John F. Charney Jr.
John F. Charney, Jr. 73 of Forks Twp. passed away Saturday, February 12, 2005 in Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth.
Born: August 7, 1931 in Jessup, PA, he was the son of the late John F. and T. Marie Kiley Charney Sr.
Personal: John and his wife, Catherine Margaret Charney celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary on April 10, 2004. He served in the US Army during WWII. John graduated from Trenton State College in NJ with a bachlers degree in industrial engineering. He was employed as a facilities engineer for American Hoechst Company of Sommerville, NJ until 1993.
Memberships: John was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Easton. He also was a life member of Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks in Flemington, NJ Post #1928, American Legion Post #0159 in Flemington, NJ, Safety 1st Volunteer Fire Co. in West Easton and the FLEAS Club of Easton.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, he is survived by a step son, William E. Howell Jr. of Easton; a sister, Barbara Ann VanDerlaan of Kenlon, NJ; a brother, Gerald E. Charney of Karney, NJ and a step grandson, Timothy B. Howell. A stepson, David T. Howell preceded John in death.
Services: Wednesday, 8:00pm in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St., Palmer, PA. Call Wednesday, 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Memorials: In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Bernard's Church 132 South 5th St. Easton, PA 18042.

Mary A. Kolessar
Mary A. Kolessar 84, of Easton passed away March 30, 2004 in her home.
Born: July 27, 1919 in Wilson Boro, Pa a daughter of the late Gabriel and Anna Kleinschuster Haffner
Personal: Her husband Michael P. Kolessar died June 14, 1985
Memberships: She was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton
Survivors: A son Michael J. Kolessar and wife Irene of Northampton; a stepson Richard E. Kolessar and wife Susan in New Jersey; two daughters Mary F. Helm and husband Edward III of Saylorsburg and Gertrude Hess and husband Carl of Easton.
Grandchildren, Mary Breiner, Charles and Edward Helm IV, Brian , Jason, Joshua , and Kerri Hess and Rachel Hurley; ten Great Grandchildren.
A brother George Haffner of Easton.
Three sisters and four brothers all died earlier, Margaret Altenbach, Katherine McLen, Anna Rickline, Frank, Gabriel, Joseph and Stephen Haffner
Services: Friday 9:15am in the Morello Funeral Home 3720 Nicholas Street in Palmer followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 9th and Lehigh Streets in Easton. Call Friday 8:15am to 9:15am in the funeral home
Interment: Gethsemane Cemetery
Memorials: may be made to the church.

Lawrence Bozzomo
Lawrence Bozzomo, 86, of Palmer Twp., passed away Saturday, May, 15 2004 in Easton Hospital.
Born: He was born August 16, 1917, in Easton, PA a son of the late Egnazio and Antoinette Cuvo Bozzomo.
Personal: He is suvived by his wife the former Louise G. Debiasi with whom he celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on Oct. 5th. Mr. Bozzomo was the former proprietor of Larry's Bar in Easton and was later employed by Packard's Liquor Store in Phillipsburg, NJ before retiring in 1984.
Memberships: He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 9th & Lehigh St. in Easton.
Survivors: In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Lawrence Bozzomo and his wife Cynthia of Glen Cove, NY; a daughter Marie Schaible and her husband Bernie of Palmer Twp.; four grandchildren, one step grandson, seven greatgrandchildren and a sister Antoinette Corona of LasVegas, Nevada. A sister Connie Corona preceded him in death.
Services: Visitation will be held Monday, 6-8 pm and also Tuesday 8am until 9:15 am in the Morello Funeral Home 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer, PA. Services will be held Tuesday at 9:15 am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthonys Church.
Entombment: St. Anthonys Mausoleum.

Frank P. Casella
Frank P. Casella 83, of Wilson Boro passed away on Sunday August 15, 2004
Born: April 20, 1921 in Easton, PA a son of the late Peter and Angelina Butto Casella
Personal: His wife the former Mary Basak passed away on May 5, 2004 Frank was a plumber for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation retiring in 1983. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a graduate of Easton High School Class of 1939
Memberships: He was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors: a son William and his wife Liz of Wilson, North Carolina and two grandchildren William Jr. and Gina . Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death, Lena Nunes, Lucy Guerra, Henry and Samuel
Services: 9:15am Friday in the Morello Funeral Home 3720 Nicholas Street in Palmer followed by a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Anthony of Padua catholic Church 9th & Lehigh Streets in Easton. Call 8:00am to 9:15am in thefuneral home.
Interment : Gethsemane Cemetery in Palmer.

Sebastiana "Bessie" A. Mazzeo
Sebastiana 'Bessie' A. Mazzeo 79, of Easton, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2004 in Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth.
Born: She was born July 28, 1925 in Easton, PA a daughter of the late Angelo and Marianna Guzzo Gigliotti.
Personal: She is preceded in death by her husband Salvatore A. Mazzeo in 1975. Mrs. Mazzeo retired in 1991 from Easton Area School District where she had been employed as a teacher at Paxinosa Elementary School.
Memberships: She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 9th & Lehigh St. in Easton. Professionally Bessie was a member of the PSEA and NEA. She also belonged to the Golden Age Society and Sacred Heart Sodality of St. Anthony's Church where she also worked as a part time volunteer for many years.
Survivors: She is survived by two sons Stephen A. Mazzeo and his wife Carole of Palmer, Twp., Salvatore 'Sam' A. Mazzeo and his wife Susan of Cincinati Ohio, and three grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a sister Maria Gigliotti.
Services: Wednesday, 9:15 am in the Morello Funeral Home 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer, PA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony's Church. Call one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer, PA.
Memorials: May be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. 2045 Westgate Dr. Suite 302, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

Anna P. Bennice
Anna P. Bennice, 92, of Palmer Twp., passed away Sunday, November 21, 2004 in Manor Care Health Services in Palmer Twp.
Born: January 13, 1912, In Easton, PA she was the daughter of the late Alphonso and Angelina Marcavio Pellicotti.
Personal: Anna was preceded in death by her husband Antonio Bennice in 1966. She was employed as a school teacher for the Easton Area School District for 30 years. She was a graduate of Easton High School class of 1929 and West Chester State Teacher College class of 1933 with a BS is Education.
Memberships: She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton. She also was a member of PSEA, NEA, and PA Retired Teachers Associations.
Survivors: Anna is survived by her son, Anthony T. Bennice and his wife Malinda of Palmer Twp.; She is predeceased by three sisters and one brother, Helen Pellicotti, Lucy Ferrante, Mary Garletta, Peter Pellicotti.
Services: 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer, PA followed by a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 9th and Lehigh Streets, Easton. Call 1 hour prior to service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.

Anthony J. Lombardo
Anthony J. Lombardo, 84 of Forks Township formerly of Easton passed away February 8, 2005 in Easton Hospital.
Born: February 13, 1920 in New York, New York he was the son of the late Frank and Rose Lombardo.
Personal: He and his wife the former Carmella 'Helen' Busco celebrated their 49 wedding anniversary November 26, 2004. Anthony was employed as an extruder operator for the former Dixie Co. in Wilson Boro retiring in 1982. He graduated from Easton High School class of 1939. he also served in the U.S. Army combat engineers in the Philippines.
Memberships: Anthony was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 9th and Lehigh Streets Easton.
Survivors: In addition to his wife he is survived by a sister; Rose Viscomi of North Carolina; a brother Emanuel Lombardo of New Jersey, and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by sisters; Anne Mangino, Antoinette Hitzel, Mary Hitzel, Jennie Kolbe and brothers; Joseph Lombardo and Louis Lombardo.
Services: Friday 9:30am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas Street, Palmer PA followed by a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Call Friday Morning from 8:30am until 9:30am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Saint Anthony's cemetery in William Township.
Memorials: May be made to the church 900 Washington Street Easton, PA 18042 or the Northampton County SPCA, Tumble Creek Road Easton, PA 18042

Rose M. Capanna
(August 31, 1922 - June 16, 2011)
Rose M. Capanna, 88, formerly of Easton, PA, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Thursday, June 16th in Gracedale Nursing Home.
Born: Rose was born on August 31, 1922, in Phillipsburg, NJ, a daughter of the late Paul and Mary Stephano Torcivia.
Personal: Rose loved being surrounded by her family, especially at holiday times. She was so proud of working hard to help send her sons to college. She was a cafeteria worker for Easton Area High School before retiring in 1987.
Memberships: Rose was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Sodality, Golden Age of St. Anthony’s, Ambassador Club at St. Paul’s III Lutheran Church.
Survivors: Rose is survived by her sons Joseph Capanna of Forks Twp., Dennis Capanna of Bath; grandchildren Jill, Lynn, Tracey, Kristy; great-grandchildren Justin, Logan, Emma, and Lucia. She is preceded in death by her husband Sam Capanna.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Monday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a prayer service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.

Joseph A. Silvestri
(October 4, 1931 - June 24, 2011)
Joseph A. Silvestri, 79, of Palmer Twp., passed away Friday, June 24th at home.
Born: Joseph was born on October 4, 1931, in Easton, PA, a son of the late Joseph and Filomena Silvestri.
Personal: Joseph last worked as a court security officer for the County of Northampton. Previously, he was employed by J.T. Baker Chemical Company for 38 years as a forklift operator and later as a courier. He was the husband of Lena Frinzi Silvestri with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.
Memberships: Joseph was a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Easton. He was a graduate of Easton Area High School Class of 1950, where he will be remembered as a standout basketball player. Most recently, his sport of choice was golf. He logged many miles over the years while walking to keep fit. Joe also enjoyed discussing politics and sports. He volunteered at the St. Francis Retreat House and the Society of St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Susanne Galanski and her husband, Stan of Ridgefield, CT, Joseph M. Silvestri and his wife, Carolyn, of New York, NY, and Debra Langen and her husband Tim, of Bath; seven grandchildren, Gabriel, Adam, and Julia Galanski, Michael and Patrick Langen, Alex and Olivia Silvestri; nieces Maryann Culligan, Patricia Gangwere; and a nephew James Tanborelli. He was predeceased by his sisters Jenny Verenna, Mary Mutchler, and Eleanor Gangwere.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and also Monday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am in St. Antony of Padua Church, 9th & Lehigh Street, Easton, PA. Interment will be at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
Memorial Contributions: Contributions may be made in Joseph’s name to the American Cancer Society, Lehigh Valley Unit, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017, or to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 900 Washington Street, Easton, PA 18042.
