Yolanda M. Metrocavich, 74, of Palmer Twp., passed away Monday, August 8th in Easton Hospital.
Born: Yolanda was born on November 24, 1936 in Nutley, NJ, a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Gabriele Donadia.
Survivors: Yolanda is survived by her son Ronald Metrocavich; daughter Linda Barber of Palmer Twp.; sisters Rose Gilbertson of Toms River, NJ, Dorothy Dentato of Belleville, NJ, Anne Sena of Nutley, NJ; brother Natale Donadia of Fairfield, NJ; grandchildren Kenneth Barber Jr., Sherri Graves, Christina Barber and Michele Barber; great grandchildren Kenneth III, Jordan, Dylan, and Elijah. She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Metrocavich.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a memorial service at 6:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Julia Stefanovic

Julia Stefanovic, 93 of Easton passed away Wednesday August 24, 2011 in Gracedale Nursing Home, Upper Nazareth, PA.
Born: She was born on May 29, 1918 in Wharton, NJ a daughter of the late John and Mary Kosko Ferko.
Personal: Julia was preceded in death by her first husband Paul Amato in 1971 and her second husband Matthew Stefanovic in 1992.
Memberships: She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Easton.
Survivors: Julia is survived by her niece Barbara Unangst of Palmer Twp. In addition to her husbands, Julia is preceded in death by her sisters Irene Nagy, Pearl Sekso, Margaret Toth and brothers Louis Toth and Andrew Toth.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 9:00am until 10:00am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00am in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Williams Twp.

William P. Chordas

William P. Chordas, 66 of Palmer Twp. passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 in his home.
Born: He was born on June 26, 1945 in Johnstown, PA a son of the late George and Pearl Mincheck Chordas.
Personal: William was employed as a CNC Programmer for Egan Davis Standard.
Memberships: He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Palmer Twp.
Survivors: William is survived by his wife, the former Debora Hall, a son Patrick Chordas of Bethlehem, daughters; Kelly Chordas of Palmer Twp., Carrie Chordas of Sommerville, NJ, Tracey Chordas of Sommerville, NJ; sisters Kathy of Stewartsville, FL, Dorothy of Johnstown, PA and a brother George of Kunkletown, PA. A sister Patti preceded William in death.
Services: Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp.

Ann Marie Miller

Ann Marie Miller, 52, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 6th in St. Luke’s Hospital.
Born: Ann Marie was born on October 22, 1958 in Wilson Boro, a daughter of Mary Noto Miller of Bethlehem, and the late Earl Miller, Sr.
Personal: She was a certified nursing assistant for Warren Hospital.
Memberships: Ann Marie was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Survivors: Ann Marie is survived by her daughter Carrie Miller of Bethlehem, PA; sister Julie Altonen of Bethlehem; brothers Charles Miller of Wind Gap, Pa, Earl Miller, Jr. of North Charleston, SC.; and many nieces and nephews.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Ruth B. Brown
(July 2, 1920 - August 6, 2011)
Ruth B. Brown, 91, of William’s Twp., PA, passed away on Saturday, August 6th in Moravian Village of Bethlehem.
Born: Ruth was born on July 2, 1920 in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, a daughter of the late Charls and Hazel Dallimore Bacon.
Personal: Ruth was employed by the University of Rhode Island in charge of staff and faculty travel prior to that she was the assistant treasurer of Write inc., formerly of Conn. and also Vice-President of the A-1-A Corporation formerly of Bridgeport Conn.
Memberships: Ruth was a member of Wakefield Baptist Church, and AARP.
Survivors: Ruth is survived by her daughter Ruth Feldstein of Easton; two granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her sister Mary-Jane Bacon.
Services: Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Oscar Rodrigo Zapata
(March 3, 1942 - August 15, 2011)
Oscar Rodrigo Zapata, 69, of Easton, PA, passed away on Monday, August 15th in Easton Hospital.
Born: Oscar was born on March 3, 1942, in Medellin, Columbia, a son of the late Pedro and Teresa Ortega Zapata.
Personal: Oscar was a welder for Innovative Office Products, retiring in 2008.
Memberships: He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church.
Survivors: Oscar is survived by his wife Maria Rosalbe Espinosa de Zapata; sons John “Fredy” Zapata of Easton, Rodrigo Alonso Zapata of Easton, Carlos Mario Zapata of Medellin Columbia; brother Jairo Zapata of Phillipsburg, NJ; grandchildren John Michael, Johnny, Giovanni, Jonathan, Christian, and Carlos Joel.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 7:00 pm in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 131 Davis Street, Easton, PA. Entombment will be in Medellin, Columbia.

Ruth Boscia

Ruth N. Boscia, 94 of Easton passed away Thursday September 1, 2011 in Gracedale Nursing Home, Upper Nazareth, PA.
Born: She was born on July 26, 1917 in Easton a daughter of the late James M. and Grace Young Storm.
Personal: Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband Walter Mainerd Sloyer in 1962 and her second husband Joseph Boscia in 2004. She was employed as a bookkeeper for the former FW Woolworths in Easton retiring in 1982. She was a graduate of Easton High School class of 1935.
Memberships: Ruth was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton.
Survivors: Ruth is survived by her grandchildren Walter M. Sloyer of Forks Twp., Sean O. Sloyer of Jacksonville, FL; great grandchildren Timothy Sloyer, Ronald A. Sloyer; nieces Grace, Stephanie and a nephew Kerry. Son Ronald W. Sloyer and brothers Edward, Walter and James M. Storm all preceded Ruth in death.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and Wednesday from 9:00am until 10:00am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery.

Julia M. Rice
(Died August 30, 2011)
Julia M. Rice, 97 of Tatamy, PA passed away on Tuesday August 30, 2011 in St. Luke’s VNA Hospice House, Bethlehem.
Born: She was born on April 12, 1914 in Stockertown, PA a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Ann Guzina Sanders.
Personal: Julia was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1992. She was employed as a sewing machine operator retiring in 1976.
Memberships: She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth.
Survivors: Julia is survived by nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Julia is preceded in death by her son William Sanders, sisters Helen Howey, Elizabeth Marseller and brothers Joseph, Steven, Frank, Lewis and George.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Friday from 8:15am until 9:15am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:00am in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 9th and Lehigh Streets in Easton. Interment will be in Bethlehem Memorial Park, Bethlehem.
William A. Messenlehner
(Died September 16, 2011)
William A. “Willy” Messenlehner, 86 of Forks Twp. passed away Friday September 16, 2011 in Easton Hospital, Wilson Boro.
Born: He was born on August 3, 1925 in Nazareth a son of the late Alex and Theresa Horvath Messenlehner.
Personal: Willy and his wife, the former Helen Riley celebrated 65 years of marriage together. He was the proprietor of Willy’s Tire Service, Inc. until his retirement in 1993. Previously, Willy was employed as a service man with Easton Tire Co.
Willy and Helen enjoyed many years traveling the polka circuit, dancing at Seven Springs, the Catskills, Musikfest and Coplay Saengerbund. Ever the trendsetters, other dancers copied their flair for matching outfits. His joy in life was spending each day with his loving wife, and visiting with his children and granddaughters. Laughter filled the room whenever he was around. Even in his last week of life, he had the kids laughing loud and long at his stories.
Memberships: He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Palmer Twp. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Willy is survived by his children Marlene Lakey and husband Dale of Bethlehem Twp., Michael Messenlehner and wife Diane of Wilson Boro., Ann Lear and husband Don of Palmer Twp., Kathleen Frederick and husband David of Bethlehem; a sister Hilda Gondek of Nazareth and granddaughters Amy and Regan. A son William preceded Willy in death.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and Wednesday morning from 8:30am until 9:30am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00am in the church, 4049 Hartley Ave. Palmer Twp. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
