Donna A. Facynic
Donna Anders Facynic, 90, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Susquehanna Township, died Monday, November 17, 2003, at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.

Born in Mifflin, May 14, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Bertha C. Donahey Anders.

She was a graduate of the former Port Royal High School. She was a Supervisor for 49 years for the PA Department of Labor and Industry, Unemployment Compensation Division. She was a Charter Member of the Tree of Life Lutheran Church, Susquehanna Township, where she was an active volunteer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Facynic who died August 22, 1998; a sister, Isabelle Anders Boyer Kirkwood who died on January 17, 1988.

Surviving are two nieces, Donna B. Bohn of Camp Hill, who was her caregiver for the last five years, and Jane A. Kapsa of Stow, OH; two nephews, Jack E. Boyer of Port Royal, and Thomas A. Boyer of New Cumberland; one niece-in-law, Rosalie Owens Boyer, who is the wife of her late nephew, Barry M. Boyer; her husband's nephews and nieces, Dr. Tedd Zerbe of Southern New Jersey, Michael Sass of Harrisburg, Nicolas Paul Kuzovich of Renton, WA, Marianne Melleby of Mt. Joy, Paula Daniels of Natick, MA, Patricia Nauditt of Renton, WA and KiKi Kuzovich of Lafayette Hill; two sisters-in-law, Helen Sass of Wiconisco and Anne F. Zerbe of Bernville; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service was held Thursday, November 20, at the Tree of Life Lutheran Church, Susquehanna Township, with the Rev. Richard B. Geib officiating. Interment was at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National cemetery, East Hanover Township.

Memorial contributions to the Tree of Life Lutheran Church, 1492 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110, or to Hospice of Central PA, 98 S. Enola Drive, P.O. Box 266, Enola, PA 17025. Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, was in charge of arrangements.

Florence E. Fenstermacher
Florence E. Fenstermacher, died Sunday, November 16, 2003, at home.

Born in Cressona, December 17, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Emma Fessler Fenstermacher. She was a 1933 graduate of Ashland High School, a 1937 graduate of Juanita College, Huntingdon, and received her master's degree in guidance from Bucknell University, Lewisburg.

She taught English at Tri-Valley High School and was a guidance counselor for 10 years, retiring in 1991. She was a volunteer at Ashland Regional Medical Center, Fountain Springs, until 2000.

She was a member of Bethany ECC, its church choir and previously taught Sunday school for many years.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Marian E. Fenstermacher, who died in 2002.

Services were held Thursday, November 20, in Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Ashland, with the Rev. Bryan Dever officiating. Interment was in Cressona cemetery at the convenience of the family. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc., Ashland, was in charge of arrangements.

Cletus C. Fetter
Cletus C. 'Chickie' Fetter, 78, of Rebuck, died Monday, November 17, 2003, at Sunbury Community Hospital, Sunbury.

Born in Ashland, October 21, 1925, he was a son of the late Clyde E. and Gertie M. Schreffler Fetter. He was educated in the Upper Mahanoy Township schools.

He began working as a custodian for the former Mahanoy Joint School District in 1948 and retired from the Line Mountain School District in 1987. He was a school bus driver for 51 years, having been employed by Bowman Brothers, the Line Mountain School District, and Marvin E. Klinger, Inc.

He was a life member of Himmels Lutheran Church, Rebuck; a member of the Woodmen of the World Lodge Camp 433, Pitman; the Mahanoy Lodge 551 Independent Order of the Odd Fellows, Dornsife; Past Noble Grand of the former Eureka Lodge 260 Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Leck Kill; the Klingerstown Fire Company. He was active with the Rebuck Boy Scouts Troop 311 and an advisor of the Explorer Post 2311 for many years. He was a member of Meadow Brook Hunting Camp near Shade Mountain.

He was preceded in death by a sister, LaRee Wagenseller.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Ruth A Wagner Fetter of Rebuck; three sons, Kerry S. of Smithport, Lee A. of Millersburg, and Dale C. of Rebuck; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 20, from Himmel's Church, Rebuck, with the Rev. Frederick Faust officiating. The Mahanoy Lodge 551 OOF, Dornsife, conducted a service on Wednesday evening. Interment was in Himmel's cemetery, Rebuck.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Himmel's Church Memorial Fund, Rebuck, PA 17867. The Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, RR 1, Klingerstown, was in charge of arrangements.

Wilbert W. Herring Jr.
Wilbert W. Herring Jr., 54, of Halton Road, Pine Grove, died Monday, October 27, 2003.

Born in Pottsville, June 23, 1949, he was a son of the late Wilbert W. Sr. and Mary Lehman Herring. He was a 1968 graduate of Pine Grove High School.

He was a Navy veteran, having served on the USS Constellation and in Vietnam from Nov. 1, 1971 to June 14, 1972. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was in the Army Reserve for eight years.

He was employed as a diesel mechanic at Bartos and also was a self-employed electrician.

Surviving are an uncle; an aunt; cousins.

Memorial service were held Monday, November 24, from H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with the Rev. Richard Kohl officiating. H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, was in charge of arrangements.

Leroy J. Kerstetter
Leroy James Kerstetter, 72, of Halifax, died Monday, November 17, 2003, at home.
Born in Millersburg, he was a son of the late Riley A. Kerstetter and Ida Phillips Kerstetter, who survives him of Elizabethville.

He was retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 0326; VFW Post No. 5507; Capital Area Scottish Rite Club; Susquehanna Lodge No. 364 F&AM; Moose Lodge No. 59; Battle of Ormoc Bay Association; U.S.S. Moale (DD693) Association; Lower Northumberland County Motor Club; Millersburg & Upper Paxton Twp. Historical Society; NARFE Chapter No. 1816; Tin Can Sailors Association of Destroyer Veterans; Millersburg Ferryboat Association; Halifax Fire Co.; Santa Claus for community and various organizations and those in need. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He also attended Jacob's United Methodist Church in Halifax.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, M. Arlene Liddick Kerstetter; a daughter, Linda C. Danner of Halifax; a brother, Donald "Pete" Kerstetter of Millersburg; a grandson, Matthew Kerstetter of Pearl City, HI; a granddaughter, Emilianne Kerstetter of Halifax; and a great granddaughter, Sarah Kerstetter.

Services were held on Friday, November 21, at the Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. Millersburg. Interment with military honors was in Long's cemetery, Halifax.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Halifax Fire Co., 22 S. River Road, Halifax, PA 17032. Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. Millersburg, was in charge of arrangements.

Tina M. Krammes
Tina Marie Krammes, 47, of Hegins, died Thursday, November 20, 2003, at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, October 14, 956, she was a daughter of Robert Maurer of Riverside, CA, and the late Betty Herb Maurer.

She was employed as an optical technician by Reese's Candy, Hershey.

Surviving are her husband of 14 years, Robert Krammes; a son, Chad Deitrich of Manheim; a daughter, Nikole Deitrich of Klingerstown; a step-daughter, Amanda Krammes of Maryland; maternal grandmother, Marie Herb of Tremont; paternal grandmother, Mae Maurer of Hegins; a brother, Rahn Maurer of Hegins; a sister, Bonnie Maurer of Pine Grove; and a grandson.

Religious services were held Tuesday, November 25, from the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with the Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating. Interment was in Fountain cemetery, Fountain.

Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, was in charge of arrangements.

Howard and Erma Miller
Memorial services were held for Howard Miller (Nov. 29, 1909 - Sept. 7, 2003) and Erma Miller (Mar. 19, 1917 - July 24, 2003) on Saturday November, 22, from the Hoover Funeral Home Inc., Millersburg. Mausoleum encryptment was at Oak Hill cemetery and Mausoleum, Millersburg.

Timothy M. Scheib
Timothy Michael Scheib, 28, of Lansdale, died Friday, November 14, 2003, in Philadelphia, as the result of injuries from an automobile accident.

Born in Norristown, August 10, 1975, he was a son of Roger Scheib of Bridgeport, and Louise Maurer Scheib of East Norriton.

He was a 1994 graduate of Wissahickon High School. He was employed at Duke's Safety Wash Fire Hose Company, West Conshohocken. He was a member of Central Schwenkfelder Church, Worcester.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Mary Maurer of Valley View; a daughter, Kaeleigh Scheib of Lansdale; two sisters, Vicki Troutman of Hegins, and Tammy DeMito of East Norriton; a friend, Alissa Villante of Lansdale; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 21, at Central Schwenkfelder Church, with the Rev. Karen Gallagher officiating and on Saturday, November 22, at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, with the Rev. George Reynolds officiating. Interment was in St. Andrew's cemetery, Valley View.

Donations may be made to Kaeleigh Scheib Trust Fund, c/o Tammy DeMito, 503 Stony Way, East Norriton, PA 19403. The Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, was in charge of arrangements.

Melvin L. Zarker
Melvin L. Zarker, age 65, of Pine Grove, died November 15, 2003, in Shippensburg.

He was a retired employee of the following; the former Hilliards Atlantic; the former Telegraph Press, both of Harrisburg; was a school bus operator for Jecks Service Center, Pine Grove; and a security officer at Hershey Park.

He attended the former Lykens High School, was an active member of First Baptist Church, Lykens, and had many interests and hobbies.

Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Thelma E. Kilgore Zarker; his children, Kenneth, and Janice Zarker Gontz, both of Harrisburg; Douglas of Loyalton, Darlene Zarker Huff of Shippensburg, and Daniel of Honolulu, Hawaii; a sister, Kay Davis of Newville; two brothers, Donald of Duncannon and John of Etters; and 8 grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Friday, November 21, at his church, with the Rev. Charles C. Flaesch and the Rev. Paul Rainbow officiating. Interment was in Calvary United Methodist cemetery, Wiconisco.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, in memory of Melvin L. Zarker, 700 Main Street, Lykens, PA 17048.

John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, was in charge of arrangements.

Morgan A. Carr
Morgan Anne Carr, infant daughter of Chad E. and Stacey L. Barry Carr of Halifax, died Thursday, November 13, 2003, at Harrisburg Hospital.

Survived are paternal grandparents, Carol Laudenslager and Leonard H. Carr, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Kathy K. Miller and Ray Barry Sr.; a sister Taylor E. Carr of Halifax; an uncle Scott Miller; great aunts Barb Carr, Deb Noblit, and Melissa Coleman; aunt and uncle Leonard Jr. and Doris Carr; and aunt and uncle Laco and Pam Carr.

Services were held on Monday, November 17, at Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc., Millersburg. Interment was in Zion Lutheran Church cemetery, Rife.

Ronald A. Chubb
Ronald A. Chubb, 60, of Millersburg, died Sunday, November 16, 2003.

Born in Paxton, July 29, 1943, he was a son of the late Marlin and Mildred Messner Chubb.

He had been employed at the former Johnson and Bailey Co., Millersburg. He was a member of the Millersburg American Legion No. 326.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Henry Chubb, Robert Chubb, James Chubb and Terry Chubb.

Surviving are his companion of 33 years, Claire Koppenhaver of Millersburg; three sons, Robert Chubb of Harrisburg, and Rickey Chubb and John Chubb, both of Elizabethville; two Daughters, Tammy Rickert and Jennifer Leitzel, both of Millersburg; four step-sons, Robert Koppenhaver of Hegins; Ronald Koppenhaver of Bedford, Randall Koppenhaver of Lykens, and Rodney Koppenhaver of Millersburg; 19 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday, November 20, at Hoover Funeral Home Inc., Millersburg at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Tim Dotson officiating.

Interment will be private in Oak Hill cemetery. Viewing will be held at the funeral home of Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday afternoon from 1 to 2 p.m.

Memorial Donations may be made to Pinnacle Health Hospice, 3705 Elmwood Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Hoover Funeral Home Inc., Millersburg, is in charge of arrangements.

Gary B. Drey
Gary B. Drey, 61, of Friendly Nursing Home, Pitman, formerly of Schuylkill Haven, died Wednesday, November 12, 2003, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Pottsville, May 11, 1942, he was a son of Helen I. Reed Drey, Schuylkill Haven, and the late Robert F. Drey.

He was preceded in death by four step-sisters, Thelma Baum, Betty Wagner, Mary Mengle and Ethel Rose; a stepbrother, Richard Drey.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are three brothers, Robert Drey, Trexlertown, Jack Drey, Orwigsburg, and Ronald Drey, Schuylkill Haven; a sister, Karen Stabinski, Forestville; nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday, November 17, from Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuyllkill Haven. Interment was in Union cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.
