Margaret Giosa, 99, of Nazareth, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 in Gracedale.
Born: Margaret was born on April 18, 1915 in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late Anthony and Caroline (DiMarco) Ciambrone.
Personal: Margaret was married to James Giosa until his passing in 2001.
Memberships: Margaret was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Golden Age Club and the ILGWU.
Survivors: Margaret is survived by daughter Joann Mattes and husband Jack of Danielsville.; grandchildren Kathleen Mattes Longo, Susan Mattes Bostian, John Mattes III, and Karen Mattes Anderko; nine great-grandchildren; sister Anna Renaldi of Easton; brothers Nicholas Ciambrone of Palmer Twp. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by sisters Philomena Nothestine, Mary Rossi, and Angelina Simmons and brothers Joseph, William, Frank, Andrew Chet, Ralph, and John Ciambrone.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery, Easton.

Carl Scrafano
March 27, 1927 - January 29, 2015
Carl Scrafano, 87, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 in his home.
Born: Carl was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Carl and Grace (Brasso) Scrafano.
Personal: Carl was married to the former Concetta M. Scerbo before her passing. He worked as a Route Salesman for Hostess. He served in the US Navy during World War II.
Memberships: Carl was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and the Holy Name Society.
Survivors: Carl is survived by his daughters Nancy Jason and husband Todd of Palmer Twp.; a brother Edward Scrafano of Forks Twp.; grandchildren Heather King, David, King, Kristi Weiss; great-grandchildren Alondra King, and Chloe King. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by a daughter Carol Scrafano, and a step-brother Richard Scrafano.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also on Monday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.

Grace Marie Oieni
August 7, 1945 - January 22, 2015
Grace Marie Oieni, 69, of Bethlehem Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 in Easton Hospital.
Born: Grace was born on August 7, 1945 in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Alercia) Castronuovo.
Personal: Grace was married to Francesco Frank Oieni.
Memberships: Grace was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and of the Circolo San Placido.
Survivors: In addition to her husband, Grace is survived by her son Frankie Oieni of Easton and her brother Stephen Castronuovo of Easton. She is predeceased by her daughter JoMarie Oieni.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Monday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Entombment will be in St. Anthonys Mausoleum, Williams Twp.
Memorial Contributions: Contributions may be made in Graces memory to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 900 Washington St., Easton, PA 18042.

Joyce A. Mendock
Joyce A. Mendock, 90, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in her home.
Born: She was born in Phillipsburg, NJ, a daughter of the late William and Beatrice (Caldwell) Lear.
Personal: Joyce was married to Francis J. Mendock, Sr., formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, before his passing.
Memberships: She was a member of Phillipsburg Congregation of Jehovahs Witness for 59 years.
Survivors: Joyce is survived by a son Don Mendock and his wife Elba of Phillipsburg, NJ; four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son James Mendock, and granddaughter Lisa.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Sunday from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a funeral service at 2:30 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Placido Sortino
May 13, 1938 - February 7, 2015
Placido Patrick Poppy Sortino, 76, of Bethlehem Twp., passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 in St. Lukes Anderson Campus.
Placido was born May 13, 1938 in Easton, PA, a son of the late Salvatore Sr. and Caterina (Corpora) Sortino.
Placido was married to the former Mary Flyte until her passing on January 29, 2013. He was an owner and operator of Sortino Brothers Auto. Placido remained self-employed his entire life and had a passion for automobiles. His entrepreneurial spirit later expanded into ownership of the Godfather Lounge and the Gimblet. Placido enjoyed being independent, active, and most importantly, helping others.
Placido was a member of Wilson Borough Republican Club, Citizens Hose Co., Safety First, and the Palmer Volunteer Fire Co.
Placido is survived by his daughters Rose Sortino with whom he resided, Cindy Remaley of Stockertown, Kathy Lippincott of Wilson Borough, and Patricia Pool of Tennesee; stepsons Terry Buskirk of Palmer Twp., and Michael Buskirk of Easton; brother Salvatore Sortino, Jr., of Palmer Twp.; sisters Mary DiGirolamo of Palmer Twp., and Rosemarie Miller of Lower Nazareth; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by a brother, Angelo Sortino, Sr.; a son, Patrick Sortino; a granddaughter Antoinette Gillen; and stepsons, Melvin and Robert Buskirk.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also on Thursday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 9th and Lehigh Streets in Easton. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp., PA.

Lynne M. Starke
Lynne M. Starke, 62, of Easton, PA, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, February 9, 2015.
Lynne was born in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late William Lynn and Victoria (Salvaggio) Tone.
Lynne was married to Richard J. Starke, with whom she celebrated 42 years of marriage this January 13. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, class of 1971. Throughout her life, Lynne worked in childcare and long term care pharmaceuticals. She was the best Wife, Mom and Nanny in the world, who enjoyed sailing the Atlantic Ocean with her husband and best friend Rich. Family meant everything to her.
Lynne was a member of the Catholic Faith. She was a member of Easton Zoning Board, and she was a coach for Easton little league girls softball.
In addition to her husband, Lynne is survived by a son Richard W. Starke and wife Jessy Smyth of Lansdowne, PA; a daughter Brandi Donnelly and husband Paul of Roseland, NJ; grandchildren Nicholas, Anna and Victoria Donnelly; sisters Mary Kunkel, Donna Merring, Colleen Ziegenhorn; brothers Francis, William, John, Michael, Gerald and Stephen Tone. Lynne has joined her grandson Henry Donnelly in Heaven.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a funeral service at 5:30 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Catherine M. Yankowy
May 12, 1928 - February 20, 2015
Catherine was born in Bethlehem, PA, a daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Scarpino) DeBona.
Catherine celebrated 68 years of marriage with her husband William J. Yankowy. on November 29th.
Catherine was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Bath, PA.
Catherine is survived by a daughter Juliann Garcia and husband Robert of Nazareth; her sons Nicholas J. Yankowy and wife Michele of Easton, Michael A. Yankowy and wife Sharon of Cresco, PA; grandchildren Andrea, Tiffany, Brooke, Joshua, Kyle, Colleen, Brenda, Eric, Kiesha, Rob, Travis and Jessica; twenty one great-grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son William P. Yankowy, and a brother Nicholas DeBona.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also on Wednesday from 12:30 pm until 1:30pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30pm in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 210 E. Northampton Street, Bath, PA. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.

Loretta A. Kaczanowski
Loretta A. Kaczanowski, 84, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 in Lehigh Valley Hospice.
Loretta was born in Delta, Utah, a daughter of the late Albert and Rose (Nutsch) Huber.
Loretta was married to John C. Kaczanowski, Sr. for 65 years. She was a graduate of Jerome High School, in Jerome, Idaho. While living in Bound Brook, New Jersey, she became a secretary for the Bound Brook Police Dept., before retiring in 1990. She loved spending time working on jigsaw puzzles, flower arrangements, and spending time with family.
Loretta was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, President of Bound Brook Rescue Auxiliary, and a former member of St. Marys Rosary Society.
In addition to her husband, Loretta is survived by a son John Kaczanowski, Jr. and wife Liz of Bound Brook, NJ; daughters Susan Olivo and husband Vincent of Pittstown, NJ, Nancy Fontaine and husband Ciro of Bound Brook, NJ, Lori Sassano and husband Bill of Palmer Twp. PA; grandchildren Jill, John, Brandon, Alicia, Will; a step-granddaughter Denise; great-grandchildren Gracie, and Jenna Rose; step-great-grandchildren Gabriel, Logan and Sierra.
Services were private at the request of the family. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp).
Contributions in Lorettas memory may be made to St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA 18045.

Mary E. Regina
August 15, 1920 - February 15, 2015
Mary Elizabeth Regina, 94, of Easton, PA passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015 in Abington Manor.
She was born in Easton, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Bilotta) Viscomi.
Mary was married to the late Joseph Paul Regina for 69 years until his passing in 2011.
She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Easton.
Mary is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Anthony and Frank Viscomi.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the Morello Funeral Home Inc., 3720 Nicholas St., Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Williams Twp.

Robert C.J. Miller
June 6, 1941 - February 19, 2015
Robert C.J. Miller, 73, of Easton, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 St. Lukes VNA Hospice House.
Born: Robert was born in Allentown, PA, the son of the late Robert and Anna (Milkovitz) Miller.
Personal: Robert was married to the former Karen Harvey, with whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War as a Field Medic. He was a Management Executive of Mack Printing for 40 years before retiring in 2008. Robert was a graduate of William Allen High School, Allentown. He studied Business Administration at St. Marys of the Plains College in Dodge City, Kansas. He enjoyed motorcycles, corvettes, golf, traveling, and lunch with friends. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Memberships: Robert was a member of the Catholic faith. He was also a member of the Easton Rod and Gun Club, Wilson Boro Republican Club, and the Palmer Fire Co.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by a son Rob Miller, wife Courtney of Nazareth; a daughter Stacey Wallach, husband Todd of Palmer Twp.; grandchildren Zachary Miller and Brayden Wallach.
Services: A gathering will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 am to 11:30 am in Morello Funeral Home, 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a funeral service at 11:30 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
Memorial Contributions: Contributions in Roberts memory may be made to St. Lukes VNA Hospice, 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
