Fausie (Hamilton) Gregory, 83, of McKees Rocks, died on Thursday, July 27, 2000. She is survived by two sons , Robert W., Donald J., and David T. Gregory; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Buddy" Gregory. Fausie was a member of the Local #418 Ladies Auxiliary. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 12 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at MCDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1225 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks, where a funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday.
Albert E. Grimes Sr.

Albert E. Grimes Sr., 75, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital in Cranberry. Born Nov. 25, 1924, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John Grimes and Freda Moritz. Mr. Grimes was a line worker for Duquesne Light for 38 years. He served in the Army during World War II as a civil engineer. He also was the former president of Duquesne Light Retirees and the former president of Passavant Hospital's Men's Auxiliary. He was a volunteer for the Salvation Army, a school bus monitor for children with disabilities at North Allegheny School District, a volunteer for the Boy Scouts and Eagle Scouts, a member of West View VFW Post 2754, constable of McCandless for 20 years, former deacon of Memorial Park Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Valley of Pittsburgh Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite. Mr. Grimes also was a professional clown known as "Shindles" and worked as Santa Claus at Northway Mall. Survivors include his wife, Donna Rae Grimes; five daughters , Patricia Grimes Caruso of Piedmont, S.C., Jean Grimes Rice of Montgomery, Ohio, Carrie Stewart of Scott Township, Trina Loesch of Cranberry and Renee Adair of Allison Park; a sister, Thelma Grimes Ruffert of Sheridan; and 15 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Grimes; and a sister, Dorothy Grimes Plank. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday in H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Perry Highway, Ross. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Presbyterian Church. John J. "Bud" Hanka, of Brookline, died Thursday, July 27, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Sipa) Hanka; two daughters , Tracy Ellwood and Niccole Hanka; one son, Michael Hanka; two grandsons, Adam and Alexander; two sisters , Sylvia Getty, and Jeanne Burtost. Mr. Hanka retired from 84 Lumber Co., as a regional purchaser. Friends will be received from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m Saturday in the CIESLAK & TATKO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2935 Brownsville Road, Brentwood. James W. Kelly, 71, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at Suburban General Hospital in Bellevue. Born June 2, 1929, in Emsworth, he was the son of the late John W. and Dora (Barkely) Kelly. Mr. Kelly was a vice president at Parker/Hunter and Associates. He also was a
Korean War veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 866 in Avonworth. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Mulkerin) Kelly; two daughters , Virginia M. Vickinovac and Colleen A. Grantz; four sons , James M. Kelly, William J. Kelly, Daniel R. Kelly and Kevin P. Kelly; and nine grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers , Melvin Kelly, William E. Kelly, Joseph "Lee" Kelly, Daniel T. Kelly; and a sister, Dora K. Reilly. Robert "Bob" Lloyd, 78, of Madison Road, Herminie, died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at his home. He was born April 25, 1922, in Madison, a son of the late Frank and Mayme (Mitchell) Lloyd. Prior to his retirement, Bob was employed by Westinghouse Semi-Conductor in Youngwood as a heating and air conditioning maintenance technician. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps with the 448th Bomb Group. He flew 34 bombing missions over Germany and France and, among other honors, received two Purple Hearts, a Distinguished Flying Cross and an Air Medal. Bob's memberships included the Madison United Methodist Church, Shidle Lodge #601 F&AM, Tall Cedars of Lebanon Westmoreland Forest #77, Syria Temple of Pittsburgh, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh, also the Eighth Air Force Historical Society, Western Pa. Wing, Herminie VFW Post #8427, Herminie L.O.O.M. Lodge #1604 and the Jacktown Ride & Hunt Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Lloyd. Mr. Lloyd, "Bob," is survived by his wife of 46 years, Josephine "Jody" (Pekar) Lloyd; a brother, James "Ike" Lloyd and his wife, Ann, of Acme; a sister, Helen Arnold and her husband, Frank, of Madison; a brother-in-law, Charles Pekar of North Huntingdon; a sister-in-law, Mary Stravasnik of Herminie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Thomas E. Lokay, 32, a resident of Allegheny Valley School, Crafton, died Friday, July 28, 2000, in Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, Uptown. He was born April 20, 1968, in Wilkinsburg, a son of Henry E. Lokay of Bethel Park and the late Helen M. Kimmel Lokay. In addition to his Father , he is survived by his sister, Terri Lynne Logelin of Peoria, Ariz.; his stepmother, Kathleen Brown Lokay; a niece and nephew; also aunts, uncles and cousins. Max J. Matko, 86, of Monessen, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, in the Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, Uptown, following a short illness. He was born July 4, 1914, in Monessen, a son of the late Martin and Agnes Matko. Mr. Matko was a lifelong resident of Monessen, and a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. He retired in 1975 from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., where he worked as a welder for 30 years. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Dorothy (Somers) Matko; three sons , Martin W. Matko of Monessen, Thomas Matko of Nashville, Tenn., and Max M. Matko of Richmond, Va.; a daughter, Maxene Renner of Apalachicola, Fla.; a brother, John Matko of Monessen; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Gray; and two sisters , Helen Sepelak and Katherine Nicolaus.
