Pombo, Betty J., 60, of Cape May Court House died peacefully on Monday, February 8, 2010 after battling cancer. Born in Bridgeton to Harriet Smathers and Roy Gilbert she grew up in the Williamstown area and has been a longtime resident of Dias Creek. She worked at Crest Haven Nursing Home for 19 years and also at Cape May Linen. She attended the Green Creek Community Church and First United Methodist Church in Cape May Court House. She will be missed by her family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
Betty is survived by her children: Stephanie, Brian, and Vincent Pombo; granddaughters Emma and Hayden; foster father Louis Cericola; and sisters Rose Hanson and Joyce Cericola. She was predeceased by her sister Roberta Gilbert and foster mother Ethel Cericola.
Memorial Services will be Friday, February 12th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Love of Linda Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260 and Hope Community Cancer Center, 210 U.S. Rt. 9, Marmora, NJ 08223.

Maureen Ruth (Nee Felton) Poole AGE: 58

DIED: Friday, October 31, 2008 AT: Taylor Hospice in Ridley Park, PA Born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Havertown, PA, she had been a resident of Media, PA for 40 years.
EDUCATION: Graduate Cardinal O'Hara High School
EPLOYMENT: Pilot Air Freight, Middletown Twp., PA as a Lead Auditor
ORGANIZATIONS: Maureen enjoyed life and was devoted to her family and home; she especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
SURVIVORS: Survived by her husband: Roy Poole, Jr.; Two Sons: Roy (Andrea) Poole, III of Middletown Twp., PA and Eric J. (Alyssa) Poole of Middletown, PA; One Brother: Edward Felton of Lexington Park, Maryland; Two Sisters: Barbara Donnelly of Wallingford, PA and Linda Greco of Havertown, PA; Also survived by Five Grandchildren: Ryan, Jason, Gabrielle, Kolby and Zachary Poole.

Hazel M. (nee Hartzke) Poole, a woman of great faith who completely trusted her Lord AGE: 101 OF: Wilmington, Delaware and formerly of Wallingford, PA DIED: Thursday, June 12, 2008 AT Forwood Manor Born: Philadelphia, PA she had been a resident of Wallingford, PA for 20 years, before moving to Wilmington, Delaware 18 years ago.
EDUCATION: Attended West Philadelphia High School for Girls
EMPLOYMENT: Worked as a Dental Hygienist in Philadelphia, was Secretary to the Administrator of Widows and Single Women's Society in Philadelphia; as well as an Assistant in a small business. She also worked as a seamstress through out her life.
ORGANIZATIONS: Church: Member Crosspointe Church Pca
Media, PA, where she was involved in many activities serving in her Church by making costumes for pageants and plays.
Other: Hazel will be missed and loved by many and will be remembered for her selfless acts of service and for her never-ending strong faith in God. She was a member of the Board at Penn State Extension where she taught smocking, candle wicking, counted cross-stitch and embroidery and a long time member of the Brandywine Chapter of the Embroiders' Guild. She won many ribbons for her embroidery. She was also active with the Garden City Fire House Auxiliary for many years.
Wife of the late William L. Poole and daughter of the late Thomas Hartzke and Mary Pickin Hartzke.
SURVIVORS: Survived by Two Sons: William L. Poole, Jr. of Mary Esther, Florida and Richard L. Poole of Greer, South Carolina; One Daughter: Dorothy (nee Poole) Wilmoth of Brookhaven, PA; Also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

YORK - Ann Jane (Davis) Possinger, 76, of York, died at 12:30 p.m.,
Thursday, October 18, 2001, at York Hospital. She was the wife of John F. Possinger.
There will be no services. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Possinger was born March 24, 1925, in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She was the daughter of the late Charles Davis.
Mrs. Possinger was a homemaker and a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in York.
Mrs. Possinger is also survived by a son, John C. Possinger; and one grandchild.

Walter Pozer, Jr. AGE: 91
OF: Folsom, Ridley Twp., PA and formerly of Prospect Park, PA DIED: Monday, March 9, 2009 at Taylor Hospital, Ridley Park, PA Born in Chicago, Illinois
EDUCATION; Graduate Lindblom High School, Chicago, IL where he was a member of the Championship Gumnastic Team for 3 years and also the swimming team
Purdue University, BSPE, While a student at Purdue, Walter was a member of the swimming team and Purdue Gymnastic Club serving as a Coach with the Gymnastic Club.
Walter was a candidate for the Olympic Gym Team, but the 1940 Olympics were cancelled due to Hitler's invasion of Europe.
VETERAN: US NAVY serving during World War II. While serving in the Navy, Walter was a member of the US Navy Great Lakes, Illinois Swimming Team, who were the National Swimming Champs. He attained the rank of Chief Specialist "A" - Navy Swimming Instructor.
Walter met Gene Kelly while he was doing a film on the cure of "Combat Fatigue" (common interest during WW II). This was at the Navy Rehab Program, Swarthmore, PA (former Mary Lyons School - changed to Navy Out Patient Hospital).
EMPLOYMENT: Tilden Middle School and University High School, Philadelphia, PA as a Physical Education Teacher, retiring in 1980. Coached the Gymnastic Team at Tilden and won the City Championship in 1975. He also Coached Gym at University City High School, as well as Soccer at both schools.
PRIOR EMPLOYMENT: After WW II Walter worked at The VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois, doing Aquatic Therapy and Instructor in hand control cars for paraplegic patients. While working in the blind orientation program at the hospital in Hines he met Peter Falk who was a patient.
Organizations: He enjoyed Politics and was the Chairman of Prospect Park Democratic Party and ran for Burgess (Mayor) as well as Council. After his retirement, Walter did volunteer work with the homeless people and sick people who were home-bound.
Beloved Husband of the late Emily E. (Conway) Pozer who died in 1994. Walter met Emily while stationed at the Navy Convalescent Home in Swarthmore, PA He was also known as an International Artist of oil paintings.
SURVIVORS: Survived by his beloved nieces Jennifer Pezzotti of Brookhaven, PA who cared for him and Nana Krueger of California;
