Ahlgren Infant
Brendan J. Ahlgren, infant son of Suzanne (Frisch) Ahlgren of Palmerton, died after birth Saturday in the St. Luke Hospital, Fountain Hill, Bethlehem.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two brothers, Alix and Damon, and a sister Cariss, all at home; maternal grandmother, Margaret Shinsec of Palmerton; and maternal great-grandmother, Margaret Bowers of Lehighton.

Mrs. Marvin M. Staudt
Mrs. Ruth M. Staudt, 68, of 166 Penn St., Lehighton, died Monday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Marvin M. Staudt. They observed their 52nd wedding anniversary on Jan. 10.
She worked for Scotty's Fashions, Lehighton, for many years.
Born in Eustis, Fla., she was daughter of the late David A. and Maggie (McDonald) Arnold.
She was a member of Peoples Evangelical Congregational Church, East Weissport.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four daughters, Ruth Ann, wife of Charles L. Soldano of Campbell, Calif., Barbara J. Babinchak of Lugoff, S.C., Susan L., wife of John J. Schneider of Lehighton, and Dawn E., wife of John J. Vanek of San Jose, Calif.; a son, David J. of Charlottesville, Va.; a sister, Irene Sexton of Frankfort, Ind.; two grandsons and nieces and nephews.

Donald C. Fisher
Donald C. Fisher, 67, of Allentown and Philadelphia, died Sunday in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
He was vice president of manufacturing of the former Keystone Lamp Manufacturing Company, Slatington, before retiring in 1989. He began working with the company in 1956 as a manufacturing engineer.
Born in Freeland, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Susan (Sholtis) Fisher.
He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown, where he was a reader for Sunday services and a member of the future planning committee. He created paintings of Jesus and St. Paul which are displayed in the church's main sanctuary, and also has paintings in the Malvern Retreat Home in Chester County.
Fisher was a 1948 graduate of the Mining and Mechanical Institute, Freeland, and a 1952 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in industrial engineering.
Surviving are two brothers, LeRoy of Sarasota, Fla., and Robert K. of Odenton, Md.; two sisters, Dorothy Schaar of Pottsville and Evelyn, wife of Loren Beck of Rochester, N.Y.; and nieces and nephews.
Edward F. Lipsky Jr.
Edward F. Lipsky Jr., 41, of Eldred Township, Monroe County, died Sunday in his home.
He owned and operated Ed's Plumbing, Kunkletown, until earlier this year. For the past two months, he was a machine operator for John P. Coyman, Inc., Bethlehem.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of Edward F. Sr. and Doreen A. "Tootie" (Lasko) Lipsky of Salisbury Township.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a son Joshua, stationed in Kitzgen, Germany, with the U.S. Army; two daughters, Daria and Des Marie, both of Point Phillips; a brother, Joseph J. of Allentown; and a sister, Kelly L., wife of Michael Lutseo of Bethlehem.
Mrs. Verna R. Adams
Mrs. Verna R. Adams, 68, of 1030 Ridgewood Ave., Nescopeck, Luzerne County, died Sunday in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Montour County. She was the widow of Lloyd Adams.
Born in Noxen, Wyoming County, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Ellen (Wilson) Deater.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Berwick.
Among her survivors is a daughter Carol, wife of Tom Dorward of Emerald.
Clarence H. Deibert
Clarence H. Deibert, 85, of 1332 S. Third St., Allentown, died Sunday in the Centre Community Hospital, State College, Centre County. He was the husband of Pauline (Duschak) Deibert.
He was a machinist for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation for many years and a salesman for Shub-Erb Brush Co., East Greenville, for many years.
Born in Slatington, he was a son of the late Raymond and Hazel (Seals) Deibert.
He was a member of the Blue Masonic Lodge No. 440, Slatington, and a Shriner in the Rajah Temple, Reading.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter Linda, wife of Robert Becker of State College; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Lillian S. Kistler
Mrs. Lillian S. Kistler, 93, formerly of Allentown, died Monday in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the widow of William L. Kistler.
Born in Lynnville, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Alice (Kressley) Snyder.
She was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Lynnville.
Surviving are a son, William L. of New Tripoli; and five grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Sproger.
Stephen Kaszmetskie
Stephen Kaszmetskie, 62, of Box 77, Zion Grove R.1, Schuylkill County, died Sunday in the Hazleton General Hospital. He was the husband of Julia (Gottstein) Kaszmetskie.
He was self-employed as a farmer in the Zone Grove area and was a regular vendor at the Mahoning Farmers Market, Mahoning Township, for many years.
Born in Zion Grove, he was a son of the late Michael and Veronica Kaszmetskie.
He was of the Protestant faith.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Stephen Jr. of Mt. Carmel; a daughter, Lorette Malloy of Zion Grove; two brothers, John of Reading and Richard of Zion Grove; a sister, Agnes Kredle in New Jersey; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ethel M. Hughes
Mrs. Ethel M. Hughes, 99, of the Luther Crest Retirement Community, Allentown, and formerly of Tamaqua, died Monday in the Luther Crest Health Center, Allentown. She was the widow of George W. Hughes, who died in 1964.
Prior to her marriage, she was employed as a legal secretary by the former Graeff Law Offices, Tamaqua.
Born in Tamaqua, she was a daughter of the late Conrad and Dorothy (Schilbe) Bonschier.
Mrs. Hughes was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua. She was also a member of the church's Women's Mission Society, Lutheran Church Women and past vice-president, treasurer and secretary of the Women's Bible Class.
A 1916 graduate of Tamaqua High School, she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the former Tamaqua Garden Club.
She is survived by a son, the Rev. Dr. Robert G. Hughes, president of the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Philadelphia; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Quinton M. Berger
Quinton M. Berger, 83, of 142 Cherryhill Road, Franklin Township, died Tuesday morning in his home. He was the husband of Frances M. (Schweitzer) Berger.
He was a milkman in the Lehighton area for 39 years before retiring, having first worked for Ulysses Ebert and later for Fairyland Farms and the Lehigh Valley Dairy. He later worked for the Viking Injector Company, Inc., Franklin Township.
Born in Franklin Township, he was a son of the late Frank and Lulu (Dotter) Berger.
He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ Union Church, Big Creek, Franklin Township.
Surviving in addition to his widow is a sister Thelma, wife of Harold Eckhart of Ashfield.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary and Betty.

Berger addition: Quinton M. Berger, 83, of 142 Cherryhill Road, Franklin Township, who died Aug. 12, was also preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Leah Mangold.
Theresa Stawiarski
Theresa "Tessie" Stawiarski of 426 E. Water St., Coaldale, died Tuesday in her home.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence J. and Anna (Stelmach) Stawiarski.
She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lansford.
Surviving are three brothers, Joseph and John, both of Summit Hill, and Lawrence, with whom she resided; a sister Wanda, with whom she also resided; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister Helen; and a brother Walter.

Mrs. Viola F. Barnes
Mrs. Viola F. Barnes, 86, of Stroudsburg, died Tuesday in Pleasant Valley Manor, Snydersville. She was the widow of C. Arthur Barnes.
Born in Albrightsville, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Estella (Getz) Berger.
Surviving are a daughter, Jean Howe of Bartonsville; four sons, Chester A. of Stroudsburg, Kenneth W. of Stroudsburg R.1 and Howard M. and James F., both of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Clarence A. Gotthardt
Clarence A. "Curley" Gotthardt, 78, of Allentown, died Tuesday in Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Bertalan) Gotthardt.
He worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 19 years before retiring in 1981, and previously was a retail shoe salesman for the former Triplex Shoes, Allentown. After retirement, he was a bartender for V.F.W. Post 2124, Allentown, for many years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late George and Eva (Trexler) Gotthardt.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of V.F.W. Post 2124.
Gotthardt was a member of the Fearless and Mountainville fire companies, both of Allentown, where he participated in the golf and bowling leagues for many years.
Surviving are a companion, Dorothea "Sis" Walck, with whom he resided; a son, Robert J. of Zionsville; two daughters, Margaret C. Correll of Bethlehem and Marian L. of Schnecksville; five sisters, Mrs. Mildred Zimmerman of Barberton, Ohio, Mrs. Hilda Hubler of Swanton, Vt., Barbara, wife of Richard Fenstermaker of Brodheadsville, and Mrs. Carrie Beitler and Elizabeth, wife of Harry Hausman, both of Allentown; five brothers, Russell, Kenneth and Arthur, all of Allentown, George Jr. of Bethlehem and James of Sellersville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
