Kenneth L. Deibler
Kenneth L. Deibler, 81, of Elizabethville, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at his residence.
Born March 30, 1923, he was a son of the late Herbert and Laura Wentzel Deibler.
He served the local area as an insurance agent and broker for over 43 years. He was retired from the Kenneth L. Deibler Insurance Agency and remained a consultant to the current agency of Deibler, Straub, & Troutman of Elizabethville. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre in Guam. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Community Banks and attended David's Church in Killinger, where he served on the Evangelism Committee. He had served as a volunteer of the Elizabethville Fire Co., a Sunday school superintendent and teacher at Peace UCC in Berrysburg, Past Grand Tall Cedar and member of Tall Cedars Forest No. 125, Ashlar Lodge No. 570 F&AM; , Harrisburg Consistory, John Lloyd American Legion Post No. 404, VFW Post No. 5507 and Associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police 41-A.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, D. Irene Barry Deibler; two daughters, Patricia Russell of Millersburg, and Diane, Fisher of Elizabethville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday April 28, at 11 a.m., at David's Church in Killinger. Viewing will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Private interment will be in Maple Grove cemetery, Elizabethville.

Paul J. Huratiak
Paul J. Huratiak, 71, of Tower City, died Monday, April 19, 2004, at Harrisburg Hospital.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 1603; and a social member of the following organizations: Liberty Hose C. No. 2, Lykens, Wiconisco Fire Co., and the American legion Post No. 239, Williamstown.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria R. Coles Huratiak; a son, gene L. of Tower City; a daughter, JoDee A. Speck of Lebanon; his mother, Marguerite C. Dietrich of Wiconisco; three sisters, Marlene Maurer of Wiconsico, Mary Carol Timko of Lykens, and Phyllis Maurer of Halifax; and two grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 23, at the John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens. The John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, was in charge of arrangements.
Harold D. Ketner
Harold D. Ketner, 70, of Tremont, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Cressona, Febraury 7, 1934, he was a son of the late Clarence and Florence Mohl Ketner.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He retired from Gold Mills, Pine Grove.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3432, Pine Grove, and Swatara Lodge 267 F&AM; , Tremont.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dora Ditzler and Fernley Reichert; and a brother, Jay.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, the former Margaret Wetzel; three daughters, Tina Davis of Shenandoah, and Tammy Huber and Ann Daubert, both of Pine Grove; two brothers, Bright of Enola, and Franklin of Boyertown; two sisters, Gladys Krause of Redlands, Calif., and Erma Heffner of Pine Grove; six grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, April 24, from Minnig-Berger Funeral Home, Tremont, with the Rev. Liddy Howard officiating. Interment was in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Minnig-Berger Funeral Home, Tremont, was in charg of arangements.
Glenn D. Koppenhaver, Sr.
Glenn D. "Peanut" Koppenhaver, Sr., 78, of Orwin, died Monday, April 19, 2004, at the Harrisburg Hospital.
Born in Orwin, October 22, 1925, he was a son of the late Harry and Mabel Adams Koppenhaver.
He was a graduate of Porter Twp. High School and was a retired mechanic from Ft. Indiantown Gap, Annville. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a member of the National Guard at Ft. Indiantown Gap. Glenn was of the Protestant Faith and was a member of the Orwin Fire Company and the USS Mass. Alumni.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Jackie Masarik in 1993; four brothers, Leo, Harry, Tom and Bob; and a sister, Mae Thompson.
Surviving are two sons, Glenn D., Jr., of Tower City and David L. of Orwin; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, April 23, from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., Tower City. Interment was in Ft. Indiantown Gap National cemetery. Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., Tower City, was in charge of arrangements.
Stanley A. Mikos
Stanley A. Mikos, 79, of Pine Grove, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, February 26, 1925, he was a son of the late Antoni and Karolina Kulig Mikos.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He retired as an engineering technician from the U.S. Civil Service.
He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3432, Pine Grove.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Catherine Hannum, on March 13, 1993; a son, Gregory D., in 1997; a grandson, Scott Mikos.
Surviving are three sons, Stanley P. of Philadelphia, Anthony G. of Pine Grove, and Gerald A. of Lake Wynonah; a sister, Sister Ann Brunner of Philadelphia; and five grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, April 27, at St. Ambrose Church. Interment was in Indiantown Gap National cemetery, Annville. Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Cressona, was in charge of arrangements.
Nora Miller
Nora Miller, 89, of Wiconisco, died Monday, April 19, 2004, at Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Miller; a sister, Catherine Shadle; and two brothers, Nicholas and Joseph Denkovich.
Surviving are two sons, Eugene "Mush" Miller, Elizabethville and Sergius J. Miller, Wiconisco; three brothers, Stephen Denkovich, Northumberland, Charles Denkovich, Herndon, and John Denkovich, Lincoln, Nebraska, four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 23, at the John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, with Rev. Fr. Michael H. Evans officiating. Interment was in Calvary United Methodist cemetery, Wiconsico. John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, was in charge of arrangements.
John R. Paul
John Richard Paul, 54, of RR 1, Herndon, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Hebe, December 24, 1949, he was a son of the late Marlin and Lena Maurer Paul.
He was employed as a mechanic.
He was a member of Zion Stone Valley United Lutheran Church, Dalmatia; an active member of the Pillow Fire Co.; and the Pillow Fire Police.
He was preceded in death by a son, Chris; and two brothers, Larry and Dennis.
Surviving are his wife, Cathy L. Rebuck Paul; four sons, Steven, Michael, and Brian, all of Sunbury, and Matthew of Herndon; two daughters, Jennifer Paul, and Amy Paul, both of Sunbury; a brother, Dean Paul of Dalmatia; four sisters, Esther Kolva of Millersburg, Sandra Erdman of Herndon, and Barbara Pardoe and Cindy Martz, both of Sunbury; and six grandchildren.
Religious services were held Tuesday, April 27, at Rebuck Wesleyan Church, Rebuck. Interment was in Stone Valley cemetery, Dalmatia.

Lois J. Rothermel, 66, of Millersburg, died Monday, April 12, 2004, of natural causes at her residence.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Johanna Wright Redinger.
She was retired as a registered nurse for the State of PA; was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Millersburg; Millersburg Art Association; Red Hat Society of Millersburg and Penn Ferry Doll Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. David Rothermel.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Hirsch of Millersburg; a son, Mark of Millersburg; a brother, Louis Redinger of Bristol, PA; a sister, Johannah Snell of Stratford, NJ; and five grandchildren.
Memorial services were held on Thursday, April 22, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Millersburg. Interment was in Zion Lutheran cemetery, Rife.

Janet M. Rutter
Janet M. Rutter, 82, formerly of Millersburg, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at Select Specialty Hospital at Holy Spirit, Camp Hill.
She was born in Millersburg on February 16, 1922.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the church choir of Millersburg, a member of the VFW No. 5507 Auxiliary and a member of the Millersburg and Upper Paxton Twp. Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Rutter; and by two grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Douglas of Duncannon and Gregory of New Cumberland; a daughter, Karen Himmelreich of Birdsboro; a brother, Evan Bostdorf of Millersburg; a sister, Nancy Snyder of Williamstown; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Services were held on Tuesday, April 27, at Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. Millersburg. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery, Millersburg.

Elizabeth A. Stewart
Elizabeth Anne Stewart, infant daughter of Jason A. and Megan A. Basara Stewart of Klingerstown, was stillborn on Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at the M. S. Hershey medical Center, Hershey.
Surviving in addition to her parents are a sister, Isabelle A. Stewart at home; maternal grandparents, Anne and Michael Basara of Blue Bell; paternal grandparents, James Gregory Stewart of Blue Bell, and Jane Elizabeth Moore of Cochranville; and a maternal great-grandmother, Jean Basara of Philadelphia.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown, has charge of arrangements.
Jean M. Stump
Jean M. Stump, 73, of Pine Grove, died Friday, April 23, 2004, at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Pine Grove, June 7, 1930, she was a daughter of the late George and Nora DeWald Herring.
She was a member of Salem Hetzel's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove, and a life member of Roedersville Game and Fish Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey F., who died on April 3, 1995; and a step-brother, Lester Hain.
Surviving are a son, Wayne Herring of Pine Grove; and a niece, Susan Klinger, Souderton.

Dale M. Williard
Dale M. Williard, 52, of Spring Glen, died Sunday, April 18, 2004, at home.
Born in Klingerstown, September 19, 1951, he was a son of the late Melvin H. and Elsie J. Boyer Williard, and stepson of the late Daisy A. Troutman Kessler Williard. He was a 1970 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was a shipping clerk at New Cumberland Army Depot.
He was of the Lutheran faith, and a member of Havice Valley Hunting Camp, Mifflin County.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Williard, in 1945, and Cheryl D. Tobias, in 1985.
Surviving are his wife, the former Nopharat Kitkrang, whom he married
March 29, 1974; a son, Richard M. of RR1 Klingerstown; a brother, Larry L. Williard of Valley View; a step-brother, Jack Kessler of RD Lykens; a step-sister, Norma Straub of RD Lykens; nieces and nephews.
