Kara L. Niski, 34, of Palmer Twp., passed away on Saturday, October 6th. Born: Kara was born in Wilson Boro, PA, a daughter of Stephen and Veronica (Morrow) Niski of Bushnell, FL. Personal: Kara was a self-employed Dentist. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, class of 1996, received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Cedar Crest College in 2000, and her DMD at UMDNJ in 2004. Memberships: Kara was of the Catholic faith. She was a member of AGD, Volunteer Clinical Instructor at Lehigh Valley Hospital Residency Program, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Survivors: In addition to her parents, Kara is survived by her husband, George Kunsman, Jr.; daughter Jordyn Alexandria Kunsman who resides at home, step-daughter Jaymee-Leigh Kunsman of William’s Twp.; and a sister Stephanie and her husband L. Gene Strausser, Jr., and their son Austin of Phillipsburg, NJ. Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a memorial service in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). Interment will be private. Rosa Gatti

Rosa ‘Rose’ Gatti, 86 of Nazareth, formerly of Easton, passed away Tuesday October 9, 2012 in Gracedale.
Born: She was born in 1925 in Poca Paglia, Italy a daughter of the late Luigi and Delphina Vegetabile.
Personal: Rose was preceded in death by her husband Piero in 1992. She was employed as a seamstress for Joseph’s Clothier in Easton for many years. Prior to Joseph’s, Rose was employed with Strongwear Pants Co. of Easton. Rosa’s great loves were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her passions were dancing and listening to Italian music, especially on Tempo Italiano.
Memberships: She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton.
Survivors: Rose is survived by her sons Tullio Gatti and wife Cindi of Collegeville, PA, Frank Gatti and wife Joan of Easton; daughters Marie Pelonero and husband Robert of Bethlehem Twp., Elizabeth Fetherman and husband Don of Palmer Twp.; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A sister Frances and a brother Lorenzo Vegetabile along with several other sisters and brothers in Italy preceded Rose in death.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Friday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, PA 18045. Entombment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Williams Twp.
Rosemary Presutti

Rosemary Presutti, 92, Forks Twp., passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus.
Born: Rosemary was born in Roseto, PA, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria Sabatino.
Personal: In her younger years, Rosemary was a Girl Scout and played softball. Later, she helped with the family businesses, Supreme Auto Body and Aldo’s Quick Wash.
Memberships: Rosemary was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Survivors: Rosemary is survived by her daughters Gail Winter and husband Dennis, and Adele Presutti, both of Forks Twp.; her sisters Millie Tedesco of Roseto, Grace Tinsley of E. Bangor, Ida Ovcarich of Miami Springs, FL; grandchildren Sean and Kyle Winter, and Nicolas Presutti. She is preceded in death by her husband Aldo Presutti in 1988; her son Aldo Presutti in 2012; sisters Teresa Delfino, Evelyn Sabatine; brothers Phillip, Frank and Dominic Sabatino.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 8:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.

Lois D. Scerbo

Lois D. Scerbo, 84, of Allentown, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Born: Lois was born in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late Ira and Josephine Dalrymple.
Personal: Lois was a Purchasing Agent for Lehigh Valley Hospital before retiring in 1994. Prior to that she was an operator and supervisor for Bell Telephone of Easton from 1946-1958. She also worked for Sonoco Products of Phillipsburg from 1959-1979. She was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1946.
Survivors: Lois is survived by her son George and wife Carol Scerbo of Salisbury Twp.; daughter Christine and husband Robert Jesiolowski of Oley; a sister Janice and husband Robert Stem of Palmer Twp.; grandchildren Jonathan Scerbo, Erica Lewis, SilveaRae Miller, Jessie Jesiolowski; great-grandchild Vincent Scerbo; three step-granddaughters and eight step-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Silve G. Scerbo, to whom she was married for 43 years before his passing; brothers Melvin, Elroyde and Keith Dalrymple.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Saturday from noon to 1 pm followed by a funeral service in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.

Mildred E. Petrignani

Mildred E. Petrignani, 83, of Easton, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 in Eastwood Care & Rehab Center.
Born: Mildred was born in Slatington, PA, a daughter of the late Alfred and Clara Horn.
Personal: Mildred and her husband Nicholas L. Petrignani celebrated 53 years of marriage. Before her retirement in 1991, she was a seamstress for the former PenBrooke Swimwear of Easton, where she designed swimsuits that were worn and featured during the Miss USA Pageant. She was a graduate of Slatington High School.
Memberships: Mildred was a member of the Allentown Museum of Art.
Survivors: In addition to her husband, Mildred is survived by her sons Chris Kuntz and wife Jane of Slatington, Eric Petrignani of Kunkletown; daughter Sheree Petrignani and husband Carl Horn of West Chester, NY; sisters Marie Roth of Allentown, Evelyn Neff of Washington Twp., PA; brothers Eugene Horn of Allentown, Vernon Horn of Slatington, Roy Horn of Slatington; grandchildren Denielle, Christopher Jr., Zachary, Ryan, Dominick, Nikolas, and Santino. She is preceded in death by several sisters and brothers.

Christa Marie Maholick
(July 2, 1968 - January 22, 2013)
Christa Marie (Casciole) Maholick, 44, of Nazareth Pa died on Tuesday, Jan 22, 2013 after a courageous 4 year battle with breast cancer.
Born: Christa was born on July 2, 1968 in Easton PA, a daughter of Louis Casciole and the late Theresa (Zalsky) Casciole.
Personal: Christa lived her entire life to the fullest with a passion, vigor and sense of humor that inspired so many along the way. Christa was an accomplished student, athlete and most importantly mother and wife. She devoted the last 12 years of her life raising her dear children, Lucas 11 and Kathryn 10, and caring for her mother who passed away almost 6 years ago. She was an avid sports fan and was passionate about Penn State football and the Phillies.
Christa attended St Jane’s in Wilson through 8th grade and Wilson High School, class of 1986. She graduated with high honors, was voted Homecoming queen, Prom queen, and Most Valuable Player of the track team. She also was a Majorette, a member of the National Honor Society. She served as the class secretary and participated in the Northampton County Junior Miss. She continued her education at Shippensburg University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance while lettering in Track and Field, participating in the Long Jump, Triple jump and relays.
Christa started her career at Liz Claiborne in NYC and then returned to the Lehigh Valley to work at Crayola where she met her husband Mike. While at Crayola, she attended graduate school at Lehigh University and earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration. She worked for Outer Circle Products in both Chicago and Virginia. After marriage and the birth of her son, she later moved to Delaware where she began her most cherished job of all as mother and wife. Christa loved her children and was devoted to nurturing every aspect of their lives. She taught them to be strong, stand up for what’s right and what you believe in, treat people with respect and be gracious for Gods gifts. She also taught them to laugh and have fun, and to appreciate all that life brings.
After her children were in grammar school, Christa pursued her desire to become a teacher, attending East Stroudsburg University and earning her teaching certification in elementary education. She served as a teacher’s aid and substitute teacher in the Nazareth and Bethlehem Area school districts. She also taught CCD prep classes at Holy Family Parish in Nazareth and was a board member of BeeSafe childrens preschool program.
Christa was grateful for the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at St Luke’s Hospital, Hospice and especially Dr. Schadt, Dr. Woodruff and Dr. Anna Niewiarowska and staff who provided exceptional care and compassion throughout her journey. She was also grateful to Lutron Electronics and the Nazareth Area School District who provided her husband and children with incredible support. She was most appreciative of our families and friends who made it possible for her to battle her illness for the last 4 years by providing support, food, laughs and unselfish love to make all of our lives as comfortable as possible during her long illness.
Survivors: In addition to her father, husband and children, Christa is survived by her sister Susan Casciole Raines, brother-in-law Adam Raines, sister-in-law Sharon Helm Casciole, brother Matthew; beloved nieces and Goddaughters Hannah Casciole and Morgan Casciole, father-in-law Anthony Maholick, mother-in-law Jeanne Maholick, brother-in-law Mark Maholick, sister-in-law Betsy Maholick, nephews Calvin and Samuel Maholick.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and also Monday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.

John P. Roscioli
(Died January 26, 2013)
John P. Roscioli, 59, of Easton, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013.
Born: John was born in Easton, PA. He was the son of the late Enio and Evelyn Roscioli.
Personal: John was a Penn State graduate earning a Bachelor’s degree in Management. John was employed as the manager of the Pilot truck stop in Bloomsbury NJ for many years, prior to working for Pilot; He was the proprietor of the Flowers Galore flower shop in Easton. Earlier in his life, John was employed by Moyer’s Lumber.
Survivors: John is survived by brothers; Edward Roscioli of Palmer Twp. PA, Anthony Roscioli of Mt. Airy MD and Albert Roscioli of Bethlehem Twp. PA and a sister, Linda Strauss of Macungie PA. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his sister Corolyn Roscioli.

Lucy G. Brooks, 78, of Palmer Twp., PA, a devoted wife and mother, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in St. Luke’s Hospital.
Born: Lucy was born in Martins Creek, PA, a daughter of the late Luigi and Rosa Cosenzo.
Personal: Lucy and her husband, Roger Brooks, celebrated 53 years of marriage last June 27. She attended Penn State and Indiana State. She was a second grade school teacher for St. Phillips & St. James Elementary Schools.
Memberships: Lucy was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church.
Survivors: In addition to her husband, Lucy is survived by her son Bryan Brooks and wife Beth of Easton, PA; daugthers Dr. Susan McDonald and husband Dr. Jerome McDonald of Lodi, CA, Deborah Sarisky and husband Brian of Sparta, NJ; sisters Filomena Mendolera of Streetsboro, OH, Lisa Kuhn of Forks Twp.; brother Joseph “Pippy” Cosenza of Nazareth; and four grandchildren. She is preceded in death by brothers Anthony “Tony” Cosenzo, John Cosenzo and Johnny Cosenzo.

Personal: Mary was the wife of the late Thomas E. Nelms.
