Ruth E. (Igo) Samuels, 60, of York, died at 2:40 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2001, at her home. She was the wife of Robert E. Samuels.
The service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 24th, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Samuels was born September 18, 1941, in Reade Township, Cambria County, Flinton, PA. She was the daughter of Lillian H. (Frye) Smith of York.
Mrs. Samuels was a homemaker. She was a 1959 graduate of Altoona High School and she enjoyed playing bingo.
Mrs. Samuels is also survived by two sons, Timothy R. Samuels of Rockmart, GA and Thomas M. Samuels of York; two grandsons, Kyle R. Samuels and Arron M. Samuels, both of York; a brother, William A. Igo of York; a sister, Joan M. Shiffler of Altoona; and her devoted and constant companion, her dog, Tyler.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Alfred W. Miller of First Evangelical Congregational Church in Lebanon.
