Andrew Juritsko
Andrew Juritsko, 83, of Tremont, died Thursday, June 24, 2004, at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Branchdale, August 27, 1920, he was a son of the late John and Mary Leyko Juritsko.
He was a graduate of the former Reilly Township High School.
He was a retired coal miner from the former Mercury Coal Co., Donaldson.
He was a member of the Little Run Sportsman's Club, Tremont, Newtown Fire Company and was a former member of the Tremont Sewer Authority. He was also a member of the Pennsylvania Voters Hall of Fame after voting in at least 50 consecutive general elections.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda E. Juritsko, in 1946; a brother, John; four sisters, Margaret Adams, Annie Karmazin and two who died in infancy.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, the former Alma L. Neal; a son, Andrew G. of Donaldson; three daughters, Patricia Cleary of Pine Grove, Susan Scheib of Tower City, and Judy Graver of Zerbe; two sisters, Betty Holland of Branchdale, and Helen Lodge of Reading; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at Minnig-Berger Funeral Home, Tremont. Interment will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Greek Catholic Cemetery, Llewellyn. Minnig-Berger Funeral Home, Tremont, is in charge of arrangements.
Peggy D. Karl
Peggy D. Karl, 78, of Millersburg, died Monday, June 21, 2004, at Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
She was a retired laborer of Nu-Box in Harrisburg.
Surviving are a son, John E. Karl of Middletown; two daughters, Debra Karl of Millersburg and Mary Hess of Harrisburg; a brother, William Given of Harrisburg; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services were held on Friday, June 25, at the Dailey Funeral Home, Penbrook, with Rev. Robert Stoudt officiating. Interment was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Betty I. Lebo
Betty I. Lebo, 75, of Halifax died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at the Carolyn Croxton Slane hospice residence in Harrisburg.
Born in Loyalton she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Lebo Killinger.
She was a retired beautician from the former Minnie Rutter's beauty salon in Millersburg. She was a member and pianist at Faith U.M. Church in Fisherville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lebo; a step-father Leroy Shepley; and a half-brother Lee Shepley.
Surviving are a step-brother Jack Shepley of Lykens; and nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Friday June 25, at Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc, . in Millersburg. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.

Elvin D. Morgan
Elvin D. Morgan, 52, of Hegins, died Thursday, June 24, at his residence.
Born in Hegins, June 26, he was a son of Betty G. Carl Morgan of Hegins, and the late Charles E. Morgan.
He was a 1969 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. He was a retired correctional officer from Graterford Correctional Facility. He was an Army veteran having served as a SP5 in the Vietnam War. He was a friend of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View; and a 29 year member of the American Legion Post 575, Valley View.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Judy P. Morgan.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife of six years, Edna M. Rice Morgan; three sons, Bryan K. Morgan of RD Ashland, Jeremy D. Richards of RD Hegins, and Christopher C. Morgan of Hegins; two brothers, Leonard D. Morgan and Barry L. Morgan, both of Valley View; a sister, Doris M. Morgan of Valley View; and nine grandchildren.
Religious services were held on Tuesday, June 29, at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, with the Rev. George Reynolds officiating. Interment with military honors was in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.

Anna P. Snyder
Anna P. Snyder, 86, formerly of RR1 Lykens, a resident of the Kepler Nursing Home, Elizabethville, died Friday, June 25, 2004, 2004, at Harrisburg Hospital.
Born at RR1 Dornsife, December 3, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Emerson and Emma Kieffer Morgan. She was educated in Leck Kill area schools.
She was a retired presser at Puritan Fashions, Millersburg, retiring in 1980.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Elizabethville, Elizabethville Senior Citizens and the Amalgamated Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy W., on June 6, 1980; three children, Melvin Snyder, Shirley Snyder and an infant son; two sisters, Vertie Heim and Grace Starr; two brothers, John and Earl Morgan.
Surviving are four daughters, Corrine Shade of RD Lykens, Nancy Bohr of Tower City, Mary Troutman of Elizabethville, and Debbie Joseph of Millersburg; three sons, Robert Snyder of RR1 Shamokin, James Snyder of Lykens, and David Snyder of Elizabethville; three sisters, Marie Weaver of Halifax, Ruth Weaver of Kissimmee, Fla., and Mary Morgan of Valley View; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 29, at Salem United Church of Christ, Elizabethville, with the Rev. Rodger L. Snyder officiating. Interment was in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.

Warren G. Williams
Warren G. "Googs" Williams, 82, of Williamstown, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at the Harrisburg Hospital.
Born in Tower City, October 5, 1921, he was a son of the late Warren and Hattie Williams.
He was retired from the Cumberland Army Depot and had worked in the past at the former Middletown Depot and Mechanicsburg Navy Depot. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Elizabethville and was on the church Parish Life Committee and also helped in the kitchen for various church functions. He had memberships with the American Legion No. 468, Tower City; VFW Post No. 6343, Elizabethville; Indiantown Gap Memorial Council; Lions Club; DAV, Tower City. He was a vocalist for local the Big Band "After Hours", and had been a drummer for the Liberty Hose House No. 2 Band, Lykens.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth H. Hain Williams.
Surviving are a daughter, Jaunita J. Batdorf, Harrisburg; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held at his church on Friday, June 25, with the Rev. Nancy L. Weiss officiating. Interment with military honors was at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Irvin E. Wolfgang
Irvin E. Wolfgang, 76, of Harrisburg, formerly of Williamstown, died Monday, June 21, 2004.
Born August 24, 1927 in Spring Glen, he was the son of the late Thomas Wolfgang and Tillie Welker Wolfgang Mausser.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, retiring from the Sacramento, CA, Army Base where he served as a preservation packer.
Surviving are his wife, Caroline Walton Brewster Wolfgang; five children, Bradley Wolfgang of CA, Lucinda Wolfgang of Harrisburg, David Wolfgang, John Wolfgang, and Clayton Wolfgang, all of CA; two sisters, Jean Coleman and June Stutzman, both of Valley View; a brother, Thomas Wolfgang of Audubon; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of his Life was held at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Friday, June 25, with the Rev. Martha Boyer officiating.

Judith A. Bailey
Judith A. Bailey, 60, of Tower City, died Sunday, June 20, 2004, at her home.
Born in Tower City, February 3, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth R. and Mary L. Knarr Thompson.
She was a graduate of the former Porter-Tower High School and Franklin Academy.
She was employed as a medical assistant at the office of Dr. William Nasuti, Tower City.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lance "Nitz, " who died in 1995.
Surviving are a brother, Gerald Thompson of Tower City; two sisters Beth Shive of Williamstown, and Brenda Thompson of Tower City; a niece; a nephew; and a great-niece.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery, Orwin.

Blanche I. Bixby
Blanch I. Bixby, 87 of Sharon Center, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at the Waters of Allegheny, Allegheny, NY.
Born October 3, 1916, in Forty Fort, she was a daughter of the late William L. and Jennie M. Stutzman Tobias.
She was a 1933 graduate of Hegins Township High School. In 1938 she graduated from Mansfield State Teachers College with a BS degree in home economics and then taught at Shinglehouse High School.
On August 12, 1939 in the Frieden's United Church of Christ, Hegins, she married Frank Bixby, Jr., who died on June 15, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Eva Williams.
Surviving are a son, Frank R. of Hoschton, GA; two daughters, Rose Ann Perkins of Olean, NY, and Sally A Schofield of Williamsville, NY; a brother, William 'Billy' Tobias of Sinking Spring; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family from the Virgil L. Howard Funeral, Shinglehouse. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.
William R. Bonawitz
William R. Bonawitz, 73, of Millersburg, died Sunday, June 20, 2004, at Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg.
Born in Upper Paxton Twp., he was a son of the late Paul and Dorothy Schwalm Bonawitz.
He retired from Harman Stove in Halifax. He was a member of Millersburg Legion No. 326; Millersburg VFW No. 5507; and Lower Mahanoy Twp. Fire Co.
He was Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell.
Surviving are a son, Tony of Berrysburg; four brothers, Paul, Jr. of Harrisburg, Elmer of Farmington, NM, Robert of Dornsife, and Dale of Millersburg; four sisters, Marie Fetterolf and Betty Fulkroad, both of Millersburg, Virginia Matt of Akron, PA, and Doris Glace of Dalmatia; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Bonawitz.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 23, at 11 a.m., at Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. in Millersburg. Interment with military honors will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Homer K. Etzweiler
Homer K. Etzweiler, 84, of Millersburg, formerly of Carsonville, died Monday, June 21, 2004, at the Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg.
Born in Carsonville, July 20, 1919, he was a son of the late Claude and Edna Enterline Etzweiler.
He was a retired farmer and machinist from the former TRW plant, Harrisburg.
Surviving are a brother, Cleon Etzweiler of Millersburg; two sisters, Iola Keiter and Iona Keiter, both of Pottsville; a nephew.
