William F. Leasure
Pittsburgh

William F. "Frank" Leasure, 94, of Pittsburgh, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at his home. Born March 12, 1906, in Madison, Pa., a son of the late Hugh Logan and Mary Martha Fisher Leasure. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Peoples Natural Gas Co. as chief electrician. He was a member of the Bower Hill Community Church in Mt. Lebanon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters , Grace Achtzehn and Margaret Leasure; and a brother, Fred Leasure. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, E. Marie Martin Leasure; a son, Byron D. Leasure of Perkasie, Pa.; a daughter, Vivian L. Fondy of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 5, at 1 p.m. in the Bower Hill Community Church, 70 Moffett St., Mt. Lebanon, with Dr. David Ensign officiating. Private interment will be in the Madison Union Cemetery, Madison. Family requests no flowers and suggests donations be made to the Bower Hill Community Church, 70 Moffett St., Pittsburgh, PA 15243, in memory of William F. Leasure.

Ruth T. Lederbrink
Shaler

Ruth T. Lederbrink, 80, of Shaler, died Tuesday, August 1, 2000. She was the beloved wife of 59 years to Raymond H. Lederbrink, Sr.; beloved mother of Raymond H. Lederbrink, Jr., Wayne G. Lederbrink and Cheryl Savatt. She was also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 ro 9 p.m. Thursday in the HEALY HAHN FUNERAL HOME INC., 425 Grant Ave., Millvale. A Christian Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church.

George Lori Sr.
Greensburg

George Lori Sr., 76, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000, in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born May 13, 1924, in Wilpen, a son of the late Quinto and Mrytle Ironfield Lori. Prior to retirement, he had been the owner of Lori Waterproofing of Greensburg; and was a member of the Church of St. Paul, Greensburg; and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers , Quinto, Arthur, Gilbert and Marico Lori; and a sister, Louise Levitsky. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Raimondo Lori; two sons , John N. and his wife, Deborah Lori, of Scottdale and George Jr. and his wife, Carol Lori, of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Rose Marie Lori Mull of Greensburg; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Daniel Lori of Pittsburgh; two sisters , Mary Vella of Johnstown and Ida Mae Palermo of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Paul, Greensburg, with the Rev. Daniel C. Mahoney as celebrant. Interment with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post 33 Honor Guard of Greensburg will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.

Joseph D. Mance
White Valley

Joseph D. Mance, 86, of White Valley, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000. Born Sept. 11, 1913, in East Pittsburgh, a son of the late Michael and Mary Lezar Mance. Joseph was a former contractor and retired in 1978 as a laboratory technician for Westinghouse Electric Corp. He was awarded a citizenship award by Westinghouse Electric for outstanding service to his community. He was a member of St. John Baptist de La Salle Church, Delmont, and was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Westmoreland County Firemen's Association, White Valley Volunteer Fire Department, White Valley AMVETS Post #85, Home Association, White Valley Athletic and Social Club, and the Westinghouse Veterans Employee Association. Mr. Mance was well-known to the Three Rivers Tool Collectors Association and was also an avid antique tool collector and widely known as the "Tool Man" of the Three Rivers Tool Collectors. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Sara Lotinsky Mance; a daughter, Mary Ann and her husband, Donald Miller, of Bethel Park; sons , Joseph Robert and his wife, Dolores Mance, of White Valley, Richard Michael and his wife, Marlene Mance, of Davidsonville, Md., James George and his wife, Diane Mance, of Yorba, Calif., and a daughter, Claudia P. and her husband, Lawrence Canobbio, of White Valley; two brothers , Nick and his wife, Josephine Mance, and Michael Jr. and his wife, Esther Mance, both of Murrysville; and a sister, Ann Koerner of Charleroi; also nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Friends received at the EDWIN N. WOLFE FUNERAL HOME INC., Export, Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Baptist de la Salle Church, Delmont. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. Knights of Columbus rosary to be said Thursday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Lawrence B. McCabe, 60, of Penn Hills, on Monday, July 31, 2000. Beloved husband of Geraldine A. (Gigliotti); Father of John J., Michelle, Victoria McCabe, Andrea Brenner and the late Christine McCabe; grandfather of Melissa, Chuck and Stephanie; brother of Marjorie Evans; son of the late John J. (Sonny) and Golden McCabe; son-in-law of Emma and Joseph Gigliotti. Larry was a past president of the Penn Hills Lions Club, a 38 year member of the Thad Stevens Volunteer Fire Department, member of Penn Hills Chamber of Commerce, Orpheus Singing Society, the Toastmasters, member of St. Bartholomew Church Parish Council and Chairman of the Church Festival Committee. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday in the LAWRENCE B. McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 10940 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills. James Calvin McDowell, 82, of Connellsville, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000, in the Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. Friends and relatives of James McDowell will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. His funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Elmer Reamer officiating. Charles J. McHugh, 67, of Sebastian, Fla., formerly of White hall, died Sunday, July 30, 2000. He was the husband of Marlene Worman McHugh; Father of Deborah Cantwell of Greentown, Ind., Barbara McHugh of Sebastian, Fla. and Charles McHugh Jr. of Baldwin; grandfather of Christine and Elizabeth Cantwell, and Russell and Jeremy McHugh. Mr. McHugh was the youngest of nine children and is survived by his brothers and sister, Robert McHugh of Johnstown, Pa, Harold McHugh of Salem, Ohio, Margaret Davidson of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Donald McHugh of Bethel Park. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in JOHN F. Edwin W. Moeller
Ross

Edwin W. Moeller, 90, of Ross, died Tuesday, August 1, 2000, in his home. A resident of Ross Township for 89 years, he and his family operated a flour mill and later a grocery at 4601 Perry Highway, across from the old Keating Carbarn. Mr. Moeller also served the community as a volunteer fireman with the Keating Fire Companny for 50 years; as a Ross Township commissioner and a councilman at the Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Hoge Moeller and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday in HEARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4047 Perrysville Ave., Observatory Hill, where services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Pastor Dennis Orsen will officiate. Entombment will follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.

ChinYu Mong, 84, of Franklin Park, died Saturday, July 29, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Hsu-Shun Mong; one daughter, Susan Tu, of Franklin Park; six grandchildren. Emma Grace Mull

Emma Grace Mull, 88, of Latrobe, died Monday, July 31, 2000, in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born April 21, 1912, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late William A. and Sarah B. (Allshouse) Mull. Emma was a life member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters . She is survived by two brothers , Raymond A. Mull of Parma, Ohio, and Robert W. Mull of Florida; two sisters , Leila Shirey of Chicago, Ill., and Gladys Stelef of Wellsville, Ohio; a number of nieces and nephews, including her nephew, George Eugene Mull and his wife, Josephine, of Derry; and her good friend, Santa Rhome of Greensburg. Friends were received at the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe, with the church pastors officiating. Madelene O'Data
Bridgeville
Formerly of Brentwood

Madelene O'Data, 86, of ManorCare Nursing Home, Greentree, died Tuesday, August 1, 2000, after a short illness. A long time resident of Brentwood, she most recently lived at Washington Commons in Bridgeville, Pa. She was born on July 1, 1912 in Pittsburgh, the daugter of the late Arnold C. and Clara Nagel Rowlands. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas C. O'Data in 1993, and a brother, Arnold C. Rowlands, Jr., in 1998. Following graduation from Carrick High School, Mrs. O'Data worked as a hostess at the former Pittsburgh Hotel and Stouffer's Restaurants. In 1950 she helped open the Gateway Plaza Restaurants, in the Gateway Center of Pittsburgh, serving as head hostess and banquet manager. In 1961 she was named assistant manager of Longue Vue Country Club, Verona, and was promoted to manager later that year. She was the first woman manager of a major country club in Pennsylvania . After 18 years at Longue Vue, Mrs. O'Data retired in 1979. She is survived by two sons , Charles N., and his wife, Marilyn, of Beaver, and Gary N. and his wife, Debra, of South Fayette; four grandchildren, Jon O'Data of Rochester, Ann O'Data Lawson of Tallmadge, Ohio, Jackie and Drew O'Data, both of South Fayette; two great-grandchildren, Aaron and Lauren O'Data of Rochester; one sister-in-law, Sally Rowlands; one nephew, Arnold Rowlands, of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in CIESLAK & TATKO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2935 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, where a funeral prayer will be at 9:15 a.m. Saturday. A Christian Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Sylvester Church with Fr. Mark Eckman officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park.
