Thomas D. Celebuski
Thomas D. Celebuski, 60, of Allentown, died Friday in the Muhlenberg Hospital Center, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Judith A. (Parry) Celebuski. They observed their 32nd wedding anniversary last November.
He was a trackman for the Philadelphia, Bethlehem and New England Railroad at the Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 30 years before retiring in 1994.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Sigmond and Mary (Zacek) Celebuski.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Celebuski was an Army veteran.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two daughters, Cara, wife of George Dimmerling of Saint Clair, and Dawn, wife of Mark Murray of New Tripoli; a brother Eugene and a sister, Clare Gontzar, both of Bethlehem; and a granddaughter.
Gamal Moawed Zayan
Gamal Moawed Zayan, 46, of Scotrun, formerly of the New York City area, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, in Walnutport. He was the husband of Nicole (Palmeri) Zayan.
Born in Empapa, Egypt, he was a service manager for the Britton Company, Walnutport, for the past year.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter Krystal and a son Jonathan, both at home.
William G. Jarrett
William George Jarrett, 75, of Hamburg R.1, died Thursday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Lorraine Jarrett. They would have observed their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.
He was a truck driver for Agway.
Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late William G. and Bertha (Oswald) Jarrett.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mertztown.
Jarrett was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son Richard of Mertztown; four daughters, Jane of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Nancy Brossman of Hanover, Patricia Odegaard of Fleetwood and Barbara Hepner of Germansville; three sisters, Arlene Koch of Allentown, Helen of Kutztown and Florence Bowman of Madison Heights, Mich.; 11 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
LeRoy W.J. Snyder
LeRoy W.J. Snyder, 73, of Orefield, died Friday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, where he was transported to following a two-vehicle crash in North Whitehall Township. He was the husband of Betty Mae (Wotring) Snyder. They observed their 48th wedding anniversary last February.
A retired sheet metal worker, he worked for the Caloric Corporation, formerly of Topton, for 15 years, and previously was employed by the former Lehigh Portland Cement Company, Fogelsville, for 15 years.
Born in Lowhill Township, he was a son of the late Charles and Ida (Schaffer) Snyder.
He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Fogelsville, where he was a deacon for many years.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two daughters, Linda, wife of Bruce Eroh, and Sandy Pradel, both of New Tripoli; four sisters, Edna Sechler of Kutztown, Hilda Fries of Fogelsville, Jennie, wife of Raymond Dengler of Trexlertown, and Elsie, wife of George Gruber of Orefield; two brothers, Alvin of Knoxville, Tenn., and Paul of Orefield; and three grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter Sharon.
Rev. William M. Fahey
Rev. William M. Fahey, 71, of 58 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, died Saturday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Born in East Mauch Chunk, he was a son of the late Eugene and Isabella (McElroy) Fahey.
He was a graduate of Mauch Chunk Catholic High School in 1943 and attended St. Charles of Borromeo Seminary, Lower Merion. He was ordained into the priesthood on May 8, 1954.
His first assignment was to St. Patrick's Church, Pottsville. Later he was a teacher at Cardinal Dougherty High School, Philadelphia, while in residence at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Roxborough. He was assigned to St. Raymond's Church, Philadelphia, before being named pastor of St. Rose of Lima Church, Eddystone.
He retired from the priesthood on June 1, 1997, and has resided in Jim Thorpe since then.
Surviving are four sisters, Catherine Bimler, Isabel Redline and Patricia McArdle, all of Jim Thorpe, and Loretta Lindsay of Salisbury, N.C.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Edward; and two sisters, Hannah Gaffney and Ellen Scott.

Rolland G. Hoffman III
Rolland G. Hoffman III, 24, of Allentown, died Saturday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Born in Reading, he was a son of Rolland G. Hoffman Jr. of Allentown and Diane L. Thum of Royersford, and a stepson of Janice Pavelco of Orefield.
He was a 1992 graduate of Parkland High School.
Surviving with his parents and stepmother, are two brothers, Aaron Hoffman of Orefield, and Ryan Thum of Royersford; a sister, Karin Thum of Royersford; paternal grandmother, Lorraine Hoffman of Mount Pleasant Mills, Snyder County; maternal grandmother, Gladys Tavenner of West Lawn, Berks County; and paternal great-grandmother, Benjamin Hoffman of Reading.

Mrs. Donald J. Eckley
Mrs. Rosemarie Eckley, 63, of 59 Beaver St., Lehighton, died Sunday in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. She was the wife of Donald J. Eckley Sr. They celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary in July.
She was a sewing machine operator for various area mills until retiring last year.
Born in Packerton, she was a daughter of Rose (Deutsch) Taschler of Lehighton, and the late Claude W. Taschler.
She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lehighton, and the Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club.
Surviving with her mother and husband are a son, Donald J. Jr. of Lebanon, N.J.; two daughters, Sheila, wife of Glenn Costenbader of Winnsboro, S.C., and Robin Beaber of Lehighton; a brother, Claude W. of Franklin Township; a sister, Mrs. Lester (Pearl) Sterling of Ashfield; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Thomas Mundy
Thomas Mundy, 35, of Warren, Ohio, died Sunday in the Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren.
Born in Warren, he was a son of Charlotte Mundy, of Warren, and the late Charles Mundy.
Surviving with is mother is a brother, Charles of Kingman, Ohio; a sister, Sheila Mundy of Warren; and aunts and uncles.
Mrs. Gizella M. Nameth
Mrs. Gizella M. Nameth, 86, of Chandler Estate II, Walnutport, formerly of 1734 Third St., Bethlehem Township, died Sept. 24 in the Easton Hospital. She was the widow of Frank L. Nameth.
She was a garment worker for clothing factories in the Lehigh Valley for 40 years before retiring in 1976.
Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Lazar) Yanzso.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Miller Heights, the Miller Heights Fire Company Auxiliary and locals 334 and 234 of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, both of Easton.
Surviving are a sister, Mary Kessler of Baltimore, Md.; nieces and a nephew.
Allan L. Hill Sr.
Allan L. Hill Sr., 86, of 32 Holly Drive, Levittown, formerly of Lansford, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, in the Delaware Valley Hospital, Langhorne. He was the husband of Emma (Sniscak) Hill. They were married for 61 years.
He was a miner for the former Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company for 20 years, and later was a barber in Levittown until he retired.
Born in Lansford, he was a son of the late John and Leah Hill.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two sons, Thomas J. of Doylestown and Allan L. Jr. of Langhorne; and two grandchildren.
He donated his body to the Humanity Gifts Registry for Scientific Research.
Mrs. Paul L. Thomas
Mrs. Elsie K. Thomas, 76, of 128 Butz St., Weatherly, died Wednesday morning in Weatherwood, the Carbon County Home for the Aged, Weatherly. She was the wife of Paul L. Thomas. They were married for 51 years.
Born in Coxeville, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Ella (Kissel) Krupka.
She was affiliated with the Episcopal church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Paula Thomas of Weatherly and Cheryle, wife of Donald L. Campbell of Hazleton; a son Eric of Weatherly; three grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and Stephen; and four sisters, Martha Garber, Anna Augustitus, Mary Rogoza and Helen Bronsavage.
Mrs. Ines T. Steinert
Mrs. Ines T. Steinert, 81, of 124 Patterson St., Tamaqua, died this morning in Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale. She was the wife of the late Senior R. Steinert, who died in 1979.
Born in Tamaqua, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Morie) Zanin.
Mrs. Steinert was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Tamaqua.
She was a 1934 graduate of Tamaqua High School.
The last immediate member of her family, she was preceeded in death by three sisters, Esther Bove, Olga Wecht and Yolanda Zanin.

Joseph F. Lapos
Joseph F. Lapos, 91, of Hauto, Nesquehoning R.1, died Thursday in the Hometown Nursing Center, Tamaqua R.2.
He was a boiler tender for the Pennsylvania Power and Light Company at its former power plant in Lake Hauto before retiring.
Born in Hauto, he was a son of the late Andrew and Anna (Yurasek) Lapos.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Nesquehoning, and the Hauto Volunteer Fire Company.
Surviving are a sister, Emma Hydock of Lansford; and nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew and Frank; and two sisters, Anna Lakata and Mary Drozdak.

David H. Laury
David H. Laury, 85, of Andreas R.1, died Thursday in the Palmerton Hospital. He was the husband of Virginia (May) Laury. They observed their 62nd wedding anniversary on Saturday.
He was the owner and operator of Laury's Cafe, Lehighton, for 21 years before retiring in 1973.
Born in Franklin Township, he was a son of the late Robert and Myrtle M. (Kromer) Laury.
An Army veteran of World War II, he served with the 116th Infantry, 29th Division, in the European Theater of Operations and was a Purple Heart recipient.
Laury was a life member of American Legion Post 304, it's Last Man's Club and Lehigh Fire Company, all of Lehighton, and the Mahoning Valley and Bowmanstown fire companies.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter Joan, wife of Joseph McGlynn of Reading; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Loren and Harvey; and a sister, Thelma M. Roth.
