Lillian Weber, 97, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000, in Highland Nursing Center. She was born Sept. 8, 1902, in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Weber was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Spring Hill. Survivors include two granddaughters, Kimberly Anderson and Karen Carter; and three great-grandchildren, Michael Boothe, Amber Anderson and Lee Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Weber, and a daughter, Lillian Renner. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon Friday in SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, with the Rev. H. William Dambach officiating. Burial will be private.

John J. "Greenie" Wojciak, 92, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000, in Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born Sept. 23, 1907, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Andrew and Philomenia Sroka Wojciak. He was a member of the Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. In addition, he was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and the Mt. Pleasant Firemen's Club. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Brennan Coal Company, Central Mine and Carpentertown Mine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Ann Hoffman Wojciak, in 1999; and three sisters , Rose Pajak, Mary Hendricks and Margaret Marie Scrabot. He is survived by a brother, Andrew Wojciak of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Ann Brezinski of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers -in-law, Robert Hoffman of Mt. Pleasant and Casimer Scrabot of Tarrs; two sisters -in-law, Helen Gardner and Jane Hoffman, both of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by 10 a.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated in the Transfiguration R.C. Church with the Rev. Michael W. Matusak as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 2 p.m.

Linda M. "Tootie" Postlethwait Aaron, 46, of Greensburg, formerly of Jeannette, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000, at home. She was born March 25, 1954, in Greensburg, a daughter of Anna Marie Hoak Postlethwait of Irwin and the late Raymond Postlethwait. She worked as a sales clerk at Kmart and enjoyed making crafts. In addition to her mother , she is survived by her husband, Charles L. "CL" Aaron Jr.; a son, James Ray at home; a brother, Raymond D. Postlethwait Sr. of Jeannette; a sister, Kathy M. Humberger of Jeannette; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. David D. Hunte officiating. Edward J. Back (Markovich), 43, of Penn, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000, in the Monsour Medical Center, Jeannette. He was born March 1, 1957, in Greensburg, a son of the late Edward and Grace Sloan Back Markovich and stepson to the late Carl Markovich. He was employed as a custodian for the Penn-Trafford School District at Penn-Trafford High School and McCullough Elementary School in Claridge. Surviving are two sons , Matthew J. and Andrew E. Back of Penn Township; a sister, Jodi Rindt and her husband, Joseph; three brothers , Richard Markovich and his wife, Kimberly, Brian Markovich and his wife, Mindy, and Jeff Markovich, all of Penn Township; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received at the JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 504 Oak St., Irwin, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. D. Mary Ann Delmaster, 67, of Port Vue, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000, in the Baptist Homes, Castle Shannon. She was born May 21, 1933, in Duquesne, the daughter of the late Stanley and Dorothy Dovich Stojakovich. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. Delmaster. She was a member of St. Mark's Parish/St. Joseph's Worship Site, Port Vue. Survivors include three sons , Steven and wife, Debra Zyvith Delmaster, of Elizabeth, David and wife, Rose Donofrio Delmaster, of Aliquippa and Richard and wife, Karen Czuba Delmaster, of Greensburg; a daughter, Cynthia Langford and husband, Mark, of Olney, Texas ; 10 grandchildren; and two brothers , Nicholas Stojakovich of Syracuse, N.Y., and Stanley Stojakovich of Manassas, Va. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at HUNTER-EDMUNDSON-STRIFFLER, McKeesport. Beverly Ann (Kytchak) Detar, 37, of Rillton, died suddenly on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000, at UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland. She was born Oct. 27, 1962, in McKeesport, a daughter of Metro "Mitch" Kytchak of Lowber and the late Julia (Klus) Kytchak, in 1995. Beverly was a graduate of Yough Senior High School in Herminie and also graduated from the Westmoreland County Community College, with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She was a former employee of UPMC McKeesport and also Three Rivers Family Hospice. Beverly loved spending time with her husband and family, camping, fishing and also going to the beach. Beverly is survived by her husband of 16 years, Anthony J. Detar; two sons , Anthony Chad of Irwin RD1 and Justin Matthew Detar, living at home; a daughter, Deanna Renee Detar of Irwin RD1 and her fiance, Jason Schutter; a granddaughter, Madison Jane Schutter; a brother, Larry M. Kytchak of North Huntingdon; a sister, Sharon Golobish and her husband, Rudy, of Rillton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JOSEPH W. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret (Dunlap) Griffin; a son, Father David Griffin, O.S.B., of St. Vincent Archabbey; and a sister, Rose Griffin Ferraro of Pittsburgh. He was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Frances Griffin; and four brothers , Edward, Lawrence, Thomas and Hugh Griffin. Melvin 'Bob' Reed Keller

Melvin "Bob" Reed Keller, 77, of Mt. Lebanon, died peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2000, surrounded by family. He was the dearly beloved husband of Dora Massaro Keller; loving Father of Cynthia Keller Richey of Mt. Lebanon, Melissa L. Keller Appel of Apple Valley, Calif., Chaplain (Major) Eric Reed Keller of Fort Leavenworth, Kan., and Kevin Lane Keller of Hanover, N.H.; loving grandfather of Keith and Brett Richey, Erika and Joshua Keller, Lee Appel, Carolyn and Allison Keller; and brother of Melva Rose Teegarden of San Diego, Calif. He graduated from the University of Colorado in 1949 with a B.S. in aerospace engineering; received his M.S. in nuclear physics and engineering in 1953; and did graduate work in mathematics at Stanford University and in nuclear rocket propulsion at UCLA. He entered the Armed Forces in 1942, and served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II. After joining the U.S. Air Force in 1950, he served as project engineer in the Propulsion Laboratory Rocket Unit; as chief of the Engineering Unit, Air Force Institute of Technology; professor in the AFIT Physics Department, professor of nuclear physics at the Air Force Academy; and director of the Energetics Research Lab at Aerospace Research Laboratories, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. He received the Air Force R & D Outstanding Achievement Award in 1964 and holds the Air Force Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster. He retired from the Air Force in 1968 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and joined Westinghouse in Pittsburgh, serving in the nuclear division until he retired in 1979. Memorial service to be held at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 799 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, on Saturday, August 5, at 3 p.m. Interment with full military honors in his hometown, La Monte, Mo. will be on Monday, August 7.
