Jennie M. Kuriluk, 78, of Southwest Greensburg, died Sunday, July 30, 2000, in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born June 10, 1922, in Hempfield Township, a daughter of the late Ivan and Manda Gracan Katich. Prior to retirement, she had been employed by the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, and was a member of the Church of St. Paul. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Kuriluk on May 15, 1996. Survived by two sons , Frank M. Kuriluk of Butler and Dennis J. Kuriluk of Southwest Greensburg; a brother, George Katich of South Greensburg; a sister, Annie Katich of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel C. Mahoney officiating. Interment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Hempfield Township.

Elizabeth "Betty" McWilliams, 80, Level Green, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, in the Forbes Regional Health Center, Monroeville. She was born on July 29, 1920, in Hamilton, Scotland, the daughter of the late John and Helen Duff Percival. She was a member of the Level Green Presbyterian Church and its Ruth Circle, a former member of the Level Green Women's Club, and in her younger years involved with the PTA and helped organize recreation and the playgrounds in Level Green. Betty was an avid reader, gardener and loved to travel, she also loved her children, grandchildren, friends and had a real love for Scotland and its culture. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Steffey. She is survived by her husband, Lewis McWilliams; a son, Jack and wife, Arleen, of Glenshaw; a daughter, Beverly Jones and husband, Allen, of Washington D.C.; three grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren. Friends were received at the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME, 429 Duquesne Ave., Trafford, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and will be received Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. R. Dennis Macaleer officiating. Interment will follow in the Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.

George A. Phillips Jr., 69, of Greensburg, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Jan. 18, 1931, in Uniontown, a son of the late George A. Sr. and Mary Dillow Phillips. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by the Braun Baking Co. of Greensburg. He was a member of the Church of the Open Door, Greensburg, the Bakery Drivers Union, Local 485, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rosella Burchett; and a brother, William Phillips. He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Laughrey Phillips; three daughters , Joy Lynne Basler of Los Angeles, Calif., Donna Jean Phillips and Karen Lee Phillips, both at home; two brothers , John and his wife, Carol Phillips, and Harold and his wife, Claire Phillips, all in Texas ; five sisters , Aileen and her husband, the Rev. James Seefried, Thelma Lane, Marlene Seighman, and Doris and her husband, Karl Koncheck, all of Uniontown, and Beryl and her husband, Kent Davis, in Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Nancy Phillips of Pittsburgh; an aunt, Ellen Humbert of Fairchance; and his mother -in-law, Edna Swaney of Uniontown; also several nieces and nephews. Jean A. Geib Roth, 82, died Sunday, July 30, 2000 in Saxony Health Care, Saxonburg. Born Sept. 14, 1917 in Pittsburgh she was the daughter of the late Fred and Rose Wise Geib. Mrs. Roth was employed in the housekeeping department of Passavant Hospital until her retirement. Survivors include a son, David P. Roth Jr. of McCandless; three grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David P. Roth. There will be no visitation. (Stobbe) Rygielski; Father of Carolyn Zoeller of Hampton Township and Gary E. Rygielski of Ross Township; Father -in-law of Kay Rygielski and Paul Zoeller; brother of Julia Gromek of Etna and the late Helen Pierson, Stella, John and Victor Rygielski; grandfather of Susan Hogya, Sandra and Davis Zoeller; great-grandfather of Zachary, Jacob, Benjamin and Matthew Zoeller. Richard Cowan Sanner, 85, of Southwest Greensburg, died Sunday, July 30, 2000, at the Integrated Health Services of Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg. He was born June 20, 1915, in Greensburg, a son of the late Samuel S. and Minnie Wentzel Sanner. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by the Peoples Natural Gas Co. in Pittsburgh for 41 years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He was a very active member of the Greensburg Church of the Brethren, where he had served as Sunday school superintendent, a Sunday school teacher and sang in the church choir. Richard was also a volunteer with the Tri-City Meals-on-Wheels and also at the Westmoreland Manor. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Louise Blystone Sanner; a daughter, Carol Sanner Hart of Greensburg; two grandsons, Jason Hart and his wife, Sharon, and Eric Hart, all of Atlanta, Ga.; five sisters , Evelyn Wineman of Youngwood, Mary Smith of New Stanton RD1, Janet Gongaware of Youngwood, Helen Thomas of Greensburg, and Blanche Chatlos of Hunker RD1; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Patricia Ann Schettler, 58, of Beaver, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at her Beaver residence. Born July 11, 1942, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late William and Rita Coyne Wilkinson. A Catholic by faith, Mrs. Schettler was a medical lab technician, having retired from the St. Anne's Nursing home in Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Joseph Schettler. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Tamika Schettler of Turtle Creek; a daughter, Patricia M. Schettler of Beaver; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Donna Wilkinson of Meadville; and a sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Bill Spear of Beaver; and a granddaughter, Aja' C. Schettler. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the J.T. ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 205 College Ave., Beaver, where prayers will be offered Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Beaver with the Monsignor William M. Ogrodowski as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Beaver Cemetery, Beaver.
