Walter J. Hayes
Walter J. Hayes, 74, formerly of Wellsboro and Blossburg, died Feb. 13, 2002.
The funeral and committal service will be 12 noon Saturday, at the Zwicharowski Funeral Home, Blossburg. Calling hours one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Niles Valley Cemetery.
Gleytis M. Crider
Gleytis M. Crider, 79, a resident of The Meadows Assisted Living Community, died there Feb. 13, 2002.
Crouse Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Elena T. Lasko
Mrs. Elena T. Lasko, 83, of 303 Smith Street, Jersey Shore, died Friday, February 15, 2002, in the Rose View Manor. Born May 14, 1918 in Patterson, N.J., she was the daughter of Nicholas Pietroniro and the former Frances Lapuzz.
She was united in marriage Aug. 1. 1947 to William H. Lasko, who preceded her in death May 25, 1982. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Elizabeth Convent and her masters in education from Seton Hall. She taught in the Persippany School System for many years.
For many years, she was a member of the Church of Saint Luke in Jersey Shore. She was a Bronze Life Master at Bridge and was a member of the Williamsport Bridge Club. She was a member of the American Red Cross and the Bald Eagle Art League.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002 at 10 a.m. in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. Father Andrew Hvozdovic will officiate.
Evelyn V. Landon
Evelyn Victoria Landon, 96, who was born June 21, 1905, in White Pine, Cogan House Township, where she lived most of her life, died Thursday, February 14, 2002, at Valley View Nursing Home, Montoursville. She was the daughter of the late Wilbur S. and Sara J. Miller Bonnell.
Mrs. Landon was one of 12 children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry F. Landon, in 1973, and by two daughters, Betty Heivly in 1973 and Pauline Farrow in 1993. Surviving are one daughter, Ruby Shimko of Pittsburgh, and sons, Richard and Lyle Landon, both of Cogan House. She leaves 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Evelyn was a member of White Pine United Methodist Church for over 75 years and was active in the church until her recent illness. During their early years together, she helped her husband with the farm while raising five children. In the later years, she worked at a garment factory in Jersey Shore, while remaining active in the community.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2002 at White Pine United Methodist Church, White Pine, with the Rev. Ken Gunter, presiding. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at the church. The interment will follow the service at Summit Cemetery.
The family will provide the flowers and request that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the White Pine United Methodist Church, White Pine, PA.
Ruth M. Faulkner
Ruth M. Faulkner, 71, of Montgomery, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 at the Muncy Valley Hospital. She and her husband, Kenneth M. Faulkner, celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on Sept. 4. Born July 2, 1930 in Dewart, she was a daughter of the late Luther & Viola Phillips.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Diane Evans of Stroudsburg; a sister, Katherine VanWhy of Montgomery; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

James D. Innes
James D. Innes, 92, formerly of Canton, passed away early Monday morning Feb. 11, 2002, at the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, following a brief stay.
Born Sept. 21, 1909, in Calvert, he was a son of Anson and Alice Calvert Innes. He was a graduate of Canton High School. He was employed as a postal clerk for the Canton Post Office for many years until his retirement. He was an avid stamp collector and a member of the Williamsport Stamp Club. He was a former member of the Canton Odd Fellows, the Canton Ecumenical Parish and at the time of his death his was a member of the Blossburg United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Imogene Bull Innes of Morris Run; a daughter, Barbara (Miles) Wood of Blossburg; three grandchildren, Christopher Wood of Hyde Park, NY, Wenda Silvagni of Peabody, MA and Amy Ivell of Kennerdell; four great-grandchidlren, Gabriella and Juliana Silvagni and James and Elizabeth Ivell; a sister, Betty Felton of Lakewood, OH; a brother, Floyd Innes of Painted Post, NY and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Innes was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Judson Innes.
The family invites friends to call 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the Pepper Funeral Home, Springbrook Drive, Canton. The funeral and committal service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Leedom and Rev. David Weaver officiating.
Burial will be in the Granville Center Cemetery.

Alberta Margaret Crabtree
Alberta Margaret Crabtree, 79, of 20 Round Top Road, Williamsport, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at home.
Born Sept. 19, 1922, in Shenandoah, she was the daughter of Joseph J. Spudis and Margaret L. Muskelauge Spudis.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Samuel F. Crabtree, Jr.; her eldest son, Samuel F. Crabtree III, of West Palm Beach, FL; a daughter, Margaret E. Logan of Orno, ME; a son, Joel A. Crabtree of Trout Run; one grandchild, Clara Adams Crabtree of West Palm Beach, FL; three sisters, Alicia S. Powell of Willow Grove, Lillian L. Rocky of West Palm Beach, FL, Josette V. Flannery of Williamsport; 16 nieces and nephews and her caregiver and friend, Marie Matthews, of Williamsport.
She graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1938 and the Pennsylvania State University in 1943. She taught at Bloomsburg High School, State College High School and the Pennsylvania State University.
She was an active member of the Covenant Central Presbyterian Church for many years.
She assisted her husband in the family business, Ralph B. Grammer Jewelers, for 21 years.
Among her accomplishments, she served as president of the Williamsport Hospital Auxiliary, was a past member of the DuBoistown Garden Club and was a member of Delta Zeta sorority at Penn State.
Over the years, she traveled extensively in Europe and South America with her husband.
She enjoyed painting and needlepoint and was an avid gardener.
There will be a memorial service at a later date. There will be no visitation.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests that memorials be made to the Alzheimers Support Group, Divine Providence Hospital, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.

Helen (Nana) M. Bubb
Helen M. (Nana) Bubb, 91, of 1994 Murray Run Road, Trout Run, and formerly of Forty Fort and Montoursville, died Friday, February 8, 2002. Her husband, Ernest J. Bubb, preceded her in death in 1985.
Born April 3, 1910 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Wilbur and Alicia Wenner Kaupp. Mrs. Bubb was a homemaker and member of the Montoursville Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Jerome Bubb of Harveys Lake, and James Bubb of Shaetown; one daughter, Janet A. Jean, Trout Run; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Kaupp, a sister, Kathryn Doud, and a grandson, Charles Jean.
Graveside services will be held in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Montoursville, at 2:30 p.m. Monday, with her pastor, the Rev. Oliver Wagner, officiating. The family will provide the flowers.

Boyd B. DeWald
Boyd B. DeWald, 91, of 406 S. Market St., Muncy, died Saturday, February 9, 2002, at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.
He and his wife of 46 years, the former Doris Shook, were married June 11, 1955.
He was an original member of the Sulphur Spring Rifle and Revolver Club and a life member of the N.R.A. He enjoyed reading and woodworking.
He was a 1929 graduate of Muncy High School.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Distinguished Unit Badge, and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 5 bronze stars.
He retired in 1972 from the Muncy Post Office.
Born January 20, 1911, in Hughesville, he was the son of George and Elizabeth Bieber DeWald.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, of Muncy, are a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis G. and Becky DeWald of Muncy; a sister, Rebecca Sherman of Montgomery; and a grandson, Jonathan DeWald of Muncy.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Geraldine Waltman and Jean Wynnings.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Muncy Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. James Clouser, retired Methodist minister.
There will be no visitation. The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Muncy Public Library, 108 S. Main St., Muncy, PA 17756, or the Lycoming County S.P.C.A, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.

Hurley Dave R. Davis
Hurley R. Dave Davis, 69, of 2851 Cochran Avenue, DuBoistown, died at his home on Sunday, February 10, 2002. Born Oct. 25, 1932 in Berwick, he was a son of Harold R. and Hazel M. Longenberger Davis.
Dave was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired after 25 years with Textron Lycoming.
Surviving are his wife, the former Doris M. Zerbe Gross; a son, Harold R. Davis, II, of Trout Run; a daughter, Diann Bennett of South Williamsport; step-daughter, Doris McKee of Cogan Station; step-son, Melvin L. Gross of Montgomery; brother, Floyd Davis of city; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. James E. Weibley officiating. Burial will be in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call at Sanders from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Audrey B. Burkholder
Audrey B. Burkholder, 65, of 1861 Log Run Road, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002 at her home following a lengthy illness. She and her husband, Billy M., observed their 40th wedding anniversary Aug. 19.
Born July 28, 1936 in Troy, a daughter of Guy and Helen Letts Bolt.
Surviving besides her husband, are sons, Robert D. Carriker of Sayre, Brian K. Burkholder of West Olive, MI and Dana R. Burkholder of Williamsport; daughters, Penny Rae Sample of Jersey Shore and Dawn Marie Thompson of Deland, FL; brother, Walter Bolt of Athens; sister, Bernice Barrett of Lowman, NY; and five grandchildren.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, at 1 p.m. at Knight-Confers, 1914 Memorial Ave., with Rev. Ruth M. Romberger officiating. Visitation from 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday. Interment in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
David E. Ebersole
David E. Ebersole, 33, of Clearfield, a former mold designer with West Company and Shop Vac died Monday, at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Surviving are his parents, David H. and Mary Jane Ebersole of Millmont; a sister and a brother.
Friends may call at the Lewisburg Alliance Church, off Route 15 South at Supplee Mill Road on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m.
