Mrs. Ralph H. Zellers Jr.
Mrs. June R. Zellers, 64, of 498 S. Cottonwood Drive, Northampton, died Monday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Ralph H. Zellers Jr. They observed their 46th wedding anniversary in July.
Born in Lehigh Township, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Arlene (Lindenmoyer) Schneeberger.
She was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bath, and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Sandy A. of Northampton and Beverly J., wife of Daryl Haftl of Bath; two sons, Ralph H. III and Kevin S., and three sisters, Doris, wife of Kenneth Becker, Mrs. Dolores Amy and Mrs. Rena Bird, all of Northampton; a brother, Rudolph Jr. of Bath; and three grandchildren.

Members of the Class of 1947 of the former Coaldale High School will meet at 7 o'clock tonight at the John Puschak Funeral Home, 208 First St., Coaldale, where they will pay final respects to classmate Helen (King) Vavra, who died suddenly on Sunday in the Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale.
Mrs. Willard R. Nothstein
Mrs. Pauline M. Nothstein, 75, of 336 Cypress St., Lehighton, died Monday evening in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, one day before her 76th birthday. She was the wife of Willard R. Nothstein.
She was employed in the finishing department of Scotty's Fashions, Lehighton, before retiring in 1983.
Born in Beaver Run, Mahoning Township, she was a daughter of the late Robert R. and Iola Mae (Hontz) Taylor.
She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Lehighton, and the Nesquehoning Senior Citizens.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Judith Ann, wife of Wayne Albert of Saylorsburg R.1, and Roberta Mae, wife of Charles Ryan of Warwick, R.I.; two brothers, Robert of Charleston, N.C., and Arthur of Nazareth; two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Holden of Reno, Nev., and Mrs. Pearl Daton of Bridgewater, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother Norman; and two sisters, Calista Boswell and Mrs. Beatrice Barthold.
The Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, Fourth and Iron streets, Lehighton, is in charge of the arrangements.
Nothstein survivors: Among the survivors of Mrs. Pauline M. Nothstein, 75, of 336 Cypress St., Lehighton, who died Monday in the Gnaden Huetten Hospital, Lehighton are two brothers, Norman Taylor of Bethlehem and Robert Taylor of Charleston, N.C.
Also, two sisters, Eleanor Holden of Reno, Nev. and Pearl Denton of Bridgewater, Conn.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Franklin, Arthur and Samuel; and four sisters, Calista Boswell, Beatrice Barthold, Grace Bleamer and Barbara Taylor.

Daisy Cole of 101 S. First St., Apt. 2, Lehighton, died Monday in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Lea Ann McCoy
Lea Ann McCoy, 10 months, of 640 Matthews Road, Trout Run, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at her home.
Born August 25, 2005 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of William E. and Paula R. Tilburg McCoy.
Lea Ann enjoyed being snuggled, having her hair brushed and swinging in the hammock on a breezy day. She was well-loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Surviving besides her parents are grandparents Todd and Eleanor McCoy, and Larry and Joan Tilburg; Uncle Tony and Aunt Lori; Cole; Aunt Tammy Tilburg; cousin Zachary Tilburg and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Roseann Puskar.
Family and friends may celebrate Lea Ann's life at 10 a.m. today (Saturday, July 1), in the Christian Church at Cogan Station, 5904 Lycoming Creek Road, Cogan Station.
Dorothy Reed
Dorothy M. Reed, 88, of Carson Street, died Monday (July 3, 2006) at Guy and Mary Felt Manor.
She was born July 17, 1917, in St. Marys, a daughter of Andy and Helen Eckert. On June 18, 1935, in New York, she married Jerry Reed, who preceded her in death.
She was active in the Emporium Senior Center and was a member of the St. Mark Catholic Church.
Surviving are seven daughters, Dolores Kitchen of Mackeyville, Marie Young, Betty Erich and Helen Dunkle, all of Emporium, Judie Shrubb of Weedville, Lois Dolan of Allentown and Donna Granier of Addis, La.; four sons, Bruce Reed of Ridgefield, Ore., Glenn Reed of Angola, N.Y., and Don "Stretch" Reed and Dave Reed both from Emporium; 45 grandchildren; numerous greatgrandchildren; a sister, Rose Newell of Raleigh, N.C., and two brothers, Romie Buerk of Emporium and Chris Buerk of St. Marys.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Reed Jr.; a daughter, Patty Reed; four brothers; and a sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday (July 6, 2006) at St. Mark Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Siebert as celebrant. Burial was in Newton Cemetery, Emporium.

Kenneth Neubert
Kenneth J. Neubert, 69, of 1432 Rosely Road, St. Marys, died Tuesday evening (June 20, 2006) at the Elk Regional Health Center.
He was born July 18, 1936, in St. Marys, son of the late William and Mary Wendel Neubert. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys schools. He was a retired employee of the Keystone Carbon Co. and had worked part time at City Transfer.
On May 25, 1963 in the St. James Church in Driftwood, he married Barbara Kuppelweiser, who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Karen Neubert of Brookline, NH, Sharon (Mrs. Kenneth) Streich of Ridgway; a son, Michael A. Neubert at home; a grandson, Ethan Streich; a sister, Maureen (Mrs. Thomas) Newman of St. Marys; and two brothers, Raymond Neubert of St. Marys and Jerry Neubert and his wife Rose Mary of St. Marys.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Neubert Jr.
He had served in the army in Germany.
There was no visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in the Queen of the World Church, St. Marys, on Friday, (June 23) at 1 p.m., with the Rev. John Mary Tompkins OSB as celebrant. Burial followed in the Gilmore Cemetery in Cameron County.

Edith Coon
Edith M. Coon, 84, formerly of Emporium and New Port Ritchey, Fl., died Wednesday, October 4, 2006, in DeMay Living Center, Newark, New York.
Born February 12, 1922 in Cherry Tree, PA, she was the daughter of Raymond A. and Edna Young Nelson.
On July 26, 1943 in Bakersfield, California, she married Thomas E. Coon who survives.
A resident of Emporium for 50 years, Mrs. Coon was originally from Ligonier, where she was a 1939 graduate of Ligonier High School. In 1985 she and her husband retired to New Port Ritchey, Fl. where they resided until moving to Victor, NY in 2004.
Mrs. Coon was a member of the First Baptist Church of Emporium where she was the church organist for many years, was a Sunday School teacher and also served as a deaconess.
Surviving in addition to her husband are: two daughters, Janice (Bruce) Comstock of Victor, NY and Gwen M. Mix of Newark, NY; two granddaughters, Stacie (Burt) Kem of Victor and Kerri (Michael) Ryan of New Providence, NJ; three great grandchildren; one brother, Jack Nelson of Ligonier; two sisters, Esther Zimmer of Ligonier and Lorraine Buell of Laughlintown; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one brother, Paul Nelson and one sister, Lois Crandall.
Friends will be received in the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home, Emporium, Saturday, Oct. 7 from 1-3 p.m. at which time Funeral & Committal Services will be held with the Rev. R. Scott Melott, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Emporium, officiating.
Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Emporium.

Agnes Hodge
Agnes M. Hodge, 83, of Emporium, died at Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006.
She was born Nov. 20, 1922 in Pottersdale, a daughter of the late Homer and Mildred Hanley Stroup.
On Dec. 22, 1938 in Karthaus, she married the late James W. Hodge.
Mrs. Hodge retired from Sylvania where she worked for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving is one daughter: Mildred "Sis" (Jake) Ellenberger of Driftwood; one son, Gary Hodge (Helene) of Davenport, Fla., seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two sisters: Faye Kolivosky of Smethport and Evelyn Coudtriet of Pottersdale.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Terry Hodge; one brother, Leo Stroup; three sisters, Raye Stiles, Peg Scalfaro and Luella Eschenfelder.
Funeral service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, on Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dwight Simpson, Pastor, down county Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home, on Monday from 11a.m. to 2 p.m.,
Burial will be in the Geno Cemetery, Pottersdale. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Grove House, 436 Old West Creek Rd., Emporium, PA 15834.
Ruth Wilson
Ruth E. Wilson, 74, a resident of the MJM Victorian Home, died Saturday afternoon (Sept. 30, 2006) at her residence following an lengthy illness.
She was born June 30, 1932, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Harrison Wilson, who died in 1959 and Lillian Cheatle Wilson, who died in 1988. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys Public Schools.
She is survived by a sister, Anna Mae Mertz of St. Marys; two brothers, Richard Wilson, her twin, and his wife Kathy of St. Marys, and Thomas Wilson and his wife Anne of St. Marys; and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Wilson of St. Marys.
Besides her parent, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Schneider, and a brother, John O. Wilson.
She was a member of St. Mark Church in Emporium.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial mass was celebrated Friday, Oct. 6, in the Sacred Heart Church, St. Marys, with the Rev. Eric Vogt OSB, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the St. Marys Cemetery.

Joan Leavitt
Joan C. Leavitt, 72, of 370 Market Rd., Beechwood passed away at Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys.
She was born Nov. 13, 1933 in Emporium and was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Alda C. Brocious Smith.
On July 4, 1951 in Beechwood, she married George Leavitt, who survives.
Mrs. Leavitt and her husband celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this past July. Mrs. Leavitt graduated from the former Emporium High School in the class of 1951. She retired from Cameron County High School where she worked for many years. She was a active member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. She loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to George Leavitt is one daughter, Kathy (John) Dolan of Emporium; two sons Robert (Marina) of Crestwood, KY, Thomas Leavitt of Smethport; 6 grandchildren, Vincent Lovejoy, James and Ryan Leavitt, Kelly Breen, Jake and Amanda Leavitt; one brother, James Smith (Narma) of Carteret, NJ; one sister, Nancy (James) Summerson of Linden, PA; and a brother-in-law, James (Carol) Reed of Emporium.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Joel Smith and one sister, Jean Reed.
Funeral service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, today (Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006) at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Conklin, officiating.
Burial will be in the Smith Family Cemetery, in Beechwood. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 1284 Sizerville Rd. Emporium, PA 15834.
William Zofrea
William G. Zofrea, 68, of 412 W. Allegany Ave., #2, Emporium, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006.
He was born Apr. 24, 1938 in St. Marys, a son of the late Joseph and Helen Zofrea.
Mr. Zofrea was a member of the St. Mark Catholic Church.
Surviving is one daughter, Regina, Mrs. Rob White, Mansfield, Ohio, and two grandsons Ben and Ethan.
Mr. Zofrea was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, as celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Shippen Township.
Genevieve Rosenhoover
Genevieve "Jean" Rosenhoover, 82, of 85 Blackburn Rd., Emporium, died at her residence Thursday (September 28, 2006).
She was born Aug 30, 1924 in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Anastasio and Pasqualina Martino Curci.
She married the late Gerald S. Rosenhoover.
Mrs. Rosenhoover graduated from Ridgway High School. She retired from Sylvania, where she worked for over 30 years and was a member of the Quarter Centry Club. She enjoyed life, NASCAR and the outdoors.
Surviving are: sons, Gary M. Rosenhoover, Odessa, FL, Remy M. "Gus" Rosenhoover, Huntsville, AL; 5 grandchildren, and one sister: Rosalie Struble, Erie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers: James, Ben, Leonard and Anthony Curci in infancy and two sisters: Mary Brownelle and Helen Curci.
There will be No Visitation. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
