Mrs. James L. McKenna
Mrs. Eileen E. McKenna, 77, of 2615 Summer Mountain Road, Palmerton, died Wednesday in her home. She was the wife of Dr. James L. McKenna. They observed their 56th wedding anniversary in March.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Helen (Storey) Friel.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton.
The deceased was a former corresponding secretary for the Mary Bailey Foundation and co-chairwoman of the June Fete Horse Show, both in Philadelphia.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, James L. Jr. of Rome, Italy; two daughters, Margaret of Freedom, Me., and Elizabeth Ann, wife of Mary Soisson of Perkasie; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Isabel K. Teets, 89, of 51 Third Ave., Lehighton, who died Thursday in the Hometown Nursing Center, Tamaqua R.2, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, Fourth and Iron streets, Lehighton, followed by interment in the Lehighton Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the services.
Allen B. Heller
Allen B. Heller, 53, of Effort, died Sunday in his home. He was the husband of Nellie M. (Tanner) Heller. They were married for 27 years.
He was a carpenter and mason for his brother, Ernest Heller Carpentry, Sciota, and previously was a mason for Dave Piel, Stroudsburg.
Born in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Paul and Berneda (Miller) Heller.
He was a member of Mount Eaton Christian Church, Saylorsburg.
Heller was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of American Legion Post 927, Gilbert.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Donald A. of Saylorsburg; a daughter, Melissa A. of Canadensis; a brother Ernest of Sciota; a sister, Marlene Zeruth of Effort; a grandchild and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Betty Kerestes
Mrs. Betty Kerestes, 77, of Bear Creek Lakes, Jim Thorpe, died Tuesday afternoon in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the widow of George Kerestes, former Carbon County district attorney who died in 1967.
She was a retired school teacher, having taught for over 30 years as an English teacher in the Lehighton Area School District, where she also directed the school plays.
Born in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Fudge) Bacon, and had resided in that community for most of her life, until retiring in 1982 and moving to her home at Bear Creek Lakes.
She was active in the Lansford community for many years, being a member of the Congregational Church in that town and a past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 123, Lansford.
Mrs. Kerestes was a past president of the Pennsylvania Association of Lawyers Wives; the first president of the Carbon County Association of Lawyers Wives; and a past treasurer of the Carbon County Historical Society.
She received her teaching degree at Chatham College for Teachers in Pittsburgh.
Surviving are a daughter Peggy, wife of Michael Chain of Fort Washington, Pa.; and three grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Peg Williams, Maude Bacon and Mrs. Alma Guest; and two brothers, Richard and Robert.

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie B. Everett, 100, formerly of 823 Iron St., Lehighton, who died Tuesday in the Gnaden Huetten Nursing and Convalescent Center, Lehighton, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from the Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, Fourth and Iron streets, Lehighton, followed by interment in the New Tripoli Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the services in the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Benjamin and Daniel.
Frank J. Voletto
Frank J. Voletto, 66, of Palmer Township, died Monday in his home. He was the husband of Shirley (Fisher) Voletto. They observed their 37th wedding anniversary last November.
A graduate of Churchman's Business College, Easton, he was employed by the Easton Area School District for nine years, last working in November as head custodian at the March Elementary School. Previously, he worked in the Rock Drill division of Ingersoll-Rand Co., Phillipsburg, N.J., for 27 years before retiring.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Joseph and Frances (Snyder) Voletto.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilson.
Voletto was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.
A bowler, he belonged to several leagues years ago.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Frank F. of Effort; a daughter, Susan D. Pettyjohn of Chambersburg, Franklin County; three brothers, Samuel of Wilson, Russell of Easton and Joseph of Wernersville, Berks County; and a granddaughter.
Mrs. Marguerite E. Baker
Mrs. Marguerite E. Baker, 80, formerly of 306 Fourth St., Weatherly, died early Tuesday in the St. Luke Manor, Hazleton. She was the widow of Stanley E. Baker, who died in 1967.
Born in Weatherly, she was a daughter of the late Anton and Marguerite (Hoffman) Leppler.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Hazleton, and the Newark, N.J., chapter of Order of Eastern Star, and was a former member of the Hazleton YMCA Senior Citizens.
Surviving are a son, Stanley R., a sister, Rosebud Leppler, and two brothers, John and Anton, all of Weatherly; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, John W., who died in 1988; and a sister, Geraldine Ryan.
Breston services
A memorial Mass for Mrs. Josephine M. (Mokry) Breston, 84, of Sterling Heights, Mich., formerly of 222 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, who died Monday in Michigan, will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 14, in SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tamaqua.
Funeral services are being held this week in Sterling Heights.
Carl H. Richter Sr.
Carl H. Richter Sr., 76, of 215 North Ave., Jim Thorpe, died Tuesday at the Hometown Nursing Center, Tamaqua R.2. He was the husband of the late Wiletta (Crilley) Richter, who died in 1982.
He was a retired section worker and had worked for the former Central Railroad of New Jersey. He also worked for the former Lehigh Valley Railroad where he was hurt in a collision of a motor car. He and other section workers were riding on collided with a train on the curve near the Glen Onoka, above Jim Thorpe.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Fairview Hose Company and the Diligent Hose Company, all of Jim Thorpe.
Surviving are a son, Carl H. Jr. of Jim Thorpe; a sister, Mrs. Maryanne Mertz of Allentown; a granddaughter; and one great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Richard.

Susan K. Tizekker
Susan K. Tizekker, 84, of 40 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, died Tuesday evening in her home. She was the widow of Stephen R. Tizekker, who died in November, 1982.
She worked as a seamstress in various garment factories in Nesquehoning for 35 years, retiring in 1980.
Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Susan (Dano) Kenlin.
A lifelong resident of Nesquehoning, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Ted, of Crest View, Fla; a brother, Stephen, of Allentown, and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Joseph; a great-grandson, William Paul; two brothers, John and Joseph; and four sisters, Anna Smith, Mary Kane, Eva Wolfe, and Kathryn Kenlin.

Mary L. Niehoff, of 175 North Seventh St., Apt.A 2, Lehighton, died Tuesday in the Allentown Osteopathic Medical Center.

Alberta M. Bird
Alberta M. Bird, 98, formerly of 107 S. First St., Lehighton, died Tuesday in Weatherwood, Weatherly, the Carbon County Home for the Aged. She was the widow of Harold E. Bird, who died in 1966.
Born in Oswega, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Nevin) Carr.
She was a member of Faith Alive United Methodist Church, Bowmanstown.
Surviving are four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Albert and Bruce Bird.

John J. Scutta
John J. Scutta, 87, of 220 Market St., Tamaqua, died Tuesday, after a lengthy illness, in Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale, where he had been a patient for five days. He was the husband of Mary (Sisko) Scutta. They were married 59 years.
He operated a locomotive at the No. 10 Colliery for the former Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company until it ceased operations and then was employed as a maintenance man at the Bethlehem Steel until he retired.
Born in Coaldale, he was the son of the late John and Johanna (Fabian) Scutta.
He was a veteran of World War II having served with the Seventh Armor Division in the Battle of the Bulge where he was awarded a meritious medal.
He was a member of St. John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Lansford, and St. Jerome Catholic Church, Tamaqua, and a member of the Tamaqua American Legion Post 173 for 51 years.
Surviving with his wife is a brother, Robert of Lake Hauto; two sisters, Louise Rogowitz of Palmerton, and Bernadine Scutta of Dedhan, Mass.

Mrs. Mabel May Kistler
Mrs. Mabel May Kistler, 74, of Meadow Drive, Mertztown, died Monday in her home. She was the widow of Norman R. Kistler.
Born in New Tripoli, she was a daughter of the late James and Rosa (Reitz) Kerschner.
She was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli.
Surviving are a son Forrest of Topton; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
J. Donald Rehrig
J. Donald Rehrig, 83, of 198 W. Bowmans Road, Lehighton, died Thursday, May 29, in Weatherwood, Weatherly. He was the husband of the late Mary Rehrig.
Prior to retiring, he was self-employed in the oil business.
Surviving are a brother Edwin; and two half-sisters, Phyllis Hahan of Washington State and Irene Holscaw of Malvern, Pa.
