, 81, RR1 Dalmatia, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2005 at the home of his son in Fishers, IN.
He was born in Dalmatia, on January 15, 1924, a son of the late Franklin E. and Margaret Susan Bingaman Zeigler.
He retired as a machinist from Brubaker Tool Company, Millersburg.
He was a graduate of the former Lower Mahanoy High School.
He was Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Mandata American Legion, the Millersburg American Legion, the Millersburg VFW, and the Dalmatia Fire Company.
He was the widower of Jean A. Markel Zeigler.
His survived y a son Jeffery A., Fishers, IN; a grandson, Adam B. Zeigler, Fishers, IN; a granddaughter, Devin N. Zeigler, Fishers, IN; and a sisters Needa Rumberger, Carlisle.
He was preceded in death by a son Jan A. Zeigler, by four brothers and by five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ, Dalmatia, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, with the Rev. Ellen Clement officiating. A viewing will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Burial will be made in Dalmatia cemetery. James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, is in charge of arrangements.

Betty E. Enders, 80, of Wiconisco, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Hochreider; and three brothers, Marlin, Dean and Elwood Ritzel.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Enders; three daughters, Pat Shertzer of R.D. Elizabethville, Dorothy Dorman of Miami, FL, and Gloria Usuka of Loyalton; a sister, Barbara Shissler of Sunbury; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial graveside services were held Monday, Sept. 19, at Calvary United Methodist cemetery, with The Rev. Annette Shutt officiating.

Tammy L. Lubold, 38, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, at her home.
Born in Harrisburg, April 8, 1967, she was a daughter of Joseph and Jean Leitzel Hawk, with whom she resided.
She was a member of the New Hope in Christ at Marantha Chapel, Berrysburg.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are her husband, Charles Lubold, Jr. of Berrysburg; a son, Joseph A. Matter of Lykens; two daughters, Nicole L. Matter of Tower City and Ashley M. Matter of Lykens; a sister, Dianne M. Bender of Tower City; two brothers, Keith A. Hawk of Fredericksburg and John A. “Jake” Hawk of Millersburg; and a granddaughter.

Marilyn Lucas
Marilyn M. Lucas, 67, of Elizabethville, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2005.
She was a volunteer with many Elizabethville area senior and juvenile groups.
